Uh, yeah, pretty much what he said.

I'm not anti-smoking though. It's their choice, and if someone is smoking now, chances are they know the risks, so I'm not gonna bother wasting my time worrying about it. But I'm not going to waste my money, either - I have no intent of every smoking or drinking. Boring as that may be, I prefer not fucking with my lungs any further and remembering what the hell I did the previous night... or, at least, having a better chance of remembering. =/

Hmm...

Some of the instrument choices seem a little off. I know you're not going for a direct clone of the original, but some of them just don't seem to sound right. Beyond that, I hear no problems.

I do like most of the instrument choices, I think it's just a few of the wind instruments (can't tell what instruments they are, though) that seem a little off.

I'm probably the only one, but I'd like to see you do Ship Hold at some point. Partially because I actually liked that music in the original (though not as much as Lava, Enchanted Wood, Brambles, and Swamp), and partially because I could use a new BGM for the Sunken Ship area in RO.

Ambidextrous, but I can't coordinate both hands at once very well (working on that, though). About the only thing I simply can't do well left-handed is write, but my handwriting is horrible no matter which hand I use. =/

I'd prefer Super Metroid too, but going with the old style could make creating new things easier since everything's a bit simpler.

As someone said in the thread you linked to, I think that it'd be best to only have humanoids selectable. I can't imagine a Geemer using any sort of weapon... or being dangerous at all, for that matter.

I use a Saitek of some sort for SNES, not sure of the specific type. It has six face buttons arranged in the N64 layout, two shoulder buttons, two analog sticks, and a d-pad. I use the top two face buttons (C-Up and C-Right as they'd be on an N64) as Select and Start, and the rest is obvious.
