I would be indebted to those that give helpful advice (i.e. not "Keep looking, you'll eventually get it.") on how to remember the path to the large chest and boss room. This way, I won't kick myself for not knowing, for sure, the way to the room (I'm a picky fanatic for certain details at times).

sry, there was a small bug in that walkthrough. i corrected that bug maybe now you can understand it better

I finally found the cape. Apparently there was a secret passage I didn't enter and I only found it after beating the eyeball boss after the chest key.

@ Deflaktor: Wow, it's really well made compared to your old one.

Almost reminds me of the complexity of the Water Temple in OoT

I would think you have the book of mudora.

The point is, why let someone enter the dungeon and do a huge amount of statue puzzles that take forever if they're going to have to do them all over again just because at the last second the dungeon requires a fire rod?

In Shiek's Hideout, there was a dark room with the Mysterious Tablet and under one of the skull pots was a button. I pressed it, game slightly paused, and the sound of something being uncovered/unlocked (not a chest appearing) was played. What was it that happened?

To be fair, it's like a screen from that entrance, and once you go through the main of the dungeon the first time you know exactly where to go and much of it you don't need to do. It shouldn't take more than a few minutes to get back to where you were.

In Saria's Garden, where the heck is the second key? I've gotten the fire rod and have been searching everywhere for it, but I can't find the second key, or a way to get to the lower level. There aren't any other doors that I haven't been through, and there doesn't seem to be any way to drop down to the lower level. I spent about an hour going through the dungeon looking for secret cracks in the walls or some sort of clue where the key is, but no such luck.

Well, Euclid, it was a very good hack. I am not going to complete it. I was just inches away, just to be blocked by a locked door. I am missing small keys on the parallel tower, the light world one, and i'm not going to search for them in both worlds. (i used 6 total) Anyway, all in all, i really enjoyed this hack. Well done. Here are a couple things I think you should change:

Spoiler:

-the multiple tower climbs, especially the ice tile room with 4 sets of tiles. that was cruel, and extremely, extremely annoying. make it so all we have to do is kill moldorm to leave the room.

-the guardhouse. the difficulty needs to curve upward being quite easy at the beginning. the guardhouse was the hardest dungeon in the game.
-bugs need to be fixed

-the sword needs to be stronger as you get upgrades, even the master sword is pretty weak, about the same strength as the red one in the original

-the birds need to NOT do so much damage. the birds in the dark world do a whopping FOUR hearts of damage, and its rediculous

-the tunic doesn't affect the damage caused by some enemies

-the night/day thing wasn't too appealing to me, it just made everything harder to see. on that note, there are TOO MANY dark rooms in this game. also, link's sprite appears darker sometimes in dungeons, probably due to the night/day script. seems unprofessional.

-the spin charge does the same damage as a regular slash. this is obviously an error.

-torches in nabooru's hole. also less zappers. people will stop playing right then and there, considering how hard it was to find the big chest.

If you care to tell me where the last (probably 3) small keys are, i would finish this hack. i've collected these keys:

pyramid falls light world
3 parallel tower keys
icy beach cave key dark world
and some other light world key

Thank you for spending the time to make this hack. it was quite enjoyable.

the level design was not tested enough. there are a lot of dungeons like this in this game.

i did the same thing, because if you notice the message slab in link's house in the dark world, it says do ruto's fortress second. so i did, and no fire rod. thanks for the crappy advice, message slab.

Yeah, for some reason I thought I had to follow advice from a message block in Saria's Gardens (And could only find one, which was unrelated).

I wonder why that could be. Why do you think, Yuggom?

(probably because Euclid said so)

What's with these extra keys that I find while I go around the Parallel World? Are they used for anything?

Edit: Oh now I see what they are for, nvm.

1) I think the block at the Triforce Shrine in the Real World says something about that area being the only gate between worlds.

2) I guess you go to GameFAQs, too. Who are you there?

I haven't had much time to play this hack but i just finished the guardhouse and i'm really enjoying myself. I really liked the placement of all the guards and it made exploring the guardhouse without a sword for a while quite fun. The dungeon pretty well designed imo but i believe that the player should never be put in a position where getting hit at all is a requirement. Imo the guards should be taken out of this room.

I tried returning to the room a few times to get different guard placements and i never recieved one that enabled me to maneuver through the room without getting hit atleast once.

The only other thing i thought was very odd, was the heart piece in the dungeon. Not that i think it's so horrible but it seems kind of unprofessional to me.

I think this game is more suited for fans of the original Zelda then LttP, and that might be why some folks have complained about the difficulty.

there's actually a trick to that room, you can bypass all the spikes by just going left and hugging the lower wall. it takes so little time the guards wont even notice you

This is a good hack so far, even though I spent over an hour trying to survive the guardhouse.
