OOC: I just feel SO sorry for Dynamo...  BTW, Forte, I'm really really enjoying that RP you started. 
Now for the introduction of my newest character. Here's nothin'... As Schwa happily consumes his meal, another figure walks into the Cafe. He's ALMOST 4 feet tall and furry, giving him a downright adorable face. His coat, pants and hat, the coat being COVERED with pockets, are all a light bluish-purple, and the hat's rim is a furry white ring, making it look comfortable to wear. He's also got a belt diagonally over his coat from the left shoulder to the right waist, where another belt is located in a normal position. The belts are buckled together, apparently. Over the coat is a computer-chip-painted vest, the shoes are jade-colored, and to top it all off, this character has a large red-orange ball of fur dangling over his head, and a pair of batlike, red-orange wings that are tattered around the edges. His species would only be known to some of the diners in this Cafe. 
He pops in, looking around in a curious manner. "Hmm... I wonder what kind of food they have here, kupo?" Some random Hyrule-ish Elven archer walking by hears his question and replies. "Everything." He's gone before the newcomer knows it, and this furry character is speechless. "Everything!? KupoPO! ...I really have to investigate this!" He approaches the counter. "Excuse me, but somebody told me you serve EVERYthing here. Not to be skeptical, kupo, but is that true?" "Sure is! Ha HA! Are you a Moogle, sonny?" "Ah, you've noticed! ...Yep, I'm a foreigner. My name is Yinns. I'm thinking of taking my wife out to dinner here, although we live pretty far away and I'd have to perfect my Pocket Teleporter first..." "Sounds like a great idea! But wait now, kid... Just how young does your kind marry?" "Kupo... I'm... I'm 34." "OH! Wahahahaha! Sorry about that... I don't read a lot, so I go by instincts, and sometimes they're wrong. It's hilarious! But yes, by all means, bring your wife! As for right now, are you in the mood for ordering something today?" "Kupo! Well, now that you mention it..." Yinns places his order and finds an empty table. "The service seems to be pretty good, kupo... Golly, I hope I don't look like an outsider to this burly bunch." He says his thoughts aloud without meaning to, plus the seats are open, and, well... |

Yinns takes his place on the arena. "Initiate Combat AI, initiate Cooling AI. Set target variable to, quote, "Rin", quote. Kupo." Yinns feels his Vest's temperature increase as it's systems go into an Overclock, cooled by internal systems controlling a network of Liquid Mooncrest Crystal. As always, Yinns is proud of himself for designing that feature. "Rin, Master of Hammer and Earth! I would be honored if you struck first so I could warm up with a defense. Good luck!" Yinns still isn't sure if Rin knows how dependant on technology Yinns happens to be in combat, but hey... |

With that, Schwa sighs before stepping into the pod. Instantly he can feel every atom in his body ripped from each-other and shot through a cannon... but the feeling lasts an instant, and before he knows it, Schwa finds himself in an unfamiliar setting...? He quickly steps off the pod in case Kire and Zeron want a turn, and looks around warily. "Hrmm... Is this the Cybernetic Plane or the Material Plane? My mind is playing tricks on me... Shoot." |

| "How's he moving in that, kupo? Sheesh, he wasn't kidding when he said 'master'."
As Rin gets close before his attack, Yinnns jumps right over his shoulder, then suddenly halts all vertical direction as he takes off at sonic speed in midair, straight ahead! This only lasts for a few yards before he stops his horizontal movement as well, swiftly dropping to the ground. This process his called his Air Dash, and it has conveniently put him only several yards behind Rin. "Initiate Coil Knuckles AI." Yinns turns around, as a green eye-lens slides out from under his cap and covers his right eye. Yinns now sees exclusive computer data and a crosshair, which locks on to Rin in a second as Yinns holds out his fists... Surprisingly, his fists are now coated in amber-colored, diamond-shaped claws that fit perfectly over them. (They slid out of his sleeves while he was air-dashing.) Even more surprisingly, he suddenly fires them out like missiles, only they're shot on a coil-chain of linked silicon orbs. Both fired Knuckles have a reach of 18 feet, which is more than enough room in this case, and the double-attack comes from behind unless Rin had turned around by now. Both shots are aimed very well in the cracks of the armor to actually deliver a hit to the target, but depending on how Rin moves they might strike the armor after all. Knuckle attacks feel like getting punched by someone wearing a spiked, steel glove. After the attack, be it a hit or a miss, the coils retract again, snapping the Knuckles back in place over his small hands. (if attack successful) "KupoPO! You'll have to do better than that, my friend!" |

