Oh, girls burp _¬...

I get the hiccups rarely.. but when I get them I try to keep them for as long as possible because they make me laugh. Alot.

But if you want them gone, holding your breath and drinking something at the same time works extremely well. I've had to do this before I sang in front of people before... cause I get nervous hiccups..

Well someone very close to me failed at attempting suicide, and after she initially did it before her hospital visit... she just wanted to live very very badly. It's a basic human instinct to survive, to live.. to see another day. You might think you want to kill yourself, but when you're almost there... I don't think anyone at the bottom of their soul really wants to die. They just want to feel loved. If you stick around long enough, it just might happen.

Clinical depression, I know that. If it's a chemical imbalance, more likely than not, it can be treated. But what I've noticed, is that alot of people don't like to admit that they have a problem. They deal with mental disorders as something that's "too messy" to deal with. My close friend didn't want to get help, and still hasn't.

I think that if they take a step back to look at the big picture, suicide isn't the only answer. Suicide I think is an equation of loneliness, being bored with the life you lead and meaninglessness. I think if the person stepped back and examined these three things, and changed any one of them... the other two would follow suit.

But alot of people, not just suicidal ones.. don't really step back and take a look at the big picture. When you die you only have your soul. And if we do live on at the end of life, then just stick it out here on earth and see where it takes you. Suicide is not the only answer.

Honestly.

I want to be a musician
a comedian
a doctor (and join doctors without borders so I can help people everywhere who can't afford decent healthcare)
a politician
a bride
in love
a mother
and a grandmother.

If I accomplish any of these things I'll be a success.
I'm not really an overacheiver, I just set alot of goals.. so if I even make one.. I'm good.

Things I want to accomplish before I die.. not jobwise..
visiting antarctica
living in australia or new zealand
learn how to surf.. for serious
be in romeo-and-juliet minus the suicide love
leave my mark on the world somehow.

Of course my friends are going to be like "OMG!11!! yoU roXoRs!".. but I need serious citicism of some form on my music.

To listen to it.. just go to:
http://www.myspace.com/subliminalmess

It's recorded on my crappy crappy computer microphone, not mixed.. it's just me and a guitar. Well the last song is me, a friend and a guitar.. very bordishly.

I just got a REAL recording setup going on.. so hopefully soon it won't be crap sound.

But other than the sound quality, critique on the music is much needed.
Thanks [=

Okay here we go, the question of my life.

I met a boy online over a year ago. Since then we've talked every single night on the phone for, on average.. say 8 hours a night. Most likely, more. We never tire of each other, we know that in the end when we're older.. we'll be together. And above all else, we know we're truly meant for each other. I must stress that as I get into the next couple of paragraphs.

He lives in Vegas, I live in New York City. And it gets so lonely. And I'm so sure that we're going to end up together in the end... that I don't even feel guilty hooking up with other people now. He knows I hooked up with a boy in the summer, and he didn't really seem to mind.. so I took it as it was accepted. Like, it's okay as long as it doesn't develop into anything serious... which I honestly don't plan on. I don't think I'd be too jealous if he was messing around with girls... because I know again... in the end it's going to end up being us.

Like if you meet your soul mate... you can't possibly mess it up.

Is this wrong?

You know what happens when I violate federal law?

I get thrown in prison.

Bush is most likely going to argue that the limits places on his power are unconstitutional, which I wouldn't put past him. His administration changed the definition of "cruel and unjust punishment", so people who are just being questioned and held liable for no real crimes could endure a new kind of interrogation.

It's just one abuse of power after another. The most recent scandal, people are starting to notice that maybe he's taking it a bit too far.

I noticed with Iraq. Pre-emptive war? What was that? Was their any reason we had to strike immediatly without proper warning? It's not like they were posing a direct threat.. they may have had weapons. What was the rush? Thousands upon thousands have died because they might have had weapons? That's a little rash.

And if he has nothing to hide, why is he so taken aback by investigations? I'm pretty sure every president has had to endure investigations at one time or another, it's the way democracy works. Checks and balances, we have to make sure that you're doing what is clearly defined as your job and NOTHING ELSE. Violating federal law is something else. It's when people stop investigating the government.. that when things will get very out of hand.

There was a law previous to the patriot act that states that you can't wire-tap without a mandate from the courts, no matter who you are.

