My mother says that when she does go grocery shopping this week she will get Kingdom Hearts II.

...and it won't be tomorrow...
I have been waiting for this game for so long now, and now that it is out I can't get it as soon as possible. Yet my sister automatically gets Harry Potter whenever a new DVD comes out the day of the release. Makes me so mad...

So, for those of you that have played it, how is it thus far?

GTA: VC, to me, is the best GTA ever. III didn't have much to do when free-roaming, SA is way too stereotypical and sim-like, and the first one was fun for a bit then just got old fast...

For crappy games, Madden goes up there. When the game repeats itself every year, it loses its flavor and originality. Better graphics, but no improvement to the game. Yet it still is hailed as a god at my school... with the first thing mentioned when people talk about the game: graphics.

Also, Robot Arena. The very first one. With very limited building schematics and flat arenas with no traps and no pits, the battles lead to one robot stopping another robot in its tracks and just beating the hell out of it. It is not like the show Robot Wars at all. It didn't even have four player matches...
Yet I somehow enjoyed it once...

I haven't really played many other crappy games since... well, I just don't buy them...

Only complaint about that tileset is the fact that some of the tiles have black outlines while others have black. There is probably a specific reason for it, right?
Also the slanted wood tiles are messed up slightly in the jointed areas..

"You counter with an identical move? So clever." The sarcastic comment lead to Mewquas grabbing the boomerang with his remaining legs and having them retract to repair the damage. Mewquas had a problem to deal with though, which was to dodge the boomerangs. He turned his head around hoping that Marty was there, but he was not. He returned his view towards the attacker along with the projectiles heading in his direction. He lowered his eyebrows and gritted his teeth. Pulling his sword from the ground, Mewquas ran towards the boomerangs. One thing he learned was that running away from an attack would make it harder to dodge.

Boomerang one was simple to dodge as he threw his sword slightly forwards and jumped on it, using it as a sled to slide underneath it.

Then is when the problem was going to come up. He stood on the sword and kicked it up, grasping the bottom of the sword as it passed his face. He immediately held it in front of him at a fortyfive degree angle to deflect the second weapon up in the air. The third boomerang, though, was mere inches in front of him. Quickly shifting to the right, he managed only a tear in his shirt. Obviously, the boomerangs would return as planned, so he ran forward towards Spider and slashed down, possibly damaging his opponent.

------

Marty entered the other side of the arena followed by Alzo. Marty saw Mewquas barely make it past the metal boomerangs and watched as the weapons began to spin around back towards the unknown foe. Marty watched and surveyed to see what Mewquas would do in this kind of situation. Research, as what Marty's programming told him to do, thanks to Mewquas's new upgrades...

Alzo: "So, that's him, eh? Why don't you help him?"
Marty: "Not until he recognizes me."

Now providing "free software" is considered "hacking" to Oklahoma? Hmmm... right...

It could have been resolved a lot quicker if the initial

That was just a stupid comment to begin with. In the second e-mail he recieved, it told him EXACTLY what to do and he still didn't follow it.

The degenatron gaming system plays three exciting games including Defender of the Faith where you save the green dots with your fantastic flying red square, Monkey's Paradise where you swing from green dot to green dot with your red square monkey, and Penatrator where you smash the green dots deep inside the mysterious red square.

Barnaos shifted attention from the technological paradise to the new foe. His arsenal was not well prepared for a war of this magnitude, but he was sure to improvise with what he found.

He had three grenades and a pistol, silenced. He also had a machine gun.

This situation called for his grenades.

Pulling one up from his satchel, he grabbed it and threw it at the foe without pulling the pin. As the grenade closed in on the mage, he drew out his pistol and shot forward. The bullet rammed into the grenade and caused it to explode on contact. A new innovation to the empire. Only with proper training could one shoot the specialty grenades with enough accuracy to unleash hell upon a soldier or Barnaos, but a soldier of the empire could easily destroy foes with this foolish trick.

Quickly surveying the scene around him, he grabbed a grenade from the dead soldier that tried to help him and added it to his arsenal while obtaining the downed machine gun and unleashing all rounds at the explosion area, hoping to have killed the mage.

Even the ongoing chaos around him didn't phase him in his task.

