King’s Cross was a hubbub of folk as usual, but it seemed a bit more crowded than it usually is at this time in the morning. There were more trunks being lugged around than was common, but the anonymous mass of commuters passed it off as merely a rush of boarding school children off to their first semester of classes. The massive amount of owls that accompanied the trunks, however, struck them as slightly odd on the scale of weird. A new fad perhaps. Or perhaps owls were found to be better at getting rid of mice than cats are. Even so, there were a handful of cats roaming around as well.

Twister noticed this, but then again he was just relating as he had an owl himself. However, he didn’t quite understand how Zap, his traveling companion, convinced him to get one. In fact, he wasn’t quite sure what he was doing in the heart of the England … home of tea and football and not the home of toothbrushes. Both boys stood aside of the moving traffic and both had been lugging around huge suitcases full of the oddest list of things. But the things surpassed the list in weirdness.

Twister: So Zap, what are we doing here again?

Zap pulled the headphones off of his ears and hung them around his neck.

Zap: Say again?

Twister was losing a bit of his patience during the downtime of … doing nothing.

Twister: *a bit louder* WHAT are we doing here? And WHAT are we waiting for?

Zap remained cool. He happened to actually have a problem with worrying. Even if he wanted to, he couldn’t worry. The young boy adjusted his glasses and flipped his hair out of his eyes. Admittedly, both he and Twister had some pretty roguish long hair. Twister’s hair was in dreadlocks though.

Zap: We’re going to school.

Twister: Yeah, I know that much. Some whacky school for “witchcraft and wizardry.”

Zap: That’s right. I got a scholarship, so we’re going.

From one of the trunks came a muffled voice.

???: I got a scholarship, too.

Twister: Shut up, Bear! *places his foot on top of the trunk* Your not supposed to be out or heard in public.

???: Just ‘cause you didn’t g--

Twister: But wait, why are we not “getting” on the train to “go” to this stupid school?

Zap: ‘Cause I’m still looking for the platform.

Twister: *looks around* Shouldn’t it be clearly marked?

Zap: *flips his hair out of his eyes* Unless you can spot a “Platform Nine and Three Quarters” … no.

Twister scrutinized the area around him for the first time since they arrived at the station. To his right was platform nine … and to the left was ten.

Twister: So, you figure somewhere between these two?

Zap: Yeah.

Twister: … trippy.

Zap had been dealing with the three quarters business in his mind since he was notified of the platform number a while back. But he eventually decided that observation was the key to solving the riddle. After all, they wouldn’t be the only ones going to school on this train. He was pretty sure every student had to take it. But so far, he’d missed something … and then he saw it. He had just missed a pair of twins … disappearing at a barrier. Pretty clever. No unconcerned bystanders would ever take enough notice to actually notice the sudden disappearances of such students. Especially with the rest of their day ahead of them.

Zap notified Twister of what the trick was and both positioned themselves in front of the barrier. Done in a nonchalant fashion, but inconspicuous was hard to pull off with an owl and two trunks. Still, no one seemed to notice this, and again, no one seemed to notice their sudden disappearance through the barrier to the mysterious platform nine and three quarters.

As it turned out, someone did. Sukasa. He'd actually been at the station to catch a train to Heathrow Airport to catch a flight back, but being an impulsive person, Sukasa instead decided to have a look at the wall, after all- It's not often people just fly through walls. Sukasa figured that since his train wasn't due for two hours, it wouldn't hurt to check the wall out. Pocketing his ticket, Sukasa, dressed in casual tan cotton shorts and an unmarked sky blue T-shirt, walked towards the pillar. Getting there, Sukasa ran his hand along the pillar, or at least tried to. Placing his hand against the pillar, Sukasa was more than a little surprised when his hand fell though the 'solid' brick wall. Regaining his composure, Sukasa looked around - he couldn't see anyone else watching - Sukasa ducked through the false wall.

A concoction was brewing inside a duct taped cauldren...

