It's warm here.

Seriously, it's supposed to be 70F tomorrow.

So yeah, no snow here.

FFT on PS2 or PS3. With a second story mode, too, that adds some stuff (that you could also have in the original, if you chose) like Blue Mages and... well, that's mostly what I want.

Alastor, I dunno about other browsers, but the actual text area in his layout seems to be about the same size as yours is to me, in lololol at 1024x768...

This better be good. If it's not, you're wasting my time at 3 AM, and I don't appreciate that...

I love the smell of unsupported accusations in the morning! You didn't expect this one to slip past us, did you? The thing about accusations is that without any supporting statements, evidence, or hell, names of the accused, they are worth nothing. If you weren't planning on mentioning names, that line should've been left out.

Two. No flaming, either. Assholes will be banned on sight.

What separates Bush Bashing from regular old flaming? *snip* Is it because he is not a member of this forum? Does that really justify flaming him?

Yes and, technically, yes. Last I checked there was no rule against insulting people that aren't registered here - if there was, I wouldn't be able to complain about dumbass customers in my title (which I haven't done lately, actually...).

Five. No being stupid.

This rule should be enforced a little more. If you truly want people to not act stupid, maybe it should be regulated a little more for those of us who aren't new to the forum or don't have a history of being stupid. If that can't be done, perhaps this should be elated on, rather than telling us what to do and what not to do, or what your definition of spam is. At least new users have an excuse to be stupid, but when people act stupid just to mock them, it shows their mentality. And for mods to be acting this way tells me alot about the capability of their leadership skills.

All but the last sentence: You have a point, to an extent. Problem is, I don't think "elated" is the word you're looking for (elate: tr.v. To make proud or joyful), so I have no clue what the fuck you're trying to say in that part of the paragraph. =/

Last sentence: "I love the smell of unsupported accusations in the morning! You didn't expect this one to slip past us, did you? The thing about accusations is that without any supporting statements, evidence, or hell, names of the accused, they are worth nothing. If you weren't planning on mentioning names, that line should've been left out." Look familiar? If you've been reading my whole post, it should.

Related to this topic is another comment you made.. yes, we all start out at least somewhat "noobish" to use your term. The problem - which this rule came from, AFAIK - comes from people who never change! Shyguy changed. Many of us used to think he was stupid, but unlike the people that get banned for stupidity, he improved.

Eight. Hacking a ROM and showing nothing but screenshots of a single level with nothing new is a good way to get a thread closed.

Is it really necessary to point this out? A hack is still a hack, and even the smallest achievement should be properly criticized. *snip* Just a bunch of short tempered, short minded reverse engineers?

In order...

Yes, obviously. Hell, I used to see hack threads without any screenshots at all. =/

Achievment? Did you miss the "single level with nothing new" part? For the most part, all screenshots from a single level can show would be the graphics changes - level design judgement requires more levels to be seen so you can see if they have one consistent problem (maybe it looks bland, has bad palettes, or too many difficult jumps early on). If one level looks bad, you don't have anything to compare to, you don't know if the whole hack will be like that or just a few levels. Same for if one level looks good. But with more screenshots, you can get a better feel for the overall quality of the level design.

But hey, I'm not a romhacker, so maybe I don't have a clue what the hell I'm talking about. =/

Although the last statement is accurate of a few people, it probably in no way stems from the problem addressed in Rule Eight that you quoted... there's plenty of other sources of that problem including the fact that some people are, quite simply, arrogant assholes. Even if rule eight never existed, an overwhelming majority of these same people would be arrogant assholes, I'm quite sure. Put in a less wordy manner, it isn't my fault that *insert arrogant asshole here* is an arrogant asshole, but you are essentially blaming the staff for it.

Edit 1: Minor rewording.

Uh... no, no it isn't. See the clear part in the middle? See how narrow the data area is? I don't think they make music CDs that small, Shyguy.

Additionally, the entire control area is obviously fake.

I'm closing it for pointlessness.

Well, as far as I know, you need the Sinker Lure (it can be found in the fishing pond itself), and you still don't have any guarantee of catching it. It was quite easy to catch, though, despite its weight.

I only got it once. =/

This is kinda funny.

Three SSB threads posted, reasonable amounts of activity in 'em all.

We decide that we don't need 'em all, and post a new sticky for all SSB-related matters.

It gets almost no activity.

The second I unsticky this (if I do, which I'm not going to), five SSB topics will pop up.

THANK YOU!!!

So my choices?

RELEVENT sidequest (I don't want to be given Excalibur for finding some kid's lost dog then talking to his future self, that just doesn't make sense. =/), hidden chest in final dungeon, or Other - Some sort of treasure hunting (like in FFIX, with the chocobo).

You know something?

When I first read this post (which I snipped to shrink this large-enough post), I thought perhaps it was intended as a parody of some rather common opinions, considering how exaggerated it seems.

The more I think about it, the more I think it's a parody of an actual debate (but in a different sense of the word parody). But, you're 14, most of us (myself probably included) were pretty irrational at that age. And I'm not calling you irrational because you disagree with my view, I'm calling you irrational because you're not only not providing any reasoning for it, you also seem to be rather zealous about adding unneeded restrictions (certain times of the day? wtf?) At least Sky's being reasonable about this.

If you couldn't already guess where I stood, I agree with Ziff/Plus SIgn entirely. Legalize it, slap some warnings on it like is done on cigarettes, regulate it, and tax it to make some money off it. It'd free up some room in prisons for criminals that are hurting other people instead of just themselves (I won't say 50% like someone else did, but it would free up some space for the people that are actually dangeous to others). It'd be taxed, so instead of having to spend money catching the people that sell it, they'd be getting money from the people that buy it. It'd be regulated, so the more dangerous drugs couldn't be slipped in, and there'd of course be a minimum age (I'm thinking alchohol's minimum age) so minors having it would still be illegal. It'd be legal, meaning that illegal drug dealers wouldn't have as much of a chance to profit off it. And much like there's laws against being drunk in public (at least, last I heard), I'd not have any objections to similar laws against being publicly high as long as they weren't needlessly strict.

Now, would I smoke it if it was legal? Fuck no. My memory's bad enough as it is, and I know the smoke would do something to my (already not-good) lungs. But I don't see any reason for it to be illegal.
