drinking is overrated in my opinion

I've tried it... it was okay... nothing overly great at the time, and not fun to wake up to in the morning

I prefer being sober. Everything is more enjoyable and memorable that way

Dudette: that is sleep apnea.... that's why he would have a machine....

and yeah.... the only thing that my wife can do is to get me to roll over onto my stomach....

other than that she just has to hope I stop

although, I only snore a lot when I'm sick... (which is now)

the problem people have with it is the fact that most people that push evolution remove God from the equation...

sometimes just a change of scenery is what players need to become better

it's possible that each team will benefit... although... I'd probably want Thornton over the other guys

Bookworm: you've inspired me not to post around here much anymore.... at least not in the debate are.

You are terrible at debating. You're getting destroyed. You have no direction and you let yourself get distracted.

And this thread is really confusing.

wow, that's a huge generalization to make

maybe you forgot, but the majority of Jews and Muslims live outside of "America" and probably still believe that

and not all Christians believe in a young earth.... quite a few are starting to accept the fact that the 7 day creation may not have been a literal 7 days like we know it

still.... even in America I don't think the majority are stuck on that idea

I'm christian and I don't believe that the earth is 6000 years and 7 days old.... I realize that the idea of a young earth doesn't make sense....

unless you want to argue that God made it "seem" old even though it wasn't... which is a really bad attempt to adhere to the bible

and really.... why would God who is eternal and exists outside of time build a planet (or universe) based on our observation of time? it makes no sense!

I find that number hard to believe.... less than 5% in the rest of the world?

correct me if I'm wrong but don't both Islam and Judaism believe in a creation by God/Allah? Combined those religions make up more than 5% of the rest of the world. Not a majority, but more than 5% for sure.

I don't see why we bother using them.... something like this is bound to happen....

I'd rather wait a little longer to have the vote counted by hand than let someone screw around a vote because they hacked some machine

those aren't fair representations of religion

there was a time when science and religion both agreed on a lot of things that were wrong. Like the earth was the center of the universe.

and those sorts of things don't happen much anymore. Sure there are faith healers that supposedly can heal people on the spot (for some money of course). Not all that convincing to me

Religion is faith in a God that knows all and science is here to discover what God already knows. They go hand in hand in my opinion. Of course they don't always seem to agree based on our current level of knowledge but our picture of the universe could change yet again when we learn new things about it. It's happened before and it will probably continue to happen.

officially I think I had 4 although only 2 of them lasted over 1 week

good old high school relationships that ended before they began...

the last girlfriend eventually became my wife (after only 9 months actually), so you never know who might work out.... when I first started dating her I sure didn't think we would get married

am I actually getting the idea from some of you that you think the US is getting worse because of Christians?

do you forget that when the US was founded it was primarily christian and has remained that way since that time?

sure, maybe not all of them are "right wing fundamentalist christians" but the largest portion of people are christian

the idea that Christianity is somehow going to be the downfall is far from the truth. In fact I feel it is the opposite. The rejection of Christianity's morals and values are what is ruining the US.