Somewhere... In a random city in Europe.... A few days ago...

Kirby: Alright... It should be just about ready.. What's this? Why is it yellow? I don't recall..

Dingpot: Um... I forgot to mention.. Something kind of flew inside...

The talking cauldren sent a chill down Kirby's spine. His transformation potion seemed to have become a failure and he didn't know what the reason was. It didn't bother him too much, however.

The room Kirby stood in was rather untidy. Books, papers, test tubes, and random articles of clothing were strewn everywhere. A gentle breeze whispered through the slightly opened window near the cauldren. The blue cap wearing lad steps over to the window and peers through the glass.

He had the town house for a long time, but he never ventured out. He doesn't even know who the neighbors are, even the one that's on the other side of the wall. Unfortunately, Kirby's random thoughts were halted when the cauldren let out a burp.

Kirby: ... Dingpot? Are you..

-------------------------------------------

At King's Cross Station....

A boy, donned in blue garb, sat on a bench, staring at the great train before him. It didn't even bother him that his blue bandana, blue jacket and the rest of his attire seemed a bit out of place. But he didn't care. He was quite lost in his thoughts, trying to collect what he could. A blue owl sat on his head, and tried to comfort the spikey headed lad.

Coo: Don't fret, old boy. I'm sure it was for the best. You'll have a smashing time at Hogwarts.

Kirby: .. But.. How did they find me so fast? How did they know I was already... Ten years old?

The boy let out a sigh as he slouched back in his seat. The crowd before him slowly grew as more people found their way onto platform nine and three quarters. People of all ages and sizes cheerfully walked across the platform while they shared stories, marveled at the train, or flinched as their mothers tried to spit clean something off of their faces.

It was another world he stepped into and it was going to take some time getting used to it. He felt out of place at the moment. The recent developments in his life had shook his entire foundation.

‘A wizard...I still can’t believe it’, he thought.

His thoughts. His views. His perspective of certain things had changed. A calm demeanor betrayed his inner turmoil.

“I am Francis Crowe and I am a wizard”, he said in a whisper.

Francis wore a long sleeve black shirt that matched the boots he wore in color. In keeping with the dark tones of his attire he had dark blue, almost black, jeans. He ran a hand through his silverish hair, using his light azure eyes to scan the immediate area. A strange sight indeed it was. All sorts of people carrying, dragging or pushing luggage of all sizes. Every so often an owl in its cage with its owner walked by.

“Ugh, Owls, dreadful creatures. Isn’t that right Orion?” said Francis as he picked up his snow white Persian cat. It was almost time for the train to arrive and Francis certainly did not want to be forced to share a compartment with, for lack of a better word, losers. He began to walk towards an empty bench, dragging his luggage behind him while carefully keeping Orion safely in his arms.

‘The moment I step on that train my life changes. Hopefully it will change for the best’ he thought to himself.

"I wonder how powerful these wizards are..."

As the young boy pulled around his luggage and his pet owl Holic, he found platform 8. He treaded past platform 9 and then he found platform 10, followed by platform 11. He paused for a second and tilted his head in confusion. A platform seemed... missing.

Wondering where he should go, he happened to notice other kids with their own luggage and pets back between the two platforms. He wondered how he missed them before. He turned his luggage and bumped into a passerby, making him fall back onto his luggage and accidentaly unzip a bag. A slip of paper fell out.

The passerby picked up the paper and helped the child up.
"You alright, uh..." He looked at the paper. "...Melo Tryan?"

Melo's eyes widened as he snatched the paper back. "Don't look at that!"

He then grabbed his luggage and ran off towards the other kids in a frenzy. He did not like letting people read his personal papers, especially on things that involved fan fiction about video games.