If that is so, many acts justified by the Patriot Act are illegal following previous laws.

Posted on 12-31-05 03:28 PM, in Do you believe that science goes against religion? Link
The bible is a book of metaphors. You use it to live your life as a good person, and that's where it should end. People thousands of years ago who wrote it still thought that flies spontaneously generated from dead meat. The old testament is stating the belief in one true god, over and over.. and that he is magnificant and can do many great things. The new testament in the story of jesus's life, and how he wants us to live our lives.

Nothing scientific about anything can be taken from the bible. Beliefs can. I'm not christian, and I have a wide spread concrete set of beliefs about the afterlife. In no way am I saying that it is silly to believe what's in the bible, because it's not. All religions are different paths to the same ending. And we all think we know the ending, but we don't. Life is a cliffhanger.

As for science, it's another way of explaining what goes on around us. The only difference is that they have reasearched long and hard and drew conclusions from it. They have even revoked theories when they were proven wrong! The bible can't prove itself wrong, it can't evolve, think, breathe or be changed. I'm not saying that it wasn't changed in the middle ages to justify everything, but now it can't be changed. It's like set in stone, and not going anywhere. Science evolves and corrects itself, religion does not.

And it's impossible for them to go against each other because they examine different realms. Religion examines the spiritual realm.. and science examines the secular one.

Are you serious?

When someone violates federal law, steps need to be taken.
If anyone, not just the presient, does something not clearly defined as their job they get fired.

If you're a chemistry teacher.. and you're teaching history.. you're going to be fired.

It's a simple concept.

But we're talking about the president of the united states. To be a democracy means to follow the beliefs of the people embodied in the laws of the constitution, and all the laws passed by congress. What kind of example is the president of the united states, the figurehead of the free world, setting for everyone else? That you don't have to do your job? That violating federal law is okay? Complete unquestioned obediance to a leader is acceptable? Democracy is supposed to be open to change and to investigation.. it's supposed to be the form of government where people aren't afraid to say "Hey, you're abusing your powers!".. that's the whole basis of the foundation of this country. It's being shattered, and I'm getting very frightened about what the future holds.

If you haven't been following what's been going on keep out of this forum.

Blind patriotism is exactly what is the problem here. You don't know what's going on, you don't even know how he's abusing his powers and harming actual people, and you're blindly following him everyday.

In a democracy, and I'll say it again, you're not supposed to be afraid to say "Hey, you did something unjust and against the will of the people!"... He's violated international and federal law. He is a WAR CRIMINAL. It's time to face the consequences, and one of them is impeachment.

This article involved no research. It's not a news article... it's a bash bash bash-fest.

When I read neo-conservative articles, they always look like a bash bash bash-fest to me. While nuetral or "Liberal" biased papers.. seem to be based around facts and.. what really happened.

This article is trash... and whoever wrote it should be forced to read nuetral news sources for the rest of their days on earth and form their own opinions on what's happening instead of confining themselves to an obnoxious subculture where there'e only one pattern of thought allowed.

Not sure if they all came out in 2005, but these are my 2005 albums.

1. Falloutboy - From Under The Cork Tree

This is my summer of 2005 album.. and probably everyone elses. It describes my whole summer, in full detail. I can't even explain it if I tried.

2. Mesmerize/Hypnotize - System of A Down

His vocals are more cracked out than ever.. and I'm loving it. His vocals are like.. Frank Zappa-ish in some of the songs. I think it's so different.. and just.. amazing.

3. Motion City Soundtrack - Commit this to memory

Such an overlooked album.... but it's absolutely amazing. It makes me want to dance my pants off.

4. The Mars Volta - Frances The Mute

Do I really need to say anything? Ah-mazing.

5. Rasputina - Cabin Fever/Frustration Plantation/Thanks for the Ether/How We Quit The Forest/A radical recital

Yes, I discovered the amazingness of Rasputina this year. I've gotten all of their CD's and Melora Creager is my personal goddess. No, none of these came out in 2005 EXCEPT for their Live Album "a Radical Recital".. so that's why it's included. Melora Creager is even my avatar.. woohoo.

6. The Shins - Think it's self titled?

Yeah, amazing. It's mellow and dancy and uplifting. The lyrics are very random too. Like he just splattered words over a song... I love it.

7. From First To Last - Dear Diary, My Teenage Agnst Has A Body Count.

Sonny's vocals are amazing. The breakdowns are ugh.. make me want to dance in 10 different ways. Amazing album.