| Now I actually feel very, very sorry for the Dry Bones. Trust me, folks, it feels awful to get yelled at by a Yoshi. So, what I'm gonna do is donate some of my own technology to the DBTWMK (Dry Bones Technology Wing of Mushroom Kingdom) so it can be taken apart and used to benefit Dry Bones technology around the nation. Then I'm gonna buy one of their computers, take IT apart, tweak it, rebuild it and donate the result as well. Dry Bones geeks need justice dealt to them!!!!
Seeriously, good panel, save for the "Blue Bird". Now that all the Visors have been appraised in some way or another, hopefully they'll be able to put some pain on the Bandit of Yoshi's Isle in exchange for the fire, meat, grapes, TENT, fort, and chandileir. BAM! Get 'im, guys! |

| Schwa stares at Forte for a few seconds, obvious that he heard Forte's greeting, but he doesn't respond yet. His hands flare warily with blue Etheral energy as he steps almost past Forte, looking all around more than once, taking in his high-tech surroundings. But it isn't long before he looks downward and shakes his head dizzily.
"Just-- Just a moment..." Slowly he removes his blindfold, and looks around one more time. This time, a smile slowly spreads over his face. He seems to be much more comfortable with his surroundings now. He turns back to Forte again, for the first time revealing his actual eyes to him, which are a dark hazel green. "Thank you for the greeting, old adversary-- new ally. Sorry for a moment ago, but high amounts of concentrated electricity combined with magnetism and metal-- basically a computer-- has a way of disrupting my Blind Sight. Also, usually technology makes me squeemish... I've been a swordfighter before, now I use Psi energy, but I've never used like, say, a laser gun or one of those Beam Sabers to combat, not in my life. So... yeah. By any chance do you plan on introducing me to your comrades?" His hands still involuntarily flare with ether, as he is very excited right now. "Oh, by the way, there's two more coming through the pod in a few seconds. Those two on the rooftop have joined forces with me for a while. Heh, I thought you should know... That wouldn't interfere with anything you have planned, would it?" |

You're bringing a Flower into W2-4 to kill Bowser for the 5000, some badass fish in w2-3 barely nicks you 'cause you forget to duck, and you're instantly screwed forever in the 5000 department should you have actually reached the checkpoint by now. They get even WORSE in The Lost Levels. |

| Schwa waits until David and company have left the room to talk before he thrusts his finger accusingly into Forte's chest, and...
"Okay, THAT was uncalled for. If we're going to be in alliance with each-other, we've gotta learn to trust each-other, so there CANNOT be any lying or covering-up whatsoever involving me and those here. And in relation to your last statement, I have no idea what the hell you mean by "our world", since it's MY world too, buddy, along with Kire and Zeron's, who, by the way, have just teleported into the base. Glad you could make it, you two." He waves at them and refocuses his attention. "Anyway! ...I hope you know I do intend to undo David's lie, whether they get hostile or not. And one last thing... Should I ever hear you refer to Psi as "magic" again--" he does a split-second mind-read on Forte, "...I'll easily rough you up way worse than that finishing blow you so slyly made against Slur in that Time Machine battle. Psi is NOT magic." He stares at Forte exp "Those are my only rules, really... And if I offended you, let me say sorry about that, but if there's one thing I do not stand for it's being exploited by my allies, or any of my allies exploiting my other allies for that matter... Past experiences have made me, how do we say... hostile... to those kinds of goings-on. You might even know how that is first-person, even. So..." He turns around again, puts back on his blindfold, and focuses... "Meijin, listen to me very carefully... I am not the Reploid slash Navi your ally made me out to be. I am HUMAN, and you, David and I are eventually gonna learn to trust each-other. I have made that clear to Forte, I intend to clarify with David, and before things get ugly I'm letting YOU know, too. You will not be hostile with David for lying when he gets back, either. Leave that to me. Call me Schwa." 
Schwa's telepathic message is focused right to Meijin, concluding smile and all, where he sits in his office. Even long telepathic messages are over in seconds, but they always come out perfectly clear, so the only thing that could prevent Meijin from believing him is his own denial. |