Melo was a technological freak, liking anything involving video games. While he knew the school he was going to wouldn't really have much electronic for being a wizardry school, he was kind of estatic that he was invited to attend. He didn't have much of a home as he lived with a rich relative after the lost of his parents when he was only four. Instead of being snobby like his grandfather, he grew up enjoying being by himself learning new things and playing video games. Melo hopes that one day he can return and his parents have been found, but the odds of that happening are slim to none.

The ten year old has quite the imagination. That's what happens when you mix NIS games and a healthy dose (if that exists) of Anime. He enjoys the technological aspect of Anime with all the crazy robot fighting but he also enjoys the magical aspects of a good strategy RPG. Milo would just love to learn magic to one day be a magic-wielding robot pilot... once he can get the robot finished.

But he wasn't concerned with his robot just yet. After recieving a notice in the mail stating that he was accepted to a school for wizardry, he just had to go. He packed his laptop and some games, told his grandfather he was heading off to a nice school, although he knew his grandfather did not care, and took some of his money for his supplies and airfare.

Now stuck between two train platforms, Melo stood there with about a thousand to two thousand American dollars worth of electronics and supplies. He was... being paranoid. Then again, he saw one of the kids run into a pillar and disappear, so he figured that this had to be the start of a magical adventure. He ran forward with no hesitation and went into the pillar without any problems. He reached his first destination of his magical quest for... well, magic.

Kirby: Coo, remember. Stay quiet. A talking owl isn't something that's normal.

Coo: Hoot. Hoot, I say.

More children and adults were appearing on Platform Nine and Three Quarters. Wands were being waved around, and sparks were flying into the air. Kirby was not really paying much attention to any of the conversations. He was still caught up in his memories.

-----------------------------

He turned around and slowly inched towards the bubbling pot. Before he realized it, Kirby was laid out on the floor, covered in yellow goo. The entire room was decimated by an explosion of the failure that once simmered inside of the cauldren. Everything was drenched, from furniture to walls.

Kirby wiped the gunk off of his clothes. He searched for his cap, which was knocked off when he was gooped. He placed the cap on his head, and immediately realized something was wrong.

" ... It's big. Why is it big?"

Kirby gazed out the window. He immediately lets out a shriek.

"EEYAAAAAAH! I'm a kid! Dingpot! What did you do?"

"You were the one that made the potion."

A short stout figure, standing a perfect three feet, held its white cloak closer as it hobbled along the rapidly crowding station platform. It mattered not whether or not what it concealed was a child, for it could have very easily have passed for one. While it was glaringly obvious that the wrappings had been hemmed, a single red triangle sat sideways near the bottom, with hurried stitches immediately above it.

It slumped down on a bench, taking a novel-sized book out of inside and began skimming through it. Its head would bob up and down every few seconds, trying to make sense of the incantations (without much success) that various people were showing each other.

Most children traded Magic cards. Most teenagers showed each other their popularity. Most adults swapped tales of glory and gossip. But people were putting on live magic shows up in front, and that made the figure rock back and forth in its seat with glee. It'd been a long, long time since it had seen anything of that calibur, much less used in so many manners! It was sure to put this time to good use, both to get a better understanding of the arcane and possibly show the magic majority some tricks of its own.

A man walked up with a large duffelbag slumped over his shoulder. "Excuse me, can I sit he..."

The bench's current occupant looked up, a pair of beady eyes staring out of the darkness inside of the cloak.

"...actually, that's okay, there's some seats over there..."

It sadly let out a wheeze.

The train was on its way. The iron horse wasn’t like any modern train for it was reminiscent of westward expansion and the industrial revolution. Steam filled the station as the train hit the tracks and mulled to a stop in front of the impatient students of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Once to a full stop, the ticket collectors step off of the train to welcome those who were crowding to get on.

Zap and Twister had past experiences with such mobs and decided to take a seat on an open park bench until everything settled down.

Zap: Hmm … Teddylot’s been kinda quiet. He might’ve run out of oxygen.

Twister: I hope he died.

Zap unlocked his trunk and opened it to find that it was full … of the stuff he had bought in Diagon Alley. Teddylot was nowhere to be found.