Best time ever was when my ex-friend had to switch phones. Right next to his other phone, he had to hang up the other phone first (since it was a different phone line and I only have on phone line). He said he would call right away.

Hangs up. I hang up. A second later the phone rings with a telemarketer on the other end. She tried to see if my mom was home. I said no. She asked when she was going to be home. I said never and hung up.

THAT was hilarious.

Eh, after watching that ABC special that my history teacher brought in, it doesn't shock me that some guy from India tried to sell you something...

Maybe the reason behind this comic is to show that Alastor/Kyouji/Professor Logic is taking requests?

I have only made it to the cemetary without finding all the secret exits, but I did find some problems with the hack.

1. Once you get the cape, some of the levels are easily bypassed using it alone. Although the branching levels aren't so easily avoided, the one-way levels (levels without a secret exit) are too easy with this method (especially the line-guided level, which I played back again to make sure there weren't problems).
2. Why does the fishing ghost's line consist of the fireballs instead of a fishing line? I was afraid to jump between the ghost and the fire because of the glitch (unless that was what it was supposed to be like...).
3. In Mysterious Castle 4 before the midway, you have to press the "On" switch to raise the water. Above the switch though are two boned fishes out of water. Looks weird...
4. After the midway point in Mysterious Castle 4 and if the player still has the cape, the whole second half of the castle is just going to the right and using the cape.
5. I forget what level (I believe one of the cemetary ones, but I am not sure) there is a time when there are too many ghosts on the screen and one of the ghosts disappears. I am not sure which level, but it was a ghost themed one (obviously).

Still, I liked the "boss fights" you had in the game. The coolest one so far was the underwater fight with the Big Boo.
Keep working on it. It is turning out good.

Kyouji has... well, Little Fighter 2... and... umm... a lower post count?

So far, until I get weapons and skills up here, I won't vote. Still, if one of them wins, wouldn't both end up losing their lives?

Another one to add that happened today.

I was playing Soul Calibur III again. Playing the 6th mission on CotS mode and was fighting a level 6 enemy with a level 40 character. He wooped me. I got mad and was about to hit my controller against my leg (punishing me for punishing my controller...) when I looked at the analog stick and saw that it was out of socket. Went to tell my mom and dad about needing a new controller and my dad said he could fix it.

Went into my room after he was done with it and I was happy. It was working fine again.

Problem is that the R2 and the L2 buttons don't work anymore because of the was the controller is. Found this out when my sister wanted to play KH for the first time and couldn't change the camera angles. Spent about thirty minutes tring to make the flimsy detector inside the controller fit underneath the actual button. It is near impossible.

Now that I am getting Kingdom Hearts II tomorrow, I am saddened. I have a busted controller and might not get a new controller tomorrow...

Got the game Friday night and beat it Monday Night at a little under 30 hours. I must say that after completing it and going to complete sidequests, I am disappointed. I don't see any optional bosses other than Sephiroth and collecting items for synthesis is quite easy with my stats. So... there really is nothing to do other than start a new game (good thing for skip scene during cinematics, though...).

...the game was a bit too easy, however. The hardest boss in the game?

Spoiler:
Xigbar. That damn gun move which he is invincible and nearly kills me... gah!

The thing that made this game too easy was the information bar at the top left of the screen. Without that the game would have been harder. Alongside the reaction commands, which made me just press triangle as many times as possible during a fight to randomly do a reaction command. If they made it to where you could only press triangle at a set time only, then it would have worked better.

Still, it is a good game. The Gummi ship sequences are more fun, and the worlds were nice other than them being way too linear...

Also, the limit move with Tron = winner.

Now to try Proud mode. Maybe it will be harder than standard...

I like the Broken Highway. It is just awesome, especially when you are on Mission 3, which is hard. Having that one Heartless charge at you with other Heartless coming around you from all other angles. Ah, the tragedy!

Somehow with the new Gummi Ship building system I think I am going to make an Arwing Gummi Ship. It shouldn't be too hard, right?
If it came out right, it would be awesome to use.

...I still have to complete the journal and the Gummi Ship missions, as well as beat Sephiroth. So far, obtained the Tonberry ship. It... wasn't really great...