8. Weezer - Make Believe

All the songs except for "Beverly Hills" are amazing. I'll always have a place in my heart for Weezer.

9. Death Cab For Cutie - Plans

Amazing album. From the first song to the last.

10. Blink-182... Self-Titled

This definatly isn't 2005.. but this has been the album of my last three years.. including 2005. The last songs make me cry every single time.. starting from "always" to the end. I love this album though... it's effing AMAZING.

Yeah, commentary = not so good.
Those are my albums of 2005 though.

I can't get a white background working in my layout.

Pretty pathetic.

*The "s mean the < and > tags..

I tried "body bgcolor=#FFFFFF", "body background=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v509/xsadbutruex/white.gif".. and putting the URL in the box specified... nothing is working.

What is going on here?

Well I dated this one boy for four years before this one... and in the end he ended up cheating on me and treating me terribly. Through the whole thing I thought, "If he just told me, I don't think I'd be half as mad". That's kind of the logic I'm using in this situation.. and he doesn't seem to be that mad either.

The distance is another factor in this situation, I mean we see each other next to never. But he is me.. in guy form. And we've been this close for over a year.. I just know that in the end it's going to be us.. which is why not it doesn't feel that wrong for us to kind of be with other people.

I feel fine with this whole situation, which is kind of weird to me. Given this situation I always thought I'd self-destruct or something along those lines.. but I'm fine.. and it works.

Just do you think like down the road it could kind of like.. cause a rift between us? That's the only thing I'm really scared of. Like, yeah he knows and he says he's fine with it.. and sometimes he tells me about girls and stuff.. and really, I don't care when I hear about them.. for serious. I'm not a jealous individual.. and as far as I know, he isn't either.

It's a sticky situation. Do you think given time things can get all funked up?

Um. I'm 16. My first boyfriend was Sal in the 4th grade for like a month. I went out with John from 5th grade until the beginning of my freshman year, he ended up cheating on me and whatever. Went out with Greg throughout my whole freshman year into the beginning of sophomore year.. and he was cheating on me the whole time. One of the times when John went out with me, I went out with this boy matt for like 5 days in the 7th grade. My first kiss was with a boy on the back of a schoolbus in the 8th grade, named Anthony, and we went out for two weeks.. when I found out that John was cheating on me, before I went back out with him . Then there was Alex for two months when I transferred schools after I broke up with Greg. And now this whole last year I've been in a long-distance relationship with Austin.

So that's um.. 7.

And I don't plan on any more.

My favorite poem is "Dream within a Dream" by Edgar Allen Poe

Take this kiss upon the brow!
And, in parting from you now,
Thus much let me avow-
You are not wrong, who deem
That my days have been a dream;
Yet if hope has flown away
In a night, or in a day,
In a vision, or in none,
Is it therefore the less gone?
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream.

I stand amid the roar
Of a surf-tormented shore,
And I hold within my hand
Grains of the golden sand-
How few! yet how they creep
Through my fingers to the deep,
While I weep- while I weep!
O God! can I not grasp
Them with a tighter clasp?
O God! can I not save
One from the pitiless wave?
Is all that we see or seem
But a dream within a dream?

------------------------------------------

I write poetry.. and I guess I'll share one.

assimilated within dreams and living within lucidity
hallways morphed within glass portraits hung lopsided
in contrast to the floors
a swelling sensation surrounding a stairwell
and steps decline as people breathe
out airy possibilities
the storm caught my attention
high winds and friction molded around the math lesson
and later as i walked in the rain and was
drenched by azure fraught raindrops welded within neglect
i smiled as i entered your warmth
a maze of roads and troubled storms
azelia's crept up the pavement and the clouds tore holes in the sky
where light could shine on all the germs
all the lost souls and the hopeless romantics
all the loved ghosts and schitzophrenics
all could melt in the moment
i witnessed the sacred rite
of evaporation.

Too serious= sex. And I don't plan on doing that.. like for a long ass time with said person in Nevada. Maybe I'll wait till I'm married even.

That's the thing like, I'm not a slut or anything. Neither is he really. It's just, open and carefree right now.. we both know about each others things... and I guess we're just not jealous.

I hope this post made sense. It's after new years and I'm burnt. Oh goody,... goody night.