Zap: Hmm … he escaped.

Twister: BREAK OUT THE NETS!!! We’re going on a bear hunt.

Zap: We’re gonna catch a small one.

Twister: We're not scared.

Zap: Uh oh … it’s a train.

Twister: We can’t go over it. We can’t go under it. We can’t go around it.

Zap: We must go inside it.

Kirby rubbed his stomach. Hunger was starting to set in.

Kirby: I hope they have food on the train..

He noticed people started to amass around the front of the train. Not wanting to be late to boarding the train, the boy started gathering his items. He gave out a bit of a sigh as his blue cap started to annoy him, since it was several sizes too big.

----------------------------

"That's right. And I could just make something to revert it. ... Um... if... I could only remember... Wait a minute... I... can't remember... Oh no... I.. I lost time and my memories?!"

"Looks like you lost just a little bit of both.."

"Argh! What am I gonna do? "

And with a stroke of luck, a letter crashed through the window. Kirby quickly turned his head to see what the commotion was about and was hit in the face by the same letter. He quickly ran up to the sill and looks outside. Nothing out of the ordinary except for an owl.

"Great, now what?" Sukasa, caught up in the crowd (And still not even knowing where he was), was jostled along by the hordes of kids a few years younger than him practically blasting towards the incoming train. As the crowd moved towards the train, Sukasa was bumped into a boy wearing a Blue cap, one that was several sizes too big.

"Oh, sorry. I kinda got bumped into you from behind. Say, do you even know where this is? One minute I'm waiting for my train, the next I'm here," Said Sukasa," not mentioning the fact that he had fooled around with the wall and that was why he was here.

"Train is here. Cool."

Melo grabbed his luggage and got into the crowd of people. Sure, crowds of people would be... crowded, but he was used to it when his grandfather invited everyone he wanted to his mansion for parties. Melo didn't like the parties, but he had to get through the crowds to get the food. He liked the food.

In fact, even with the vast amount of money that his grandfather had, Melo preferred not to take the money and buy whatever he wanted that was expensive. He only asked for a mere $20 a month so he could get a game after he beat another one. He bought simple clothes such as normal t-shirts and jeans, despite his grandfather highly disapproving of such outfits. Melo just... used the money to get things that he felt would be sensible. He didn't abuse money to show off that he had it. He wasn't that selfish.

On the train, he went down a few cars until he found a room that was empty. Good. He didn't know anyone and he did not like to explain his story. He felt as though people would assume he was a rich snob...

...well, that and he was a bit shy...
Sitting down, he kept his luggage under his seat and kept his owl to his side. Hopefully nobody decided to stay with him... or did he hope that someone would want to come in?

And with that the car door crashed open again and the wispy figure marched straight in, turning to the left seat and very quickly finding it occupied. It hopped back against the wall with a yelp.

"O-o-oh, did I... uhh..." the voice was definately that of a female. "Are these seats saved? It's, er, no problem, the first five cars are... stuffed? But I'm sure there's... more room further b-back, I guess I can keep looking unless..."

She pressed her sleeves together, obviously fidgeting with her hands.

Kirby momentarily looked at Coo with a puzzled look.

Coo: Hoot, I say.

Kirby looked at Sukasa with a nervous demeanor. Thoughts quickly ran through his head, trying to assess the situation. "That would mean.. this is a moogle that somehow got swept in here.. Okay, remember.. sound like a ten year old..."

Kirby: Um.. This is for a private school, stranga. I think you should speak to an important looking grownup for some help. Um.. I really gotta get onto the train right now.. so bye bye.

