So the North Koreans launched some missiles...Big deal. Their only long range missile failed miserably! In 40 seconds after launch it blew up. If you ask me, I think North Korea is only letting us see what they want us to see. For anyone else out there that recently had a powerout, I think we're all in for a load more trouble. |

| I think it would work exactly like TV does. If you can't pay the broadcasting company to put your channel/show on the TV, then no TV show.
But you are right, the Internet should never operate like that. It's one of the only widely availiable social mediums we have left that have real freedom. |

| I think it's kinda funny how we all vote for this kind of facism every 4 years, and nobody has ever changed the system at all. We don't need a court order to cure ourselves the way they want, we need new laws to ensure that we still have the freedom to do what we want without endangering others.
I bet this kid is going to die if he takes more radiation. I'd kill everyone who touched me if they tried to stick me into some radiation bin, to MAYBE get better. |

It probably wouldn't be so bad if Alberta (A canadian province) didn't ship it's oil across the world and kept it strictly North America only, but I think that might lead to economic problems, no? 
In any case, because we desperately need that oil, the middle east likes to take advantage of that and use this war as an excuse. Which is bullshit, but they can get away with it. |

Now, I want you to think the word Terrorism. What do you see? What do you associate with it? Do you see a man with a machine gun in the Middle East? It's not a shame if you do, it is what the world around you has put before your eyes so that you believe it to be true. So, what is terrorism? Is it Arab's blowing up buildings? Is it an extremist forcing the hands of others by force? Is it a war which instills fear upon people in the name of a belief? Quite honestly, none of these are correct. Terrorism is a label we have put on a group of people or actions that we fear. This in itself is the definition of terrorism. By classic definition, the word terrorism is merely "The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons". That, of course, according to Dictionary.com. To take a literal stance on the terrorism deal, I have come to understand what we choose (What I have chosen previously, I will not deny) to ignore. A terrorist, by definition, can be anyone. The Mafia. The United States. ANYONE. Anyone who can strike fear into your heart is a terrorist. A Muslim is only someone who believes in being a Muslim, not much indifferent than the way a Christian believes in being Christian. Their faiths may vary greatly, but the important thing is that they BELIEVE in something. So I believe in freedom, not much unlike you do. But lets say your freedom had been revoked from you. You were stripped of the basic rights you all love and had no other choice but to fight back. The point I'm getting at is that a Jihadist is NOT a terrorist. They are Idealists and they wish to be free just like me and you. They put their very fucking lives on the line and in the face of death to ensure that their message be heard. Something we apparently are too pansy to do. Ok, Rom Manic, what are you getting at? If you want something bad enough, people will stand up for it. Thats not terrorism, thats honorable. Do you disagree? |

| I haven't really been following this whole ordeal closely, but from what I can gather from your post, it's all in the name of making a pretty penny. And it is the US's fault, those people seem just to me in saying so.
If countries really want their crops to make them profit, the tarrifs really should be increased. |

| I think I get it now. So the US can exploit these third world countries by hiring labour for beans, get away with it, and save a shitload of money, but these same third world countries can't repay the favor by increasing the trade tarrifs on certain products coming into the country from the US?
Probably different topic, but anyway...I still think it's retarded how the WTO doesn't put new laws into effect regarding that. |
