Iron Maiden - Piece of Mind
Iron Maiden - Brave New World

I bought these at the airport, because I just kind of came across them while waiting to board the airplane.. and eh, I'm not really sure why I bought them. It's not bad music, though.

I think I may have a higher tolerance to get hangovers than most people. Though, I have noticed a certain change in recent times. I still don't get a real headache or feeling of nausea, unless I have been drinking whisky and the likes, and lots of it. I just get "low on energy" in a way, and usually such days tend to be very unproductive.

First time I drank alcohol I only had three drinks, and didn't get drunk. Second time, I had three drinks and six beers (or more?), and got pretty drunk off that. But I still didn't feel to bad the next day. And I had lots of fun, even though I most likely made an ass out of myself. Oh well.

The only time I have been close to what can be called a real hangover would be at the christmas party arranged for the pub at which I work.

I started drinking five cans of beer, before the party itself. Then I had three more, along with various christmas foods. Then I had another one, and also started drinking whisky, various drinks (at this point I had decided to try everything on the menu..), and cognac. The amount of those was unknown, but counting up what little was left in my wallet, in total I probably had something like 22 units of alcohol in 7 hours. Didn't turn out to well.. (22/7 = approx. pi (3,14) units per hour. )

I slept for most of the following day, and when I didn't I had a slight feeling of nausea, but not to the point where I would throw up. I ate nothing the entire day.

Why was my birthday in my profile changed to November 29th, when it's November 30th?

[That was the stupid question of the day... ]

I didn't get any gifts today, on the 25th. I got them on the evening of the 24th instead, like you're supposed to.

But of course, only after visiting my brothers gravestone, watching Disney on tv and eating a good dinner with my family. Same procedure as every year...

And here's what I got:

A camera (I managed to lose the old one, because I'm a drunken fool)
Stuff for the bed (pillow coatings and such.)
Water proof pants
A pair of socks
500 NOK (I might use this to buy cd's, and a memory card for the camera)
Two t-shirts and some underwear
Candy
Donald Pocket (wee...)

Lunch is something I only have when I'm at school/working, and it's usually nothing special, so that one's out of the question.

On ordinary days, the breakfast is pretty boring as well, so dinner it is. It's the "big" meal of the day.

However, during christmas, I like all meals, because they're something out of the ordinary. There's so much good food to indulge in..

But my real answer is dinner.

It's alright, if the food is good. (And I have yet to go to a place that offers a buffet that doesn't have good food.)

We went out to eat at such a place that served mongolian food on my birthday. It was nice. All the food was raw at first. Then you picked whatever you wanted on your plate, and had them fry it for you. Then you added rice and whatever sauce(s) you wanted.

I only managed two plates, but both plates were pretty full.

I will be eating the traditional New Years Eve dinner (Pinnekjøtt) with my family and some friends, and then we'll watch the fireworks. We live in an apartment now, so we can't fire up our own. However, the location of said apartment gives us a very good view.

I noticed the deadline just now, and thought that I should try and toss in a few votes before it ran out, so I looked over the list and I .. just couldn't come up with anything.

First time I voted, it was easy to come up with names for the categories, but it's all different now.

So yeah, speaking of being a party pooper...

Gravmar and the Gravediggers - Penaltyfuckin' with a Cactus

On Myspace

It's a Norwegian punk/rock band from the Bergen area. I'm not sure what they're trying to do, if they're trying to be funny or what? Their song "Mensa" made smile, though, as well as the image with that cactus..

Oh well, I will go and see them in concert saturday next week. From what I have heard, they're supposedly something special to witness live. Whatever that means.

When I was home for christmas I went to a concert where a bunch of local bands played. The bands I liked the best would be Quiritatio (which I have seen in concert once before) and Sparrow. Anyway, the point is that at the concert I bought Quiritatio's Cd Forgive and Forget.

I also forget to mention that I bought Slayer's latest album, Christ Illusion before I bought the Iron Maiden albums. I bought the Slayer album when I was out shopping for Christmas presents.. and I just had to get something for myself while I was at it.

Haha, these are actually somewhat funny, in a strange kind of way. (Even though I can't immediately recognize the users in them.)

(Eh, and I actually tried drawing a Yoshi Dude holding a guitar, as a sign of appreciation, but it didn't turn out right. It was just a crappy sketch anyway, and I don't have a scanner. )

Uh, well, I tried deleting the stupid drunk post, but nothing happens. Isn't there supposed to be a pop-up window asking if I want to delete the post? And yes, I did uncheck the box for blocking pop-ups.

And no, I am not drinking tonight, I am staying home.

Eh, I must have spilled something on my cellphone. It simply does not start up. And when I connected it to the charger, it started making this crackling sound, so I quickly disconnected it again, but the sound continued for a good while afterwards. It certainly didn't sound good.

It was comparable to the sound of a geiger counter when it is near a radioactive source..

Yeah, I .. kind of figured that one out.

I have opened it and removed the battery and the SIM card, and I will leave it like that for a few days to dry up.

Of course I am hoping it will start working again, but it is most likely fucked.

Personally, I think that's bullshit. I think it varies more from person to person than between genders as a whole. Everything can be normal, when it comes to sex drive. (Well, within certain limits... but you get the idea.)

Though, I must say, I find it kind of odd that you have had sex, but not kissed. I'm kind of the opposite. I have kissed, not had sex. And I'm 21. I don't feel any rush about it either.

Posted on 01-17-07 05:33 PM, in SNOW Link
I live on the Norwegian west coast. There practically hasn't been any snow around here all winter. It has just been one long and wet autumn.. Seriously, it's been raining like crazy. It has been raining daily for 79 days now.

It's also been quite windy, every now and then, and combined with rain, I find it quite annoying.

However, having no, or little snow isn't that uncommon around here, simply because of the gulf stream. But I would still say that the weather has been acting up, given the extreme amounts of rain. Also, Bryggen (which probably is the most famous landmark of this town) has actually been flooded a few times, as a result of the ocean rising; some kind of "storm surge".

Also, when I went home for christmas, to Northern Norway, which is where I am from, there was snow on the ground, but on the same day it started raining, and then it was gone. After a few days, it started snowing again, and it sat on the ground for some days, but again, it started raining, and it eventually melted away. That's not particularly normal, usually there would atleast be enough snow to reach well above the ankles.. But that doesn't mean irregularities can occur, of course.

Heh, my internet connection disconnects itself after about one hour of being connected. And then the computer must be restarted to be able to connect again.

Also, my ISP is actually the university itself (through a VPN). So yeah, I haven't downloaded anything in a while.