Nevertheless, Schwa's about to end this madness right here and now. "Soul Search!" (echo effects) This move has been hyped up since Schwa's last usage of this Tech. The mana flow in the air becomes warped and humid with Psi energy, allowing Schwa to see the REAL Krishen as a lightbulb and the fakes as nothing but shadows. At the same time, the mana abnormality in the air has the new effect of disrupting anything that's not real, instantly unveiling the invisible, dispatching holograms, rooting out magical illusions and even making the act of telling a lie very, very hard. (The latter would definitely be useful to Schwa in the future should he decide to interrogate a demon before killing it.) Schwa can keep this move up for a very long time, but for somewhat obvious reasons he probably wouldn't. Krishen doesn't necessarily know that. Schwa looks around at his altered surroundings, pinpointing the target if he can... UMana llllllll.... 8/12 |

| Stupid, eh? I actually find that highly offensive, and it's HARD to offend me, so I congratulate you. It's Roleplaying talk, you ijit. I'm a man of the Story Forum and Arena, you know. Sometimes it rubs off on my other posts. It's also creative talk, which today's world is severely lacking. But Roleplaying isn't "stupid talk", else, why am I even here? Thank you for proving my point.

| Schwa takes off his blindfold again so he can concentrate better on Alia's question.
"Let's see... I COULD answer that, but it would take a pretty long time. I'll paraphrase it, but if you want the longer version just let me know... "Within the laws of what is possible, there are quite a number of Planes of Existance... We live in the Material Plane. Most Net Navis live in the Cybernetic Plane, or Internet as you would probably call it, and then you have the Spiritual Plane, and the only things that can exist there are souls-- as in, the energy that inhabits physical bodies during the time they're alive, only in the Spiritual Plane, souls are not in a body, so it's kinda like their afterlife if you know what I mean. "Now, in this Spiritual Plane are three forms of energy, which are a trinity, and they are the STRONGEST force to ever possibly exist in any plane. Those forces are the Living Assets that now flow through Forte." He turns to Forte and gives him a nod and thumbs-up, knowing Forte's slight obsession over power. "They are called Virtue, Respect and Honor. The thing about the Assets, though, is that while they ARE deities, they are only consciousnesses floating in the Spiritual Plane as opposed to being actual Gods with bodies and whatnot. They're formless. Likewise, they're impossible to physically contain. "But someone found a way thousands of years ago, named Rakuma. He found that a prayer to the Assets spoken in their tounge, which is physically impossible to do so they have to "choose" you first, will invite them into you. What happens then is that they actually fuse with your soul, and presto, you're a Psi Warrior! All a Psi Warrior is is a person of any sentinent species who's taken that prayer, that we call the Pact of Honor. I am included in that boat... ALL my powers directly come from the Assets, which are, in truth..." Suddenly, Schwa thrusts his right arm up at an angle, and the room is filled with red, gold and blue light that flows like water around the entire room. The sight of this can move someone to tears of exhiliration. The lights flow for almost 10 seconds before they are all sucked back into Schwa's right arm, before he finishes his sentence... "...in my right arm. So... That's why Psi energy is not considered to be magic. Magic comes from the mind, while Psi comes directly from the Assets. Yes, the mind is still INVOLVED in Psi, but Psi is more along the lines of Divine energy than Arcane energy. You follow me? "That's also why I wear the blindfold. It is so I can better put all my trust in the Assets to guide me as opposed to relying on my own powers. That discipline is normal for the Psi Warriors. ...You know, all of you should stop by MY HQ sometime. It's a little hard to reach, but the dedicated always manage to find a way. Maybe before all this is over I'll take you there..." Schwa's shpiel is over, and he waits to see how those in the room (Kire and Zeron included, for they've likely never heard about this from him before) react to this insight. OOC: I wonder if the Hunters end up having to go to Crystal Psipalace during the course of the RP...? That'd be interesting. ^.^ |

