Yes, it's unusual that something like this hits mainstream media; but it's good that they're taking it seriously.

This has been all over the usual geek media for days -- Slashdot and Ars have both run stories, and it's all over Google News.

I'd consider telling my boss about it, but then she'll send out a warning to all users which will freak them out for no real good reason and they'll call us.

(Note: I consider unnecessarily panicking a bunch of computer illiterates for something they can't fix to be "no good reason")

Hmm... actually I do want to do some things with that blockquote. I will make a (very marginally) darker border for it, and add some padding values to the CSS.

Nah, I quite definitely don't want it to have borders on all sides. Not sure why, but it is how I want it to be.

I know how to fix the whitespace thing though! Just quote everybody and ramble on and on and on and on (and on and on and on and on) till I fill up all the whitespace with stuff

Course, it's not always easy to know what to do either, y'know

Like the situation with me and the guy that I like / don't like / want to be friends with / want to sex a whole lot / etc. It'd be a lot easier on me if he didn't fucken flirt with me so much. Like the sudden taking off of clothes and whatnot!! It messes with my little head Not to mention it makes me think pervy things.

Course, there isn't magic way of winning somebody over or knowing for sure if somebody likes you or whatever, so it's not much help posting about it on the internet.

But I gotta admit, sometimes it's nice to just vent

Yes... I think I found both of those had slightly darker perspectives than the anime series.

Fruits Basket is another good series to read the manga of. The anime is overall quite cutesy; but the manga shows the darker side of the Juunishi's curse and delves more seriously into the emotions of the characters.

I think lately I've been enjoying manga though a hell of a lot more than anime.

Everybody wears masks. In fact, people wear different masks at different occasions.

It sounds to me though that you are trying to wear a mask all the time, for all occasions. That's the same as bottling things up. And that's not good. Eventually things get to a point with that where you can't bottle it all up anymore.

If you are having trouble with things, you need to tell a friend or somebody you know will support you. You don't have to burden them with everything, but you can't just pretend that everything is fine all the time either.

I'm not sure, but I think Windows Media Player has settings linked into Internet Explorer. I've had some moderate luck with lowering security settings in IE when I've needed to download codecs for files in WMP before -- give that a go.

Just remember to set your Internet Explorer Security Settings back afterwards !

I have a sore throat (again). I don't know, but I think it's my damned tonsilitis coming back.

I don't want to go to the doctor and get put on antibiotics again. I've only just come off the antibiotics and they make me feel even crappier. Is there anything that might help me feel better?

I've tried:
  • alcohol


Any further suggestions would be appreciated
