I'm closing this thread due to

1) incessant stupidity
2) 71 freakin' pages

You guys can start another one (please link to everything of significance from this thread in the first post), but keep in mind that it will actually be moderated this time, and any blithering idiocy will be destroyed on sight.

Have a nice day!

Yep...as of approximately 3:00PM yesterday, I am wisdom-free.

The procedure itself was an absolute piece of cake, and I remember very little of it...though I think recovery might be a different story. 4 hours between pills is way too long.

On the bright side, though, I already seem to feel much better overall. One of the teeth was broken in half (owwies!), and the other three had cavities of varying severity, which were probably sending an assortment of lovely toxins into my bloodstream.

Anyone have any tips for a smooth, speedy recovery? I go back to work on Wednesday, and I can't really afford to call in sick...

There's really nothing to be afraid of, especially if you're sedated (not full anesthesia). I was a nervous wreck at first, but now that it's all said and done, I almost wouldn't mind doing it again. One minute you're awake, getting hooked up to an IV and laughing gas and whatnot, then the ceiling tiles start moving, and then...you wake up, it's over, and you feel pretty good.

I think sedation is a lot more expensive than local anesthetic, but I have pretty good insurance (I only paid ~$260 out of pocket for the whole procedure), and there's no way I could consciously deal with the sounds and sensations of tooth being ripped from bone.

The only pain I've really had is a dull ache in my jawbones, and a couple of tender spots where I vaguely remember a needle being inserted (though the hydrocodone takes care of all that nicely). It's not so bad as long as I keep my tongue away from there, but I can't resist fondling the empty holes I'll never have to worry about again.

Hmm...either the "Layer 3 Smash" sprite or the level number is changing colors 0D-0F (used by the small fish?) into darker browns. My money's on the former.

TIME TO INVESTIGATE!

A lot of older pre-built computers used really weak, cheap PSUs that just barely supported the crappy hardware packed inside, hence the high failure rates (just because a PSU can support 100W max doesn't mean you should run it at full capacity 24/7!). AFAIK, CompUSA still sells 150-watt eMachines PSUs...