| Oooohhhhhh, this guy likes controversy! I like Alastor now that I've met him! He's just like me when I'm not on the Board.
Killing two ducks with one laser cannon, I'd like to point out that in Roleplaying, during the narrative portions is when good grammar is necessary, but when we're writing our characters' Dialouge, it's vital to keep in mind that MANY people actually talk like the way Tarale pointed out, OR with an accent, or both. Someone might actually talk like "I gots meself a new pair o' shoes at da mall yest'rdee" involuntarily! Doing accents really makes the writer think, both in Roleplaying and regular novel writing. Also, because I'm a roleplayer, I end up capitalizing a lot of words that you normally wouldn't see capitalized, such as Good and Evil. Most of the time it's even purposeful, but when I'm NOT Roleplaying and someone catches an ostracisable uppercase letter, you can see how that'd embarass me for a moment. Secondly, I end up posting how I'd talk in real life, because thanks to the Roleplaying I actually feel like I'm in a room with you guys when I'm replying to a non-RP thread. Roleplaying really is a whole 'nother world. It might even do you good to stop by our two forums, but you NEED to be creative, you NEED to enjoy writing, and you NEED a LOT of spare time on your hands (which doesn't look like a problem). Knowing you, though, you may very well just blow me off... But at least take a LOOK at some of the stuff we do. You'll get a better idea of where I'm coming from. OOC: One minute!? Wow.  That's a double-edged sword, though...
"Kupopo! That armor has to go." Yinns reaches for something under his coat, but Rin decides to attack at that moment, and he is interrupted. Yinns air-dashes again to his left, activating another gadget at the same time. "Initiate: Jupiter Well." As Yinns lands, suddenly the grass and vines in about a 12-foot radius from Yinns is squashed by an invisible force. At the same time, any of the rock shards that approach that radius are immediately pulled to the ground, and Yinns avoids all damage. The minute hasn't gone by completely, though, so Rin may decide to cancel the attack on his next move. What happened was that a Gravity Well has appeared around where Yinns is standing. Since Yinns is in the eye, he isn't affected, but aside from that the Well is stronger the closer one is to Yinns. Yinns walks slowly towards Rin, and the Well moves with him. Any approaching shards are sucked to the ground, and very soon Rin finds himself within 12 feet of his foe, and at the mercy of the extra gravity. With the rock armor he's wearing as well, this could potentially be absolutely devastating to Rin, and may very well hurt him a great deal. "Don't fall down, you'll never get up! Kupo!" |

But that's just like me, Drac! The only difference between us is that I've used creative writing as a discipline that focuses the positive chakra in my spirit to the surface both when I'm posting and when I'm in public. If I've written for half an hour right before going to my psychologist every other Friday, I'm able to function better during our conversations. That goes with ANYTHING else you can think of. That's why I seriously suggest that our donkey friend Alasstor at least LOOKS at the creative writing possibility. Unless, of course, people will start to miss the OLD him, which they probably will 'cause I know by this point I would, and I've known the guy for only a few posts... Man, maybe I should start posting outside the RP forums more. Look at all the glory and stuff I've been missing! Thanks, Stylish, you've opened my eyes a little more today. |

| Actually, people have told me that the Arena had never been the same since I left. And it's kinda true; I saw less activity and lower quality battles when I left the Board and occasionally spied on the place as a Guest... When I came back, the good ol' battle quality I once knew picked back up.
I thought of something else, though: Alastor, you help out in the SMW forum with advice every so often, right? That's even though most of the questions asked anymore seem to be n00b questions... In that sense, the SMW hacking forum is essentially just like the Arena. They stay away from us because they see us as low-quality, but they don't take the time to seek out the gems. I've seen some very intelligent questions recently in SMW Hacking, so that place has gems too. It all depends on the poster, really. Some RPers take the Arena and RPs VERY seriously, and all their battles and stroies are very long and complicated and high-quality stuff. I'm one of those people. Some people just want to goof around in a lighthearted way, and they'll get a different audience of opponents than someone of my style. Just as there are many styles and skill levels of Roleplaying, it's the exact same way with SMW hacking. Some people are really good, someone else may be really good in a whole different way, and some people are n00bs. Does this make sense and do you agree with it? |

Yinns makes his way down the road, carrying some useless materials in his hand and on his back, venting to nobody. "Since they keep their stored materials in a chamber underwater, the humidity destroyed my temporary jetpack!