Not a stranger to human behavior Francis knew quite well that once the train arrived there would be a rush to get inside. Impatient as he was to be sitting down and waiting, at the slightest inkling of the train’s arrival he stood up

“Well, Orion, I think we should wait closer to where the train may arrive. Being surrounded by people isn’t my idea of a comfortable moment” said Francis as he walked away from the bench

By luck or fate, the express train arrived shortly after Francis left the comfort of the bench. Being that he was one of the kids closest to the train he was in a fine position to obtain what he desired...an empty compartment

‘I rather not share a room with some of these kids. Most of them look like rejects from society while others just look shady’

As he entered the train he moved quickly to find an empty compartment. It was no hard task considering the amount of people on the train at the moment. While moving quickly he spotted a compartment that met his requirements. After putting away his luggage Francis decided to pass the time reading. The book he took out had seen better days. It was worn out. The black cover, which had no title, was battered and torn.

“Ah yes, for a moment I lost my place. My memory is already failing at me at such a young age”, he said with a smirk.

From the moment Francis opened his book he was forever lost in his mind. He could only be disturbed by sudden arrivals, which would come eventually.

It was Kirby's turn to board the train....

Conductor: Show me y'ur ticket!

Kirby started looking inside of his jacket. He then checked his jean pockets. The conductor's twisted around, forming an impatient face.

A smile ran across Kirby's face as he pulled out a piece of paper. He held it up for man towering above him to see, causing a brow to twitch on the conductor.

Conductor: What're y'tryin' to pull 'ere, ah? We don't take any funny papers like these.

Kirby: Really! I did get the letter. I made tons of xerox copies so that I'd make sure I have one. There's no way I could've forged this. Look! It's even got a moving seal, see?

Kirby holds up the copied piece of paper. A stamp in the shape of a seal is seen moving around on the paper.

Conductor: Ah! So ye went to the copy shop, ah? Seen a fewa these, yes.. Alright, hop on. Can't blame ye for wanting to treasure that wonderful letter.

Kirby let out a sigh of relief, only to have his spirits dampened at the fact that his cap was blown off by the wind. The cap didn't fit snuggly on his head due to the fact that it didn't shrink with his clothes. Unfortunately for the now capless lad, the train officials wouldn't let him get off since he was backing up traffic.

Kirby: *sighs* Not fair...

The cap was eventually picked up by a girl, who clenched the hat hard....

As Sukasa stood on the platform, He was bumped into by a crowd of boys, most of whom looked like they were in quite a rush. As the boys slid past, one of them dropped his ticket without noticing it. Sukasa, however, did. Bending down, Sukasa picked up the ticket, and tried to get the attention of the boy who'd lost his ticket. However, that boy presented the Conductor of the train with another ticket, confusing Sukasa and prompting him to look at the ticket.

It had his name on it.

Kirby stumbled through the crowded halls of the train. He's never seen so many young people aboard a train at once. It was like something from a dream. He entered a car that has several cabins with open doors.

One cabin is empty, another has someone who seems to be paying attention to a bag, and another had someone staring out the window. Kirby decided to use an ancient technique in figuring out where he should go.

Kirby: Eeny... meeny... miny... moe...

--------------------

The blue cap was kept nicely warm within the grasp of the girl. She had a rather stern look on her dark blue-violet face, almost as if she was looking for something. A glowing creature, appearing to be a tiny dragon but with a lower body that turns into swirls, circles around the girl.

"Are you really sure you should be doing this?", said the creature.

"Of course", replied the girl. "I must find out how to fix this. I don't want to go through life again like this."

The boarding line shifted a bit. The girl grabbed her luggage and took a few steps forward. She brushed her free hand against her head, moving her shining red bangs out of her view. Not only did her skin and hair color help her stand out of the crowd, but so did her clothes, not to mention her pointed ears. She was wearing a blue sweater with a hood, a pair of green pants, and a pair of brown sandals. All of her clothes look like they have not been worn in years.

Amidst the hustle and bustle of the train platform glided a solitary figure, towing a rather small luggage case behind him. The red and white robed character was rather short in stature, barely surpassing three and a half feet in height, and barely the same proportion in weight.

