The following conversation will be sub-woofed by THX like we know what that means.

Sir Teddylot: GREY! ... I'm gonna make an Ask Teddylot thread.
DetectiveGrey: why?
Sir Teddylot: 'cause I've always wanted one ... and I'm hilarious.
Sir Teddylot: >.> According to the latest Kirbynite poll.
Sir Teddylot: >.> Kirbynite polls are accurate with 0 error. =o
Sir Teddylot: It's so accurate the fractional error's negative. =o
DetectiveGrey: so you're basing it off of impossible statistics? o.O
Sir Teddylot: >.> As crazy as it sounds is as crazy as it's going to be.
Sir Teddylot: That's going to be the thread's catch phrase.

One of the spare lecture rooms in the Acmlm Building was de-spider webbed and Endusted to prepare for the big event. Sure, a lecture room compared to the bigger-budget, full-blown stages used for bigger productions doesn't amount to much, but the Department of Story Forums was running a little dry on money as their original budget was cut in half to help provide for the dying Sim-Battle forums. Nevermind board economics for the gracious lecturer of the day, Teddylot, was seated on a large stool in the center of the lecture hall ... nobody else was there ... even the balcony he had built in case any Muppets showed up ... was empty.

The teddy bear was hoping people would show up to his awesome session of awesomeness. After all, he made Zap and Twister paste up all those posters around the Acmlm Building to garner attention for his presentation the other day, and if nobody showed up, that would be a lot of work energy lost. Except for Zap, of course. Zap runs his life by displacement, which means he's doing absolutely no work ... every day. Ecclesiastical, I know.

Teddylot continued to swing his feet back and forth on the large stool and waited for some random folk to show up and ask him random questions. He was prepared. He had a napkin full of witty retorts like "shut up, you're a douchebag" or "I think ... someone crapped on the coats" and then "what? I hope my coat didn't get crapped on" and then he'd blend into the abyss. 'Cause he was guilty ... and nobody would know. Great way to be remembered.

Teddylot: Wait ... what? Why is the description ranting?

And the doors and ears are open.

Little did they know, Teddylot had prepared for an attack of Hiroshimic proportions. He had set up a pull-back styled balloon launcher and had already loaded it and was about to launch.

Zap: You know, at the angle you're aiming that snowball, it'll totally--

Teddylot: Launch code verified.

The snowball launched ... it missed. In fact, it missed the island.

Teddylot: Woah ... that went far.

Zap: Yeah ... you know, if the ball weren't of the snow variety. It might've taken to orbit.

Teddylot: Doesn't matter. I was just showing off my power with that demonstration, you know, flexing my muscles.

Teddylot: There are no LITTLE SMOKIES! Only pigs in blankets. Now, if you'll excuse me, ladies. I have some mail to express mail.

Teddylot threw the bag back over his shoulder and made his way towards the Island's Edge!!!. 'Cause he's intense like that.

Teddylot stopped at the foot of the mysterious hole ... because it actually hat a foot. Being a hole, Teddylot was very tempted to just jump into its unbeknownst depths, but he was on a noble mission ... He wasn't quite sure what it was yet, but he'd figure that out on the fly ... McFly ... Back to the Future ... 1-3 ...

The bear, despite the hole acting as sweet, sweet candy in more than one way, was able to fight his addiction of exploring strange holes to continue his treck towards the island's edge.

He didn't realize it was that far away 'cause it's taking an ungodly long time to get there.

Teddylot: Anti-airs, hmm?

Teddylot flopped onto the ground and rested against the wall of his snow fort. He crossed his arms and started poking his temple.

Teddylot: Think, think, think ...

Teddylot mind worked as well as it could and it formulated a daring plan. He picked a nice, well-constructed snowball and stuck it in Pitch's feet.

Teddylot: You're gonna bomb them, mang! Don't worry ... I'll cover you ... from the safety of the fort. And meanwhile, ...

Teddylot got up and ran over to Zap who was running the radar equipment and radios ... even though they were both completely useless. He whispered an order into the kid's ear. Teddylot grinned and Zap pondered the idea. It was pretty clever ...

Teddylot popped out of the box of cloaking devices, sending a few of them flying around the room. He had two of them in his hands and laying on his head. He chucked the two to Zap and Twister who were quickly trying to finish their oddly delicious sea-salt ice creams. Twister attached the device to his belt and Zap to his wrist.

Teddylot took the last device from his head and gave it some pretty stern, undeserved scrutiny.

Teddylot: What time is it?

As nobody else wants to ask for advice or consent from the great teddy bear guru atop the mountain, Teddylot shall now answer the first question.

Teddylot: You can climb a wall? Seriously? That's ... pretty cool, I guess. Unless, that is, that's all you can do. Then that's pretty useless. Now, towards your question.

No ... not because you can climb walls, but because you're a dude. At least I hope so. Guys aren't supposed to be grossed out by bugs. All you need is a good newspaper or a huge wad of TP and you gain a +52 in bug squashing skills. Ample power to give you spine enough to take on a bug.

