We use something called Blackboard here, and it sure sucks a whole bunch...

Instead of using Blackboard, all my Computer Science teachers set up their own websites and such to take care of class stuff.... In most cases it works a whole lot better than the stupid Blackboard package.

Talk to the girl in person... when you have a chance, even if a short one.

Or better yet, why would you want to have a second copy of WinXP?

I would recommend google... I know there are some good sites with some decent tutorials but I can't really list them off the top of my head.

I beg to differ... number 1, not even windows is very standardized... and they don't follow other standards so that makes it even worse.

And as for being an everyman's OS... I wholeheartedly disagree...

My Grandparents just got a computer a few months ago, at first we installed windows... after numerous problems, and difficulties learning how to do stuff... my cousin and I told them we're going to try something new, and installed Ubuntu on their pc, and thus far, the questions have gone down... I'm trying to talk other members of my family into the same thing, and after trying the LiveCD for a while 1/2 of them decided they wanted to try to switch over while the other half decided (after reviewing their options for a while) that they'll stick with Windows for a while.

And I'll say this, my family is no where near being computer people, my cousin and I are probably the only ones that have any interests in computing.

And if Linux sucked so much... then why does Google run it.

Googles Servers Specs

Sometimes I have the urge to get up and slap my professor, because he's an idiot... and I seriously contemplate doing it, is that the same thing.

Sometimes I have the urge to pull out when I ejaculate, and shoot it all over my girlfriends face... is that the same thing.

Sometimes I have the urge to randomly punch people in the face, and take off running... is that the same....

I think everybody has fucked up urges sometimes, it's whether or not you can control these urges that makes you sane or insane.

Well... if you're computer is out of space, then what makes you think you will be able to install a Visual Basic type program...

???

I don't know how good of advice that is... I find if I spend a large amount of time on one thing I get bored with it up to the point that I don't care about so I have to have a wide variety of things to do, and to keep rotating through.

My ATI Radeon Xpress 200 doesn't have 3D support with the open-source ATI Drivers, and ATI's driver sucks and doesn't support AIGLX, forcing me to use XGL if I want to run Beryl... which isn't desirable by me.

My laptop was a different story, but it was a little slow considering my laptop is a little older and Beryl runs a little slow... therefore... I uninstalled it..

And as for getting Beryl installed, search the Ubuntu forums or Beryl-Projects wiki for installing Beryl with your specific graphics card.

Plus, I think ubuntu is the shit.

And I think linux is gonna start being big since they're offering free driver development to device manufacturer's if provided with product specs...

That means, more support for more devices, which calls for linux=win.

I started off my linux ventures with SUSE and Fedora, I ran SUSE for a long time and then my cousin showed me Ubuntu... at first I wasn't the biggest fan, but after a while a grew very fond of the package management, and I could never go back to SUSE or Fedora, or any other distro of choice.
