Nabooru's Hole. Path to the Boss. More lost than a woman in a car during a snowstorm attempting to read a state map at night. I am not meaning to offend the females. I am hoping for some guidance (seeing as how I keep falling into the hard to find holes but still going to floor B8).

Edit:

MogGuy (For post below): I appreciate and thank you for helping me, however I'm gonna need additional guidance since I have exhausted combination after combination of the holes.

I'm 90% positive that you have to fall down the top left hole. You need to make your way to the lower right to get to the boss.

i'm stuck in ruto's fortress. in the tongue statue room. you can't pull their tongues (i've tried many times), and you can't go back since there was a one way hookshot maze. I still don't know even if I get past this room that i'll be able to get out, I heard you needed the fire rod.

If you're in Ruto's fortress without the firerod and you're not willing to cheat to add one, I'd recommend you just Save and Quit to get out of there (it seems like thats the only way out once you get past a certain point since the book of Mododduuduodurorora won't take you to the real entrance.)

I've gotten 7 tablets and all dungeon items, 6 crystals (can't find the boss of Nabooru's Hole), gotten the mirror, and I'm trying to get up the parallel tower in the light world, but I have a few questions.

1. Where is the last key for the parallel tower? I got the one from the ice beach cave, one from the pyramid area, and i guess 3 from the tower itself. Where am i supposed to find the last one? At least a hint would be appreciated.

2. The "hard optional puzzle" doesnt even make any sense. Am i supposed to exploit some kind of glitch?

3. Where can I find the flute? I've looked up and down in both worlds and there's no sign of it.

4. In the waterfall cave north of Lake Saria, what am i supposed to do? I've tried lighting the torrches but for some reason they won't light with the lamp or the fire rod.

to adezero: you do need the fire rod, since you have to beat Kholdstare to get through Ruto's. I'm not sure how to do spoilers, but the fire rod is a lot easier to get if you get the cape first, which is in a different dungeon entirely.

Has anyone else noticed that when you fight the bss of Saria's Garden, if you exit through the south door, the game crashes? (I'm sure many people have noticed this)

Where do I get the mirror shield?

Edit: I found it. Where is the boss of Nabooru's hole?

i am stuck on the last key for the parallel tower as well. also, to the person who is stuck in the room with the tongues, it is NOT a one way hookshot maze. i got back to the entrance of the room just fine, trust me its possible. (i did it without the pegasus glitch as well)

also, yes, i ALSO noticed that when you leave through the south room of saria's boss then the game crashes. but this is probably just because i posted this earlier.

road: bald yet? that dungeon really is a pain in the ASS. (hence, nabooru's HOLE)

The point is, why let someone enter the dungeon and do a huge amount of statue puzzles that take forever if they're going to have to do them all over again just because at the last second the dungeon requires a fire rod?

Welcome to this hack! Enjoy your stay.

Suggestions:

-Return heart appearances to their normal levels. Forcing people to go through certain dungeons, such the swimming dungeon, without making any mistakes because there's no way to get a second chance is a game balance issue.
-Somehow hack it so the Book of Mudora returns you to the main entrance and not just the latest one you've entered, otherwise the ice fortress seems inescapable. Or let people jump down from the platform with the hole in the bushes on it so they can get back to the overworld.
-There's a door in the Ice Fortress that looks like its closed and yet you can walk right through it, and it is the only way to progress, which probably should be fixed
-Remove the broken candlethings which aren't used, as its confusing people and making them think they need to do light them all when they don't
-Don't let people start a dungeon they can't finish unless there's a way for them to return to close to the point where they left off. If an item is going to be required to finish a dungeon that the player may not have at the time they enter the dungeon, make a puzzle early on in the dungeon that requires it so they know they're not ready for the dungeon yet. Do not just throw in Kholdstare at the very end of a dungeon that doesn't require a fire rod and be like "LOL ENJOY NO FIREROD." True, this makes the "dark world" a lot more linear, but that's why most games cannot be nonlinear. The alternative is to require only a few key items to pass all the dungeons.
-Having to backtrack all the way to random caves in the overworld to get keys for a completely unrelated dungeon=very no. This basically leads to the same problem with the fire rod and ruto's fortress and will just make people give up since it erases all the progress they've made.
-I would say the overall philosophy of the dungeons in the hack should've been changed, but the levels are already made so it's too late for that. There are a few different types of difficulty, two of which are latent difficulty and annoying difficulty. The ideal difficulty is latent difficulty, that prods you to get better gradually as the game goes on. However, the dungeons in this hack mainly substitute in annoying difficulty instead.

And I'm aware that you're not the one responsible for the dungeons. I have basically no problem with the overworld layout, it's very good.

Seems the top-left hole on F2 of Nabooru's Hole IS the hole to reach el Bosso. Again, I suggest vague clues for this dungeon so one can get at least get around without being frustrated for no reason.

Edit: Also, I have defeated the boss for Shiek's Hideout, but I am still missing the Big Chest. What is the path to the chest?

I, too, am missing the big chest in Sheik's Hideout. I also haven't found the big chest in the parallel tower's red path (which, I'm told, exists).

the red path? seriously? you can't find it? simple mistake, i guess. its on the

Spoiler:
very top floor, in the room with the slashable curtain, to get to the mirror, hit the switch and go down instead. there are 2 rows of spikes blocking you in, in one of the rooms, just walk through the ones above you and go up. this will take you to the big chest.

hint: do not skip this item as you will need it later

as for sheik's hideout:

Spoiler:
remember the blueish room with the boss key gate thing? like the gate guarding zelda in the original? that's where you need to go to get to the big chest. if you see mothula you are going the right way, and MAKE ABSOLUTE SURE that you kill vitrex when you see him, because this might be cause for deadly glitch if you dont. (not completely sure as of now) anyway, you can get to the blue area by going in the door on the right at the beginning, warping, go up, left, then up and you should be there. good luck

if you somehow manage to make it to the boss room, and there's NO BOSS, like i did, make sure your not teleporting during a grapple. this will confuse the game as to which floor you are on. this is another thing that needs to be changed.

Wow, I didn't know there was another Big Chest in the Parallel Tower. Now I can get the master sword, but it still doesn't help with all those keys scattered around the world.

yeah, agreed. im extremely frustrated trying to find these keys...

also, to the maker of the overworld map in this game: here are a few places that i'm pretty sure i'm NOT supposed to be able to reach. doing so makes the game crash if i try to go off screen in any direction....

On top of the brown rocky part in the ice fortress area. going to the right causes me to end up on the west side of the map, on the cold beach path. unfortunately i couldn't get inside the house there on the ledge

here i am stuck up on the ledge in the village church area. you can see it's glitched up, but link can still move. going offscreen after this crashes the game. i lost playtime.

Any sane person would know you're not supposed to go there:

Will be fixed in 2.0... For now, try not going there and losing your progress... There's always the REWIND key in zsnes... to go back in time, Prince of Persia style

lol yeah prince of persia style too bad i dont have zsnes. anyway, thats not how i got up there. go up toward the village church, and the part with the anti-sword statues, you can squeeze through the 2 left armos knights and go off screen to the left. then you can explore that area which lead me to the glitched area.

speaking of glitches...here's another one

maybe i just have an awkward playing style...

more lost progress FTW!

Odd that, because in an older version this place was closed down, much like the normal world.

Last version however.. this is now open... weird... anyway I'll just fix them both at a later time.
