Well, I am on AIM. Right now I have tried since I got here to play this online but unfortunately every race I join in won't work... it gets to the race but then doesn't do the countdown...

I'm open to a race, though. Just IM me saying you want to race...
It should work since my brother plays Xbox Live without problems...

EDIT: Stupid DirectWay. Satellite is just... stupid.
And to think I thought it was good...

No clue who you are, but...

Hi.
Just to let you know, I go by cpubasic13.

An SFer, huh? Neat, I guess. Although I stay in the Sim-Battle Arena more than the Story Forum, it is nice to know that the activity there is going to be going up.

Hope to see some good things from you.

I don't give a flying rat's fuck about it "feeling" like a Mario game. You want a hack? You got one. And this is by far the best hack I've seen. Ever. It actually twists the genre of it, and that's a ground breaking feat in the world of Super Mario ROM Hacking. So quit fucking complaining. It's a goddamned hack. Don't play it if you don't like it. You're all acting like a bunch of fucking pricks.

I'll have to agree with the bolded parts. If you don't like a game, would you buy it anyway? I hope not. Then why would it be different for rom hacking when altogether you can ignore it?

I am done with this topic going off topic. The fact of the matter is that this hack is different and that is great to some, not great to others. If you are the others, then don't comment. Don't begin arguing. Just stop. You don't have to post to a more-than-1-page thread if you don't want to, especially with nothing but defenses to arguing inside the thread.

I also respect everyone's rights to their own opinion. I would highly suggest you do so as well since we all have to post here and if you don't like someone's opinion, well... then quit acting like it is supposed to be a fact. This isn't a test, this is a message board. A message board in which people have their own things to say. Don't repect it? Then don't bother with it. Very simple thing to do that none of you can really grasp...

jp, if you are still looking here, I would suggest just packaging the hack and releasing the demo now just so that this stupid argument can be over with. I am indeed interested in it and want to try it out.

If I am acting like a mod, sorry. I am just tired of this BS.

Not just ending in "y" but ending in "day." We know its a day, so couldn't we just say it is Mon, or Tues?

Today is Mon. Tomorrow is Tues. Then its Wednes.
Hehe. Wednes. Sounds like an emulator...

Posted on 02-20-06 02:21 PM, in Music importing with sappy Link
If you want to insert midis, you'll need a program called Midi2GBA. It makes a .gba file with your songs in it, but that is not the reason to get it. Once you get that there is a file inside called midi2agb. That file converts the midi to a .s file.

After you get the .s file, open up Sappy and then your rom. Find the song you want to overwrite. Click Assemble Songs and find the .s file you just made. For the first offset (without removing the &H) put in some free space to import the song to. For voice, just use the voice offset seen in Sappy. Presto! The song is in!* The pointers are redone for you as well if you want. Now the instruments are probably messed up, so just export the tracks and edit them there then reinsert them. I believe that there is some help with that in the help file of Sappy, so I won't go into that here.

*NOTE: Some songs won't work in Sappy but will work in game. Some won't work with both. Some will work in Sappy but not in game. If it doesn't work in Sappy then try it out with the emulator of your choice to see if it works.

If you want to insert something else... well, I really don't know how to do such. Kawa could help... I guess...
Or someone with knowledge of Sappy...

You know, I am not going to join up in this fad.
Not because it isn't funny. I just don't like fish. I had fish and they all died. Also, after working at Red Lobster for a while I just got tired of that fishy smell.

That breadfish... he is a fish and a grain. He is very healthy! Get your fiber AND protein in one meal!
If only they did that with chicken... wait, that is a chicken sandwhich...

Yeah. There is a problem with real life logic in these new commercials.
Not that crackers can't talk or swim or have sleeping bags, no. That isn't what bothers me.
What bothers me is that whoever eats them leaves five to ten crackers in a bag then puts the bag away.
That is just impossible.

You have your hack on the desktop or in the folder on the desktop?

It is probably best not to work on the desktop... things get weird when working with stuff on it.

Anyway, if the hack is in New Folder (2) then put inside that folder a folder called ExGraphics and then inside that folder put the ExGFXxx.bin inside there. THEN insert it.

I don't see why this is so hard to grasp...

No. In Lunar Magic, go to options and check "Use Joint GFX" or something like that. Then extract the graphics in Lunar Magic. Now you have your AllGFX.bin in the Graphics folder that is in the same folder as your hack.

THEN you can edit it in a tile editor.

A: First step is to extract GFX and ExGFX (even if there aren't any in the rom). Then reinsert GFX and ExGFX.

Oh boy.
I'll be Caboose tomorrow then. If a custom title can be added in for me, I'd make it "Now I am thinking about kittens! It makes me angry!

Posted on 02-23-06 10:40 PM, in Sim Battle Arena Cafeteria and Auditorium (Now Playing: "Starting a New Journey May Not Be So Hard") Link
William walked into the cafeteria after a long period of doing nothing at home. Something was up...

As he walked into the middle of the cafeteria, the doors opened again, revealing what seemed to be William... again, but he wasn't in his usual black jacket with orange shirt and blue jeans. Instead, this William wore a Yoshi's Island t-shirt, shorts, and also was a bit younger. Then another William appeared inside, with an orange shirt and black jeans.

Three Williams? That can't be.
It was true though.

William: "Well, I should probably explain. I was looking at the old battle footage in the archives and... well, I found these two frozen in time. On further inspection, they somehow became unfrozen and ventured along with me for some reason. They were my first creations of myself. Boy, how pitiful they are."
William (B): "Hey! I can hurt you!"
William: "With what? Your random bag?"
William (W): "Yeah, I abandoned that a while ago due to the Windonian Empire coming along."
William: "No you didn't, but it doesn't matter. Both of you suck."
William (Both Past Selves): "WHAT!?"
William: "..."

The present day William walked forward and walked out to the other rooms of the Acmlm Board complex. He was more experienced now, withstanding a universal crash and such which his past selves never had to deal with.

Meanwhile, Binary William and Windonian William stood there. B William looked over at W William.

William (B): "Ummm... hi. Want to fight?"
William (W): "Sorry. I have an empire to fight."

W William ran out the way he came in to fight the evil Windonian Empire. Sure, present-day William had to fight the Windonian Empire, but recently with rumors of head soldier Barnaos having died on a mission made William think that they weren't a threat any longer and just wanted to have fun from here on out. W William probably would not realize this at all...
B William, alone, decided he was going to find battles. He flashed into binary code and then ventured off through the walls of the building.

----
OOC: Yes... now my past selves are up for battle. Reason? For a future appearance of Timesplitter William. You'll see later on.
NOTE: B William was my first character here. He traveled by binary. W William was a reworked version of him, but had a story. The present day William is my main character that I will barely change from here on out.

Bored one day, William decided to set up a fight for anyone up for a challenge. There was no reason other than boredom...

The arena was a simple stone arena with Greek style pillars on the four corners of the rectangular arena, which was about fifty yards, half a football field. There were stands for bystanders to watch as well. The sky was bright blue and the day was not real breezy. The perfect conditions.

There were no rules, really. He wanted to fight. The smaller arena would make for some nice fighting action which is what he wanted.

William: "Now... umm... I guess I need to wait for a contender..."
