Care to elaborate?

To me the most naive statements I've seen, atleast about smoking, is this "it's okay in moderation" business.

Maybe, but I didn't say that, or anything in normal English meaning that.

I have to diagree, because I have seen "light" to "moderate" smokers with very few negative effects.

And how long have they been "light" to "moderate" smokers? I'm sure you know this, but nicotine is very addictive. Think of all the old 50 to 80 year olds you know who have been smoking most of their life. Are any of them "light" to "moderate" smokers. Of all the people I know who smoke, or have smoked, the vast majority of them started out as "casual" smokers, smoking 2 or 3 a day to relieve stress or with friends. Now, they either quit, or they're just regular pack-a-day smokers.

No, inciteful is way too broad. Yes, Holocaust denial can be considered inciteful (as opposed to insightful). But, anyone speaking out against something and be construed as incitement. And really, to me atleast, when someone's speaking out against something, that's when freedom of speech is most important.
Take the civil rights movement. The civil rights leaders weren't advocating violence, but just bringing attention to the problem of racial inequality was enough to bring racial tensions in the US to the point of riots.
And, yes, "that's different". The civil rights leaders of the 50s and 60s were right, David Irving isn't. Well, hindsight's 20/20. Alot of people thought Martin Luther King was wrong. And besides that, this isn't just about Irving. I don't feel the least bit bad that David Irving is going to prison, he's a racist antisemite. And it's my understanding that Eastern Europe doesn't put as much importance on freedom of expression as they do farther west. But even for Austria, I feel they are setting a dangerous presidence by crimalising speech that's not in itself inciteful. Saying "The Holocaust didn't happen" is clearly not the same as saying "The Holocaust didn't happen, so kill some Jews", the listener must make that connection on their own.
It's not too hard to make the connection between Holocaust denial and violent antisemitism. But what about cases a little more in the "gray area". What about "The Passion of the Christ"? To some, its just a expression of Christian faith, meant to remind people of the sacrifice their savior made for them. For others, its meant to accuse Jews of deicide, and stir up anger towards Jews. So should Austria ban this movie? If it was made there, would Mel Gibson go to prison? But I've seen the movie, and there are basically two types of scenes: long, drawn-out beating scenes (adapted from one or two sentences in the Bible) where Roman authorities are the main antagonist, and scene that are literally word for word adaptations of the Gospels, and these are the scene people take issue with. As a matter of fact one line was removed from one of these scene because it was so contriversial, even though it was taken right from the Gospels. So should Austria ban the New Testament?

Wow, your post is the longest acronym I've ever seen.

What type of hard drive are you trying to install? You may be able to get a controller card to connect it rather than a whole new motherboard.

Héctor Ruiz CEO of AMD is probably my favorite guy in the industry right now. AMD seems to be the last true innovator in the computer industry, all the other companies seemed to have turned into marketing firms.

I guess it depends.. but seeing what I've seen... I'll take my chances with the one or two cigarettes I have a day.

And it doesn't matter.. death is going to get you in the end. Be it from smoking, obesity, a freak accident, or bad genes. Dying isn't the worst thing that can happen to you.

Well, I don't know the exact situation reguarding your grandmother, but smoking is very bad for the heart. I'm not saying that's what killed her, probably just being 96 was enough, but I'm sure it didn't really help either.
It's good that your grandpa's been able to stay at 2 or 3 cigarettes a day, but he's probably the exception rather than the rule.
But, no, I'm not trying to be a public service announcement or anything, but there's no point deluding yourself, if you don't want to become a regular smoker, your best bet is to quit now while your still a casual smoker, but if you don't want to, don't.
And the reason I don't smoke actually has nothing to do with health. I figure my poor diet combined with my caffiene addiction will do me in long before smoking would. It just seems like a huge waste of money, and I'd hate to turn into another regular source of income for some tobacco company. Atleast coffee's cheap.
Also it'd be a shame for you to end up with alligator skin, yellow teeth and a voice like Rita Crosby.

Well, yeah, I kind of assumed that. I mean IDE, SCSI, SATA?

Also, keep in mind if you plan to upgrade your processor and motherboard, you'll probably also need new ram since the ram you have now probably isn't DDR. On top of that, if your computer came with intergrated video, you'll need to get a new video card as well. So either way you go, Intel or AMD, you're likely going to be spending a good deal of money. Your best bet may be to just give Dell $299 and get a brand new computer. In which case, Dell will have made the Intel vs AMD descision for you. They chose Intel.

Well, that depends on how much you'd like to upgrade. Sempron and P3 covers alot of territory. Also, how much ram are you looking to get? What type of video card?

If you're looking for the best price I'd suggest ebay, but if you want it all from one reliable source, than newegg. You may also try froogle or cnet shopping to find the best price.

Another issue you'll need to consider is your case, alot of smaller style cases used by pc makers won't work with most new motherboards, even if it claims to be ATX.

And when you do choose a processor, I would suggest the processor-in-a-box deal. Its a little more but cheaper than buying the grease and heatsink seperately, and it comes with a warrentee.

Well, there's an easy wat to find out. Where do you plug in your monitor? Is it up in the top rectangle with the mouse, keyboad, and usb stuff, or is down below that on its own seperate thin rectangle?
If its up top, that means its intergrated into the motherboard, if its down below, that means its on a seperate card.

Well, now were making progress. You've gone from just AMD vs Intel to AMD vs Intel and ATI vs Nvidia.

Its impossible, though, for anyone to give you specific advice on what to get and how much it will cost, though, without knowing a little more about how much you're looking to spend and how powerful of a system you're trying to build.

Has it always done this or did it just start? If it just started I would suggest uninstalling all your wireless drivers and whatever software that came with it and reinstalling from scratch.

Wouldn't know how to do it, or if it'd even work. I'm betting no.

I mean with just a line splitter and an extra piece of cable. Although that may not work, but what do know would work is to split the line between the base and the handset, so you can put a second handset on it.

My point is, for all our political correctness it doesn't stop us from turning a blind eye when a situation doesn't directly effect us. I can't say for certian what happened in Germany, but I suspect not everyone got behind the whole extermination idea, its just easier to look the other way.
