Comedy. Pure comedy.

Invest in a decent anti-virus, this only happens with shitty free ones (And McAfee, which should be free considering how shitty it is)
I probably will. Any suggestions, preferably other than Norton? (I've used it before and it made my soul weep)

I could submit my dramatic speed run of Smb2 where I played all 20 levels with no powerups or deaths and it'd get spit on because somebody did it 10 minutes faster by cheating.
Speedruns and Tool-Assisted Runs are two entirely different things. One is completing a game in the fastest time humanly possible, while the other removes human limits to create a theoretically "perfect" run. They're both good in their own ways

Good sites for "real", unassisted runs are Speed Demos Archive and Archive.org's speedruns archive

Yeah, I just tried to make the Ninji use the blue pallete instead of red, but it just makes it use GFX00, oddly enough. Any ideas on where I'm going wrong?

Earthbound has two debug menus - the japanese one, which seems to use the normal game's menu/gui stuff, and an English one, which is a seperate screen (which inexplicably uses a Kirby sprite for a cursor!)

It looks... not all that different from the original, actually.

It's best not to advertise your hack until you actually some screenshots of it in actual action, just so ya know

These hacks are, to be blunt, shit.

The hacks each suffer from what I like to call "Impossible Second Level syndrome". The syndrome consists of a level which is, for all intents and purposes, impossible. From the unavoidable Banzai Bill of Dangerous Mission's very first level to the horrors of the jumping puzzle in SM5, a cruel joke with no punchline, as you are greeted at the very end of the puzzle with not an exit, but a P-switch that does nothing.

As much as I hate to discourage hackers, never touch a computer ever again.

I eventually pased it, but the rest of the level was crap to the point where I kinda wished I hadn't.

I've decided to salvage the idea of a Pacman hack, because this one, aaaaaaaaah.
