I guess I've never really been into winter sports. That's probably because I hate the cold. I guess I picked the wrong state to grow up in.

I see everyone's got cat related words added to their names. What determines what words are added? Or is it just at random? (edited by emcee-cat on 03-07-06 05:04 AM) |

Microwave? I don't have that kind of time. To me the perfect meal is a bowl of cereal.

Oh, that reminds me, I used to watch the Adventures of Tintin on Nick all the time, I remember one episode, a guy got gunned down in a drive by. That show was great.

Well, O'Reilly isn't really a reporter, he's a "pundit". I wouldn't really expect him to be "fair an balanced". He takes the news stories, interviews people about those stories and gives his opinions on them. It just that he clearly doesn't think those opinions all the way through, and therefor comes off as a jackass.

I don't think it would spred as fast a some people are saying. The virus would travel from coughs and sneezes, meaning symptoms would have to be present before its contagious. So once an outbreak is identified, travel would be restricted to that area. If an outbreak occurs in a developed country, victims could be quarantined in a sanitary hospital. those who do become infected in developed countries would be less likely to die because they likely started out fairly healthy. Unlike developing nations, where much of the population is already weakened by famine and other diseases (most specifically AIDS). On top of that, outside of maybe a few big cities, there is almost no clean hospitals to quarantine patients. I'm not saying the First World would be unaffected by the Bird Flu, if it were to mutate, just compared to its effect on the Third World, it would be minor. The flu already kills like 40 thousand people a year in the US, so maybe during a pandemic year it might be more like a quarter million. Alot, but "minor" when compared to the likely tens of millions in the Third World.

I think this line of code:
$s = rand(0, count($suffixes) - 1); Shows how it was determined. |

So although the disease may technically be contagious before symptoms exist, the likeliness of it being transmitted wouldn't be that great until you actually start sneezing and coughing. |

However, if ever I "got curious", I wouldn't even know where to begin, because I wouldn't even know who I'm "supposed" to be attracted to, I'd end up trying to find a guy that looked most like a woman. |

I built a MythTV, but it doesn't have any type of HDTV tuner, so I'm not not really effected by this, atleast for now. Anyway if you're thinking about building one, I say build it anyway. Even if future HDTV tuners require DRM, its not like they're going to go around confiscating all the old ones. Even they did, in the meantime yo'll have a PVR, which is great. It's like having your own network that only plays shows you want to watch. This is my network's line-up:
Family Guy Simpsons Whose Line is it Anyway? Quantum Leap Daily Show Colbert Report Simpsons Family Guy NOVA Simpsons Whose Line is it Anyway? etc...etc...It's great. |

I think the title of this forum sometimes confuses people, this is really just for help with the board itself. I think you want either the rom hacking or general emulation forum. Althogh if I were to make a guess I'd said that you're problem is the ROM version you're using.

Actually I think this has been done. I remember seeing something like this months ago, it was $1500 and ran on a Transmeta chip.

Looks like he put quite a bit of effect into that post to me. Look at all those exclamation points. Just one or two, that wouldn't be much effort, but he put seventeen.
Happy birthday starman. If I had a computer when I was twelve and access to the internet, and posted on message boards, my post probably would have looked basically the same. |

Ok, let's see, we've covered the media, international policy, the Bush Administration, and terrorism, so that only really leaves religious debate, which works out ok, because technically it is God's fault. (edited by emcee on 03-11-06 07:00 AM) |
