I know not many things I've drawn have ever been what you might call "anywhere close to good", but I always felt I could do better with small sprites than with large images. I never really got around to trying until today when I needed something to do without an Internet connection at work. (Designing web sites is hard when you can't contact the server. ) So I drew some sprites. Specifically, Mario and 4 variations of a ? box.

Personally I think the Mario sucks but I'd like to hear your opinions. For the ? boxes I made a square and a round version, and then variations of both with deeper shading to make them look 3D. I like how the deeper square one looks but the question mark seems a bit crowded by the shading, while the flatter one doesn't have this problem. Also, notice the question marks themselves are shaded to look like they're cut into the box. It might be a bit hard to see with the colours I used though.

If you actually like these, feel free to use them.

You can easily edit the textures using the ROM extender (or an MIO0 de/compressor) and Tile Molester, and you could edit the polygons with a hex editor (have fun ), but these things don't involve TT64. Anything can be edited, just not necessarily with TT64.

I've removed cihps like that before, all I did was sparpen my soldering iron's tip with sandpaper, and gently heat and lift the pins of the PCB, one by one.

Might be worth a try, but I have pretty shaky hands. Plus I'd have to put it back in. Also, the pins don't poke through the other side of the board; they're stuck to the board itself. What's the proper way to remove those? I've never managed to.

Maybe this is just the perversion talking (I came up with this late at night), but I think it'd be kinda amusing to make a hack of something like Super Mario World, where you play as a naked person, but abuse camera angles and object placements so that you never actually see anything "naughty". Like those several scenes in Austin Powers. Of course, I can't draw to save my life, so...

Many keyboards don't let you do that. The patch doesn't work with 1.63, that's why you keep a patched copy of 1.62.

Yes, it seems like a good idea not to waste police resources on petty theft, but certainly this is going to attract a lot of thieves.

Yeah, I had to disable that grouping thing because otherwise I'd end up with 6 of the same window open.

Seriously though, I have 17 quick launch icons, 8 tray icons, 2 toolbars, the clock with date, and still enough room for probably 30 windows.

Umm... 2 toolbars? What do you mean by that? Did you just bring your toolbar width by 1?

Look here - see the "Desktop" and "Ideas and shit" arrows? Those are toolbars; clicking on them brings up a list of files in various places for quick access. It's awesome combining the Desktop toolbar with custom desktop icons - I can do just about any task from the Desktop toolbar.
