Outback Bowl, Jan. 1st
Tennessee vs. Penn State
Tennessee... obvious reasons...

Cotton Bowl, Jan. 1st
Auburn vs. Nebraska
Nebraska... even though I hate them, I think they pull this out after the debacle of a Big XII championship game.

Gator Bowl, Jan. 1st
West Virginia vs. Georgia Tech
Georgia Tech, Big.

Capital One Bowl, Jan. 1st
Arkansas vs. Wisconsin
Sorry, have to take Arkansas.

Rose Bowl, Jan. 1st
USC vs. Michigan
I think USC wins, because Michigan will be more worried about how they should of been in the championship game rather then winning.

Fiesta Bowl, Jan. 1st
Boise State vs. Oklahoma
Oklahoma, Big.

Orange Bowl, Jan. 2nd
Louisville vs. Wake Forest
I think Louisville will run away with it early and Wake won't have a chance to come back.

Sugar Bowl, Jan. 3rd
Notre Dame vs. LSU
Notre Dame, because I'm catholic, and because I'd really don't know shit about either team.

BCS Championship, Jan. 8th
Florida vs. Ohio State
Ohio State, Big.

I'm pretty sure most colleges don't count your AP courses toward you GPA, they just give you the credit hours for them. As far as I know anyway.

And as far as where you go to school... a lot of place will look at where you graduated from when considering you for a job.

I haven't really done any game programming at all in my life... save for some in qbasic, but I would guess it would go something like this... set up a 2D array of with an implementing a Cartesian (xy) plane. Something like array[x][y]

And then if the coordinates of any part of one object match the coordinates of another object... bam collision.

I mean, that's just my logical approach, but that's how I would approach it.

I'm a believer in that happiness is truly never obtainable, and you just have to live with what you got in life. Or be happy with what you have and if you get more or better, then you become happier. Reason being... if you search for happiness, and think things will make you happy, then all you're doing is getting what you think will make you happy, ride that high for a bit, and then back to being unhappy, therefore even if you get everything you want, you'll always want more to be happy, I guess it's more of a capitalistic happiness...

Posted on 01-18-07 02:29 AM, in House passed minimum wage increase (to $7.25) Link
Quite frankly, I'm pretty pissed off... why... my reasoning.

Minimum wage was 5.15 in the good ole' state of Nebraska. Although, in bigger cities, most places paid around 7.50 an hour starting. Why? It's called competitive wages... Burger King needs to draw people from McDonald's by having a higher starting wage or the other way around. Minimum wage goes up to 7.25, they'll want to keep being competitive and start offering higher wages to starting employees... Does current employees wages go up, most likely not. Therefore me being stuck at 8.00 an hour means I will be stuck there most likely while the new shmucks will most likely start off at a higher wage.

Granted... there are no new shmucks coming here most likely, and if they do they'll be under me once I get promoted from HTML coder to Programmer.

I need to find a trustworthy company that makes non-crappy DVD-drives, DVD+RW drives, for my G3 dual USB ibook.

I figured someone on here would point me to a decent hardware maker.

The minimum wage does not just benefit the people at the baseline, it benefits everyone from the previous amount right up to the new $7 odd. If you're in the case that you've had a few rises anyway, your employer will probably review your situation again, as they've demonstrated that they thought it was neccessary in the past.

The minimum wage is there to protect the poorest from exploitation, not to protect the middle or upper class.

Believe it or not, they offer some decent starting wages for a fast food restaurant, at least in larger cities... I saw one that was hiring part-time employees starting at 8.25 an hour.

Posted on 01-20-07 05:23 PM, in Final Fantasy: Is it really that good? Link
My favorite Final Fantasies were 2, 6, 7, and 8, with 9 right up there.

And out of all of those, 8 was probably the most bitchin' one. I think the story was the best the series had to offer, and the music was amazing. I still get chills when I here the "Vinos, Lusec" music.

As far as RPG's go, Final Fantasy pale in comparison to my favorite, Lunar: Silver Star Story and Eternal Blue. Those games were pure gold... especially Silver Star Story.

It looks like a circular reference to me...using a float to create a system for creating floats. Yeah, and 1=2.

1.01

Can be translated to:

1x2^1 + 0x2^-1 + 1x2^-2

1 + 0 + 1/4

1 1/4

1.25

Makes perfect sense to me.

12:00 AM - 12:50 -- English 101 / Comp 1, whatever. I've heard some bad things about this class, but when our teacher said "Yeah, all essay's will be about a page to a page and a half long" I almost fell out of my chair. That just seems ... pathetic? Sounds really easy, then again maybe she's a tough grader or something.

Tue, Thur:
6:00 PM - 8:45 -- Character Animation (we use Maya). I'll probably drop this ... think I finally decided Game Design isn't completely for me. I took Game Design / Level Design for two years in High School, but yeah. I just don't have the drawing skills and patience for this to be a career for myself.

Where you goin to school Xeo???

I'd favor a University, but I'm having to pay for 90% of college myself right now. I just figured I'd go to JCCC for 2 years or so and get all the basics out of the way, then head to a University (possibly KU) or tech school of some kind.

I'm looking at KU for grad school when it comes to be that time...

I'm getting my tuition payed for at UNL because my parents are poor and we qualified for grants and stuff, did you do the FAFSA??? I'm sure you could get some good money there.

In the cheating department, I'm a 1 strike your out type of guy.

And as far as interpreting dreams... they're dreams, random images fired off while you sleep by you brain. They have no significant meaning to your life.
