I see people bitching about how no one ever eats the 'healthy' (I don't think anything that repulsive can possibly be good for you) school lunches too often around here. Y'know why no one eats them? Because they're worse than the cooking of my grandmother, the only woman I've ever met who has burned spaghetti and made pancakes that fall apart without touching them (just in case you needed an idea of how bad this comparison was). Other than that... - Screw notes. If someone can pass the tests and handle the assignments without taking notes, don't fuck them over by grading their notes. I was getting D's and C's for my entire Biology semester in 10th grade almost entirely because my notes were horribly disorganized and often completely missing. And the exam? I got a perfect score. So yeah, I guess you can understand why I hate notes. - Laptops for each student (only one is provided, however; being realistic, this is expensive enough a suggestion as is). That way, the student can have all their classwork in one place and easily work on it at any time. Teachers would have to be actively paying attention, however, so as to make sure the students aren't playing games on their computer if they aren't done working. - GET RID OF THOSE GOD DAMNED STANDARDIZED FUCKING TESTS! Leave it to the teachers to determine what should be taught and therefore what should be tested. Normally, I wouldn't call this a good idea, but see next example... - Better teachers. Teachers who care more about teaching, who care more about the students, who are far more qualified than most of what we have now, and who pay attention in class like they so often nag others to do. |

Well, Zem, name one noticeable new thing Microsoft's trying with the Xbox 360. I don't exactly think 'innovative' is a good word to describe it. I am going to be getting them eventually, but it seems like Xbox 360 and PS3 aren't offering much in the way of new things so much as they're upgrading what we already have.
You should've knocked him over the head (preferably with an NES or Atari controller) the second he used graphics as an excuse. I hate people like that. |

I work at Sheetz (gas station/convenience store) as a Facilities person. Facilities people clean the floors, shelves, and gas pumps, take out the trash, stock the cooler and shelves, and since we're the only ones not behind a counter all the time we also have to deal with the moronic customers that can't find the clearly-labelled bathrooms.
But since they're screwing me over on my hours (12 a week? What the fuck!? I used to be getting 30!), I'm gonna have to start looking for a new/second job. |

Eh, sorry, sort of a difficult few days. =/
But yeah, I am kinda curious as to what's so 'innovative' about the 360. The fact that it's not COMPLETELY backwards-compatible? That is kinda unique; usually they are or they aren't. (edited by Tamarin Calanis on 11-22-05 04:30 PM) |

The high school I went to had its useless site as the homepage, and used IE on Win98, WinME, or WinXP, depending on where you were at (ME in library, 98 in classrooms, XP in computer lab IIRC) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

World 7 sucks in SMB3.
|
But then, world 7 in SMB is just previous levels repeated with more enemies in SMB. And world 7 in SMB2 only has two levels. Seems Nintendo ran out of ideas in world 7. SMB3 was definitely my favorite of the three, and will probably win my vote in every poll until you add Yoshi's Island. (restricted) |

Thankful for my family - wait, we're about as distant as people living in the same house can get. Okay, so my videogames and computer - wait, I bought those myself. Hm, well, maybe my job- wait, they're screwing me over on hours lately. My cats, wait, no, they keep me up at night. My dogs, hold on, I don't even like dogs.
|
So... not a damn thing. =/

What I want is irrelevant.
|
What I will get: - Clothes - A few more clothes - Maybe a few dollars, but not from my parents. Ah well. Not like Christmas is an important day to me anyway. Just a day off from school when I went, and a day of extra pay at work now. |
