Yeah, sounds like a disk error at that location.
For the wireless I would suggest uninstalling the driver and all the software that came with it an then finding the disk that came with it and reinstalling from scratch.

Actually from what I read Nintendo said it wasn't true. I don't know how it got in their magazine.

Read the update after the article

I saw the site for that fan movie, but after a while the site disappeared and nothing really came of it.

I think a Zelda movie has potential to very good. That potential though is what would make it very disappointing if it came out bad.

I don't know, it seems like over the last few years, movies have been getting a little better. Even the big budget special effects movies seem to be putting a little effort towards some kind of depth in their plot and characters. More of the bad movies these days seem to because of a failed premise, not just from lack of effort.
Look at horror movies now versus 5 years ago. They've went from pointless, "see how many people we can show being murdered in two horrors" to actual suspenseful thrillers, like the Saw movies.
Also, sequels are getting better. I don't think I've seen a sequel that came close to being as good as the original until a few years ago. Now there getting more common.
Of course, there are always exceptions, like Fantastic 4. That was just sad.

Posted on 04-07-06 03:57 AM, in US government to issue mark of the beast Link
The guy who owns the shop I work at is very religious, not religious enough to keep him from cursing at machines when they don't act right, but religious enough to print a bunch flyers from a religious website and hand them out to all his employees (well, by bunch I mean, like ten).
Anyway, appartently he doesn't have his computer set to add the URL of the page he's printing to the top of each sheet, so I'll have to give the basic gist. It was saying that in 2008 the government will start issuing national ID cards that, because you can't get a job or have a bank account without it, will be nessicary for all buying and selling, and therefor, its the mark of the beast.
I actually heard about this ID a while ago, but never really thought about it being a sign of the Apocalypse, more just a sign of a serious flaw in our law making process where one bill can effect multiple sections of US code.
There seems to be multiple flaws in this logic though, first of all, I'm pretty sure the mark is supposed to go on the hand or forehead, not in your wallet. Also, my understanding is that the Apocalypse is supposed to be a worldwide event, this is just a US law. Beside, the flyer was telling people to contact congressmen a not vote for people not interested in repealing the law, but if this really is the fulfillment of biblical prophecy, I don't this there's a whole lot we can do about it. I don't remember anywhere in Revelation where it says, "unless you contact your local representative".
But besides just the whole return of Jesus thing, how do you feel about the National ID card? Is it just another step toward totalitarianism, or just more clutter in your wallet?

Except he didn't betray Jesus to fulfill the prophecy of Isiah, he did it as an attempt to force Jesus's hand against the Romans.

According to the Bible homosexuality is a sin. It's mentioned in several places, including the New Testiment. But that has nothing to do with why people like Skyon get so riled up about it. He said it himself, he's discusted by it. Not God or Jesus. The Bible just makes a convenient excuse to hate.
Think about it, how many movies come out a year that involve, murder, stealing, and adultry? Is the religious right making a big fuss out of them?
The lists of rights and wrongs in the Bible aren't there as a guide so you know who to judge and look down on, they're there for you to follow in your life. Be concerned with yourself and let God handle the rest.
I also don't understand the logic, that if a movie or television show depict something against your religion its "discrimination". By that logic a bacon commercial descriminates against Judaism.

Let's see...

The Village got fairly good reviews. And I liked The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable. I guess with these movies the story was engrossing you don't see the ending coming, but once it comes you can think back through all the clues that were given. But the story with the Village was unoriginal and played out slow and boring, so the "surprise" ending was pretty obvious 20 minutes in.

Titanic is the perfect example of an overrated movie. Well reviewed, won a bunch of rewards, and made hundreds of millions of dollars. But it was a really bad movie. The acting was bad, the dialog was just stupid, and the plot was a generic harlequin romance, that happened to take place on a sinking ship. On top of that it was full of historical inaccuracies.

The GodFather Although this was a pretty good movie, it seems to be consistently rated as "The Best Movie of All-Time". But I can think of several movies that were better. Really about half of Scorsese's films are better. Actually, I think Coppola, is really overrated. With a good script he does well, but he also creates movies like "Jack", which ties "Bicentennial Man" as worst Robin Williams movie. Or "The Outsiders", although, to be fair, I didn't really like the book either.

Young Frankenstein I laughed maybe three or four times. The monster yelling "Putting on the ritz!" was one of those times, but it wasn't worth watching the rest of the movie for.

The Green Mile It seems like whenever I say I didn't like this movie, people look at me like I just beat a kitten to death with another kitten. I already read and watched "Of Mice and Men", a dumb "gentle giant" getting killed no longer makes me that sad. The whole movie was set up to force emotions down people's throats. They made sure to show the bad characters doing the worst possible things you could think of, without showing any redeming trait. And made all the good characters only good, in order to make you feel bad when they're burned alive or something. I'm just not a fan of movies with phony one-sided characters.

Kill Bill I would have liked these movies if they had stuck with just being a homage to classic kung fu movies. Rather then trying to be too serious and just coming off goofy. There was alot good cinematography though.

Walk the Line This is actually what made think of this thread, I heard such good things. It wasn't bad, but, it wasn't really that good either. The plot was basically the same as every single other celebrity biography movie. I'm not saying that's not how his life went, but if there wasn't anything about his life that set it apart, maybe he wasn't the best candidate for a biography movie. Maybe if I was a Johnny Cash fan. But if I was it wouldn't make lines like "I'm not going to be the little Dutch boy holding my finger in the dike anymore" any less stupid.

Also, Fantastic 4, was overrated, not that it got good reviews, but I don't think the reviews were bad enough. Somehow it manages 6 stars on IMDB, it should be in their Bottom 100, somewhere between "The Beast of Yucca Flats" and "Spice World".

Really, I think it should be made as easy as possible for Mexican immigrants to get jobs and pay taxes.
Instead of gathering around the Home Depot and doing under the table work, they should have the option of just getting real jobs and paying taxes like the rest of us.
The whole "they'll take our jobs" logic is silly. Why are we more entitled to work somewhere just because its on the same side of the border as we were born? When Mexicans come over and start making money, they'll be consumers like the rest of us, buying products right here in the US, which creates more jobs.
No, maybe they shouldn't have all the rights of citizens, but if they're paying taxes, they should have the right to send their children to the same schools. And once they've been here long enough, maybe a few years, they should have the option of citizenship.

Well, dolphins are intelligent, and strong enough to refuse or give consent, so no, I don't see anything wrong with it. But that doesn't make it any less gross.
The same goes for aliens, if its an intelligent being, capable of consent, then I don't see why it could be called wrong, but whether its gross or not kinda depends, I mean if that alien looks like this:

Well then, not so gross. However it looks more like this:

Well, that's slightly more gross.

I vaguely recall playing Hansel in Hansel and Gretel in 2nd grade. The class was broke up into groups to do different plays, but most of the plays didn't have alot of characters so most people ended up playing trees. Though, we really didn't need any more scenery since it was provided by translucent pictures on an overhead projector. I also remember my eyes hurt afterwards.
I also remember doing a some sort of musical play in 3rd grade where Santa went back in time and met talking dinosaurs....or something.
