Game music and Jpop ftw. Specifically, anything by Koji Kondo or Do As Infinity. F-Zero X probably has the best music of any game I've ever played.

Programming on what console? If it's N64 or newer (any console, not just Nintendo's, save maybe for GBA), or PC, you can just use real 3D. Usually that'd be OpenGL, but if you only want to develop for Windows or Xbox, there's DirectX too. Any 3D you see on NES is software-rendered and basically fake because real 3D on such a limited system was essentially impossible. (SNES did it in some cases with extra chips in the cartridge.) On newer systems you actually have dedicated hardware to draw polygons and textures and all that.

Shut down or hibernate? There is a bug in lololol that makes it eat up CPU power for several minutes after hibernating for several hours in certain situations.

It might be overheating and slowing down to avoid damaging itself. Has it ever shown up at more than 1.3ghz?

You should try checking the disk for errors. IIRC you do that from a program in the Start menu, but it's been ages since I used ME (and not long enough ). ME is as buggy as your average anthill, though, so expect things to act up at random like that.

Yeah, the mic is cool, but official games don't really do much with it. Blow into it to try to do this, talk to it and hope it recognizes which word you said, etc...

Practically every time I use No$gmb I find myself wishing the debugger had some other simple feature, or at least didn't have one of however many bugs.

I'll be more excited when SnesDS supports saving. And can play 4MB ROMs on a GBAMP (or I get a Supercard). And has about 38746983 bugs fixed so the games actually work. Portable SNES games pwn.

I think they usually do it because the SPC700 alone can't handle it. For example some games stream raw PCM data from ROM, and the mere 64K the SPC700 has just isn't enough for the sample. In this case, though, I'm guessing it's a case of "we ported the game from the NES and didn't want to bother writing a proper SPC700 program".

I think on SMW Central there's a method to disable it throughout the game. Some ASM work would be required to disable it for one level though.

Also,I tried making my own ExGFX but each time I insert them it asks me for a Map16 page but, I don't know how to make one what do I do?

1) Make sure "Use joined GFX files" in the Options menu is OFF.
2) Extract the graphics. This creates several files in \Graphics named GFX00.bin, GFX01.bin, etc.
3) Create an \ExGraphics folder in the same place as the \Graphics folder is in (not in the \Graphics folder itself), and copy any of the gfx??.bin files into it.
4) Rename the files in \ExGraphics to ExGFX80.bin, ExGFX81.bin and so on; the same way the originals are named, but starting at 0x80.
5) Edit the files in \ExGraphics, then click Insert ExGFX in LM.
6) In the ExGFX Bypass or Super GFX Bypass dialog, select 80 or above to use your new graphics.

I know ASM pretty damn well. I can also design really nice overworlds and levels on paper/in my head, though actually creating them in the game can be difficult (especially since there I have to worry about the SNES's limitations).