Now, the only case where you might bug out is if the crawlers are the size they are on Skull Island. But then again, King Kong eats those guys for breakfast. That and bats, but bats are more of a snack.

Teddylot: Sorry, Kirb. I only dig holes to China. Never to candy.

Teddylot stopped at the very edge of the island and bent over the edge while still managing to keep his balance. Teddylot took a stronger, two-hold grip of the bag full of stuff. He overturned the bag over the side of the island and out dropped a ton of letters similar to the ones Kirbynite was holding. The letters fluttered down slowly towards the earth below. Teddylot stood there, looking down at the fluttering paper that he had patiently printed, folded, and wax-stamped and smiled.

Zap: *yelling from by the lake* Teddylot ... we're over the Pacific Ocean at the moment. Nothing's down there.

Teddylot: Ah ... I see that now. Well, back to printing then.

Teddylot: Awesome, my first few fanmails. School.

Teddylot scrutinized the letters intently as if he were reading them, but he really wasn't. The fact that the letters were upside down didn't help his case much. Non-chalantly, he looked around and tossed both letters into the garbage can.

As for the e-mai, Teddylot read it and prepared to answer his second question ... ever. EVER!

Teddylot: Nothing. He's your arch-nemesis. Your supposed to barely beat his rear, but he has to survive so that he could remain your arch-nemesis. What's the point if he's dead? Besides, I'd want to keep him alive just to beat him repeatedly and increase your win (ego) count.

As for the whipped cream, I'd totally eat him.

Zap and Twister had bunched themselves up in their clothing to trap as much heat as possible. They stood their shivering slightly waiting for the team leader's to make a snappy and hopefully warm decision. Teddylot, on the other hand, had already managed to find some stray twigs and rotting wood. Enough wood, in fact, to take over the world build a small fire where he was roasting a couple dozen marshmallows all at once ... on one branch.

Zap: I wouldn't mind going to the library ... it sounds warm there.

Teddylot: S'mores anybody? Anybody? I don't want to have to eat this entire mess of s'morey goodness on my own, you know. Well ... maybe.

Teddylot acted as if he weren't just scolded, but he did seem to tone down his actions by just a tad. He just stood there with an empty branch with sticky tips hanging at his side. His mouth was full of delicious goodness.

Teddylot: *muffled* Marshmallows? There are no marshmallows any more.

And then on the fifth-page, the Lord said that there would be a bump in the night!

'sup guys? Nothing much has happened to me as of late except a ton of pencil work and a bushel of artwork. Here's the latest dose of four pieces. Three in a series and then a third to finish one up.

"Apathetic Way to Be"

This first of a series got me going into a few Ecclesiastical ideas going on in my mind ...

"Mechanical Hands are the Ruler of Everything"

Second ... turned out decent ... same premise ...

"When Finally Set Free"

And finally the third ...

A few Notes:

-All the people are self-portraits. Me in my best light ... blue.
-All hands belong to my friend.
-All titles are songs and that's where a lot of influence came from. Bands include Relient K, Tally Hall, and Copeland respectfully.
-The main influence on all pieces besides the biblical book is Tally Hall's "Spring and a Storm". Brilliant song, enjoy it quite much.
-The actual size of these pieces is about ... just put them in proportion against a wall ... that big.

And then the last piece to finish an already begun series.

"Observational Camera"

A tad on the large side, I know, but I didn't want to bring down the quality too much more.

If you want a closer look at the image inside the camera:

That actually took me longer to make than everything else in that silly picture. I'm happy with that though.

A few Notes:
-characters include the classic four: Teddylot, Zap, Twister, and May.
-Actual size about 12x16.
-Goes hand in hand with previously posted "Observational Spoon" and "Observational Games"

If you layered properly, you can get rid of the "white/grey jagged outline" by changing the lineart layer from "Normal" to "Multiply."

Just some eye candy. I might tweak it a tad within the next few days, but for now, it's done.

"Amsterdam"

It's a little work in Juxtaposition. It turned out better than I thought it would.

Comments, criticism, whatever ... if you want, I suppose.

Notes:
1. You just might recognize that the words are actually a chorus from a Guster song ... and yes, the song is called "Amsterdam."
2. I'm telling you: music is currently my best source of inspiration at the moment.

Well, there are two possible outcomes for this new version of The Birds. First, we could get a copy of the story Alfred Hitchcock told or we could get something closer to the original short story by Daphne du Maurier.

Let's just say that the two are pretty different. The only similarity is that birds go crazy and start killing people.

I sincerely hope it's the latter.

Note: The short story is pretty slick, actually. Good read.

Refresh.

"The Sun and the Moon"

More work in juxtaposition. This was actually made to replace the last one because the last one was deemed "redundant." Yep, I agree. I'm thinking I might just remove the text and that'll be that.

Anyway, this last piece turned out really well in my opinion.

Notes:
1. The colors are a bit off. There's a tad more shade of purple over most things blue that doesn't show up online.
2. I seriously love this piece.
3. "The Sun and the Moon" by Mae.
4. Sorry 'bout the size, but I didn't want to make it any smaller than tihs.
5. Enjoy and I'd love some criticism.
