I am a christian since I believe that there is a higher being that is capable of creation and destruction and that loves all things He creates. I think that anyone who says there is no god is missing a part of themself since I believe that God is a part of man, not just an addition.
Of the christian beliefs, I'm baptist, which believes in one god that takes on 3 jobs: Divine ruling, Incorporating himself in human's lives, and a god that, at one time, lived as one of us. Most people think chrisians are crazy and are sadly mistaken simply because we are week and need an emotional "crutch" to live our daily lives. Most people believe that chrisians are out of place since they do not know how to organize themselves so that they can "conform" themselves to those who are "un-saved". However, we christians are simply human representatives of God, and nothing else. Regardless of what you think could logically disprove my statements, I think that all people need their bodies, souls, and their spirits (controlled by god) to feel true peace and satisfaction. I can't help but realize that the average human is angry and upset at the world simply because they keep hungering for more and more things to improve themselves. With God, there is no need to "improve" myself and my mind's state of thinking...God helps with the improvements instead. Another thing people are mistaken about is that in order to reach a higher realm, such as heaven, you must be able to keep your sins to a minimum. This is true, however, it's not something that will cause you to go to hell, or a lower realm. All sins, or, blatant disobediences toward common morals and God's laws (pick up a bible and read exodus if you don't know what they are), can be forgiven, regardless of the humane damage it has done. The amount of sins are important because, as proved over many a age, People are more capable of sining as you continuously committ them. In closing, I know that before I posted this, the average person understands all this, but is not concerned. Most people believe I am crazy because I fail to understand common logic and I cannot see clearly. Believe what you want to, but I stick with Chrisianity. Have a Merry Christmas, and please remember the real reason for the season |

Hmm...I have a few interesting small ASM hacks for you all who make them...
1. for super mario bros. 1, is it possible for mario to carry stomped turtle shells or buzzy beetle shells? There is no need for a sprite hack, if you can manage a good carrying position for the shell as it is carried and as mario runs. Please make this for me, if it is possible. 2. for FF1, can someone make a new fight command that makes characters "jump" like in later FFs like dragoons? You can either replace the fight command or just add the jump command, whichever is easier. The "jump" command i'm looking for doesn't require many graphic changes. You may just make the character in his victory position, then the sprite disappears, along with the possibility of it getting hit by a foe. then, on the next turn, it attacks a random enemy. If someone could do this, I would be very grateful . Thanks for your time. |

Hm...just curious UZI, but what does your screen name stand for, and what does it mean?
Based on what you've said in your latest post, it seems you know serious ASM...but it's strangely similar to what DahrkDaiz designed |

I use lololol...mabey that has something to do with it...but left click nor right click will give me the download. Left click will bring me to the top of the thread while right click/save as will give me a corrupt file. I just simply retyped the link into the address bar. No biggie .

Aside from levels and graphics, will there be power-up modifications? Or...additions?
One way or another, I can't wait until this is released! Keep up the good work DahrkDaiz. |

No insult to you, UZI, but there are people here that are very proficient in SMW hacking. I think they know what they're talking about.

If any of you have any poetry that you have written, or poetry that you like, post it here for people to read.
For me, my favorite poet is William Cullen Bryant, the guy who invented "Free Verse" poetry. I am a huge fan of "Thanatopsis"... TO HIM who in the love of Nature holds Communion with her visible forms, she speaks A various language; for his gayer hours She has a voice of gladness, and a smile And eloquence of beauty, and she glides Into his darker musings, with a mild And healing sympathy, that steals away Their sharpness, ere he is aware. When thoughts Of the last bitter hour come like a blight Over thy spirit, and sad images Of the stern agony, and shroud, and pall, And breathless darkness, and the narrow house, Make thee to shudder, and grow sick at heart; Go forth under the open sky, and list To Nature's teachings, while from all around Earth and her waters, and the depths of air Comes a still voiceYet a few days, and thee The all-beholding sun shall see no more In all his course; nor yet in the cold ground, Where thy pale form was laid, with many tears, Nor in the embrace of ocean, shall exist Thy image. Earth, that nourished thee, shall claim Thy growth, to be resolved to earth again, And, lost each human trace, surrendering up Thine individual being, shalt thou go To mix forever with the elements; To be a brother to the insensible rock, And to the sluggish clod, which the rude swain Turns with his share, and treads upon. The oak Shall send his roots abroad, and pierce thy mould. Yet not to thine eternal resting-place Shalt thou retire alone, nor couldst thou wish Couch more magnificent. Thou shalt lie down With patriarchs of the infant world, with kings, The powerful of the earth, the wise, the good, Fair forms, and hoary seers of ages past, All in one mighty sepulchre. The hills Rock-ribbed and ancient as the sun; the vales Stretching in pensive quietness between; The venerable woodsrivers that move In majesty, and the complaining brooks That make the meadows green; and, poured round all, Old Ocean's gray and melancholy waste, Are but the solemn decorations all Of the great tomb of man! The golden sun, The planets, all the infinite host of heaven, Are shining on the sad abodes of death, Through the still lapse of ages. All that tread The globe are but a handful to the tribes That slumber in its bosom.Take the wings Of morning, pierce the Barcan wilderness, Or lose thyself in the continuous woods Where rolls the Oregon, and hears no sound, Save his own dashings, yet the dead are there: And millions in those solitudes, since first The flight of years began, have laid them down In their last sleepthe dead reign there alone. So shalt thou rest; and what if thou withdraw In silence from the living, and no friend Take note of thy departure? All that breathe Will share thy destiny. The gay will laugh When thou art gone, the solemn brood of care Plod on, and each one as before will chase His favorite phantom; yet all these shall leave Their mirth and their employments, and shall come And make their bed with thee. As the long train Of ages glide away, the sons of men, The youth in life's green spring, and he who goes In the full strength of years, matron and maid, The speechless babe, and the gray-headed man Shall one by one be gathered to thy side By those, who in their turn shall follow them. So live, that when thy summons comes to join The innumerable caravan which moves To that mysterious realm, where each shall take His chamber in the silent halls of death, Thou go not, like the quarry-slave at night, Scourged to his dungeon, but, sustained and soothed By an unfaltering trust, approach thy grave Like one who wraps the drapery of his couch About him, and lies down to pleasant dreams. |
