You are right in the sense that, yes, the rules are broken, even by staff. Fuck, I've insulted people, and with what I think of as good judgement. Think eradicating the jews is an okay concept? Fuck you! Flaming and any derivatives thereof can not, and should not, be eradicated from an internet board. Conflict keeps people from getting lazy, and when you eradicate that conflict, what do you get?

You get shitty sprite comics and legions of anime-type drawings. No criticism makes them think they're good. Fuck you, DeviantArt.

You get Troublesome, assinine posters.

You get fascism. Think Himler took his seat of power by force? Fuck no, Germany was desperate for a leader with a solution, and he was there with his own answers. (And Godwin's Law be damned, this is a fine example)

I know it's taught as an elementary principle to not argue, but a resisting force is needed to keep people in line and keep them in shape. And to get rid of it is just damn stupid.

You also seem to forget that this is, once again, lol internet. One person being condescending to another (or vice versa) doesn't really matter here. It's not like I said my previous statement to you to your face, then proceeded to kick you in the balls 'til you fell to the ground, then stomped your face in. The internet is a system of anonimity where, to have your place in it, you need to assert yourself and, to be better, you need to be asserted. Sort of like, what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger, except in this case, whatever doesn't make you scream at your computer monitor and cry while cutting your wrist to Linkin Park, makes you less of a dramatic person.

You want criticisms? Fine.

1) Your grammar is atrocious. That's possessive. You're no good at making sprite comics. That's a contraction of "you are", and is used to describe people to themselves. A little suggestion for you, please pay attention in school. Being on the internet does not grant you the right to type like a second grader.

2) Recolors and stealing sprites. Two major offenses in spriting, and you nailed them in one comic. Good going. Also, I would like to compliment you on your ability to cover your ass by saying "well i havnt made the creditz yet lol". You don't make an end credit thing, you credit as you go along, not to mention asking permission to use other people's custom sprites.

3) Why the hell are the comics so god damn huge? Not only is this going to bog down people that are still in the land of dial-up, but you're breaking the h-scroll for people viewing the page in 1024x768.

4) What the hell is with the plot?

Guy 1: "Lets fight"
Guy 2: "hokay "
*fight ensues*
Guy 1: "i died okay lets fight together"
*teleport*
Guy 2: "were now randomly in the outskirts of my homeland, which is known by most of our readers as a background to The Power Battles"
Guy 1: "wha-"
enemy: "lets fight kekekekeke"


NO. Not now, not ever. This is one of the most contrived plots I've ever seen. You're ripping the pages out of a DBZ script nearly verbatim.



My final advice, stop this endeavor. Go practice making your own sprites, and find someone that can write a story that's worth something. This isn't worth anything at all.

If it REALLY is both, why is it that some forums with same or similar features don't have the same problems??

I would argue that the problem is far more a social problem than a technological one at least. I think that the technology is scapegoated a lot... and it's a lot easier to change the technology than it is to change things like a social culture.

One, what applies here may not apply elsewhere. Sure, other places, may have postcounts, but this place attracts idiots. The postcounts merely amplify them.

Also, I would love nothing more than to purge this place of the bottom of the gene pool. Change the social setting? Sure. I'd love to.

Just get back a shitload of the original posters circa '01, and alienate everyone that came here '05 and up. That should knock out the losers, and keep at least those that we like. It's fucking hard to change a social setting, especially when you have a group of people that can't take criticisms, harsh or soft as they may be, and if you reprimand them for doing something, go batshit on you. That, or they're fucking asskissers.

I say the cool kids go make their own board, and the people that aren't dumb stay here. That okay?