On the right shoulder of the figure sat a six inch, round, sky blue figure with big round eyes, stubby little arms, and equally bulgy feet. The creature looked up at the face of his carrier.

Creature: "Keeent! Are we theeeeeere yet..." he complained in a slightly squeaky voice. Kent merely looked back down at him with large eyes that seemed to do all of the talking for him. The figure nodded.

"Fine, I know what you'd say. 'Zaros, you complain too much'." Zaros said with a mock frown. "Just hurry up and get your ticket out already!"

Kent smiled and shook his head. Digging through one of his pockets, he came upon a small golden ticket with various designs and information stamps upon it. He grasped it tightly in his hand as he approached the train conductor.

The conductor stooped down to punch the golden article and tipped his hat to Kent, bidding him a safe ride. Kent began an attempt to climb aboard the train, but stopped. He looked at Zaros, who nodded and looked up at the conductor

"Hey, can you give us a leg up? We're a little short on hands, no pun intended." Zaros called up to the conductor.

The conductor spun around and looked down at Zaros, who was waving his little hands with a grin on his face. Kent was also smiling, sheepishly though.

The conductor laughed.
"What eh' curious little creature...". He lifted the small luggage bag that Kent was carrying up onto the platform, and then in another movement, hoisted Kent up to the train as well.

"Enjoy yeh' ride." The conductor called. "Interesting little fella'. Though, he never spoke eh' word to me."

Kent attempted to weave his way through the cramped quarters of the train in order to find a suitable cabin for him to stay in. This may have proved difficult, however Zaros in all his loudmouth glory gained enough attention to clear a path between the sea of robes and luggage. Kent squeezed his way into an empty compartment and shut the door, thankful for the quiet.

Zaros hopped from his companion's shoulder and landed on top of a nearby seat, reclining. Kent pulled himself up to the same seat and closed his eyes, as the hustle and bustle continued outside his cabin door.

Busy, busy, busy. It was always busy this time of year at Hogwarts. All the newer teachers seemed to be struggling to get last things for their classes ready, while the older teachers seemed to have everything done!

One of the newest teachers Christoph Craven was one of the few still getting ready.

"Oh bother, I still have so much to do." said Christoph while rummaging around what would be his classroom for the year. "I still have locks to enchant, artifacts to store, and those enchanted teacups still have not arrived."

You see, Christoph Craven took the job as 'The study of magical artifacts' this year and with the stories that the teachers have told him about the Weasley twins he will have to be positive that the items are protected. After all the last thing they need is a book that turns anyone who reads it into a tea-cup.

"However all my hard work will be worth it in the end, when I get to study the legendary Gryffindor sword." said Christoph as he was enchanting what looked like a normal padlock "Still I am amazed that Dumbledore requested that I teach here while studying it. I mean this is the most elite school for witchcraft and wizardry there is."

His mid-length brown hair flying through the air as he sped from one part of the room to another to have everything perfect for when the students arrived. Posters soon coved the room displaying warnings and information about some of the artifacts he will be talking about in his classes. After it looked like he was finished we walked over to the table and picked up what looked like a brown puppy with a light brown stripe down his back.

"I don't know why people say cats make such good listeners" Said Christoph as he scratched the puppy's ear. "you make a great one yourself Leo. Now we better get ready for the welcoming of the students."

"Woof" said Leo as he stuck out his tongue.

Melo was at first scared that someone barged in like that, but then he remembered what he was getting into. Diagon Alley had some strange people as it was and they already went to school for magic... or if they didn't they were just natually weird.

Still, someone was needing a place and he just couldn't refuse. He was just too kind. He offered the room to the person.

"Um... s-sure. Go right a-ahead."

He held his owl closer and sat up. He knew he was going to have to probably... socialize with this person, but he was scared about what it was going to be about. Hopefully nothing too bad...

Paranoia was a bad habit of Melo's. Nothing he could do about it though. It was just... him.

(OOC: This is referring to C`aos' character. )
