| Yeah, animated gif can be annoying. But the fact that they bother you more than others doesn't make you any smarter. Actually, the fact that you go on rants about only slightly annoying things shows that may be effected by some form of OCD. But more likely, I think you go on those rants because you feel it makes you look more intelligent than others.
Actually, reading through a few of your posts (well, just those on this thread and your layout rant), I get the impression that you actually believe you're smarter than most everyone else. | It seems people on both sides of this issue want to use completely arbitrary points as when life begins.
On the one side its when the baby is actually born, as if it wasn't alive 5 minutes before. I really can't understand why something that is almost universally considered wrong (cutting an infant's head open and sucking out its brains), can be ok, just because it's still in a woman's body. On the other hand it makes just a little sense to say a few hundred human cells are just as alive as you and me. Ending the pregnancy then is just as much murder as using a condom, or just practicing abstinence. By the third trimester, a fetus is a viable, conscious human being. Killing it then is no different than killing it outside of the mother. So it's the woman's body, and therefore her choice. Well, here's where I make people mad. She already made her choice. She made the choice, to have sex, and then she made the choice to carry the baby for 27 weeks. Now she has to take responsibilty for those choices. That may make me sound like a terrible person, but think about. How many times have you seen a man complain about paying child support and someone comes back with something like "Well, you should have kept it in your pants". If I went out and got some woman pregnant, that would be the only choice I would be allowed to make concerning the matter (actually my choice would just be to have sex with her, not getting her pregnant). Then I would spend the next 18 years working MY BODY twice as hard to make the same money. Why? Because I made a choice and now I have to take responsibility for it. I don't think its so much to ask that after making the choice to have sex, and carry a baby through 2 trimesters, to then take resposibility for that choice and bring the baby full term. |

| Ok, so you got a wifi adapter in both computers, and the modem is connected directly to yours, and your father connects directly to your computer wirelessly for the internet? With no router?
Anyway I think what happened between now and lunch was you restarting your computer. Make sure you still have the same IP, I think you need to be set to 192.168.100.1 to act as a DHCP server in Windows, I'm not sure though. Anyway, you should really look into getting a router, it seems like alot less hassle in the long run. |

| You ever watch a movie that everyone said was great? Maybe its a classic or it won an award, or the critics went on and on about how great it is. And it wasn't good at all?
The most annoying part about movies like this is that if you try to give your opinion on them, people tell you you didn't get it, and act like you're some kind of idiot for not liking something everyone else did. Although, admittedly there are times when people actually don't get a great movie that they're bashing. Many times, though, it seems like everyone only says a movie is great because they don't want to come off as the idiot who didn't get it (kind of an "Emperor's New Clothes" type of thing). So what are some movie you don't think deserve to be called great, but are anyway? |
