I just wanted to pointed out that the readme states the games difficulty.

I'm in ruto's fortress, trying to get these torches lit so I can go on
I've got the fire rod, but I'm still not doing too well

I do NOT feel like going through every room in it that I can find. Can someone just tell me where they are?

I know there is an item which helps showing the bridges in original Zelda as well as using things like
Bombs, if they don't disappear/fall down after placing, there is a way. But what is the "real" solution to find the bridge without wasting ten bombs or even more ?"

Also the Armos fight takes way longer than the actual boss fight
Spoiler:

just behind that room. I think a mid-boss should be less challenging than the actual dungeon master. How about switching the rooms ? So the moth could be the "pre-boss" (no hole on the floor) - while the Armos Knights could be the real boss, since it took much longer to defeat them - due to high health.

There is also a bug with that boss - after two or three attacks its "bullets" vanish, you hear the attack sound - but you can freely move along with the boss without worrying to dodge - and kill it very quickly. It didn't drop a heart container after its dead too - was this made by purpose or do some/all bosses usually should drop them normally in this hack ?

I am just about to enter Din's Catacombs - it is again a nice idea; but I have to agree with most players that it is simply too hard to kill three high-health sand worms in the darkness, with annoying vertical damaging "bullets" when they dive in AND this machine-gun type shooters in it. Without the shooters the fight could have been very challenging, but more fair.

So my overall impression after the introduction and the first dungeon - despite the things I pointed out here - is great. I just hope the difficulty level increases without getting unfair some time. Other than that this is a very good hack which makes a lot of fun - since you can travel to all important locations easily and there are no boring places, such as Lake Hylia in original Zelda III which just made me sleeping when I got there (crabs, a coast - boring).
We talked about moving the guy who gives you the sword in one of the beginning caves instead. Should take care of the saving function... Then we'll remove the backtracking of the guardhouse and overhaul the first three dungeons to match of overall quality of the hack. What well probably do however is release a quick fix in the mather of days to come which fixes the grammar and punctuation. Probably dump the script this weekend for someone fluant in english to lend a hand with it.

About the 1st dungeon idea of mid boss/boss switch, it could be an idea, well take it in consideration. We have no idea why Mothula stops shooting at you through.

The bosses don't drop heart containers, it's not a bug, it's just like that. However, you can find enough heart pieces to make 20.

Those shooters now random are pretty bad when fighting bosses. They cause harm expecially on low hearts. As stated through Din's catacomb's and Forore's Isle will probably get an overhaul, so in the meantime we'll fix the later bugs.

Thanks for your overall review through. We worked very hard to deliver this much for you guys and hopefully the difficulty will drop in version 2.0 to please more people

ran into a weird bug, it seems if you get a heart container and try to catch a fairy before you're fully healed, the game freezes. D= yay rewind on ZSNES

That's odd. We'll look into it.

Not sure what you mean by dash jumping unless you mean by using bombs, here I included a small avi movie in the post. For your missing keys, you might wanna wait for Euclid to get online, he knows his dungeons more then I do

Spoiler:
There are two mushrooms in this game! So yeah, you can get both the medallion and the magic powder..

I have attempted to follow Deflaktor's guide for Impa's Ways and have obtained the Tablet, the Big Chest Key and the Big Door Key. My only problem is that I had to stumble my way to the boss room twice (didn't save the first time) and I still haven't found the treasure chest yet because a couple arrows that should lead to the final rooms are...inaccurate.

I would be indebted to those that give helpful advice (i.e. not "Keep looking, you'll eventually get it.") on how to remember the path to the large chest and boss room. This way, I won't kick myself for not knowing, for sure, the way to the room (I'm a picky fanatic for certain details at times).

Been playing it on the SNES, and there are some other minor issues:

1) Massive slowdown in areas with a high density of moving objects (like in the Quarry with the spinning fireballs, or anywhere with an Octoballoon[?] and a few other enemies, or in the water where you can see the dwarves' chimney smoke). Likely not a problem for emulators, but the enemy density still might do well to be reduced a little.

2) This isn't an "issue" so much as an observation: I've talked to everyone in the village (except inside the library, yet) and none of the girls give me an infinite conversation. Might be the same relative slowness of the SNES compared to emulators, that gives a little window to escape...

Looks like I'm going to have to replace the damn battery on this cart, too. Blasted thing lost my save, so I have to go through the Guardhouse all over again.

Edit: Man, that was dumb. The infinite conversation thing still happens; I forgot you had to jump down behind her.

I merely imagined the dungeon to myself as mainly consisting of four rooms in a 2x2 square repeated stacking on top of each other, with each warp moving up a level except that one leads off. Then, once you get through the next warp on the way, you go to an area that's like the beginning but with different connections... And if you go to far, you warp back to the beginning, though at one point there's a way off, and that leads to a key and the boss.

The chart basically summed up what I knew in an immensely confusing fashion...

It's not inaccurate, though, it's just hard to follow. Well, there's one inaccurate part after the second offshoot of the main path it should say that going through the warps takes you to the LEFT of the square of four, not the right. But that's basically it.

how do i get off the sky isles? I got the hookshot and killed the boss. only other place to go is the parallel tower, but I can't seem to do anything there. the cave I came through to come here closed behind me, I'm stuck

oh wait, I think i got it, I forgot you could break a stack of blocks with a dash. I thought you needed the second gloves for that

okay, this is gonna sound really dumb, but what does zelda mean by "push and hold the right shoulder and blue buttons" I've pressed R and held B and A, it does squat

i hand drew a map on paper. if you are trying to find the small key:

Spoiler:
search 3 rooms under the big chest, or 3 rooms above, 1 left from the armos knights, it should be under a pot

as for the big chest key,

Spoiler:
if you go STRAIGHT up from the room where you FIRST see the armos knights, you should come to a room with a chest. this should be the big chest key (or the mysterious tablet, not sure) but if not, i dont remember exactly where the big chest key was, probably the bottom left corner of the dungeon. remember, every door in this dungeon can be opened by pushing a block or defeating all the enemies.

EDIT: euclid, i'm still looking for the big chest key in parallel tower...PLEASE if you are reading this, tell me

Edit: Hold a sec, why does the post above me show a normal dark room? All my dark rooms are red with a weird light.

Why did you put a gap that can't be hookshotted over in the ice fortress for apparently no reason? And why lock someone in the room with Kholdstare when they don't have a fire rod? Sense making stop?

I looked at the map one last time and it becomes inaccurate after the 7th warp of the path that leads directly to the big chest of Impa's Ways when entering from the Castle Site. I've honestly tried different combinations to warp to the part of the dungeon where the big chestresides, but no such luck.

I'm done hopelessly wandering in that dungeon because it is frustrating (not hard) to put forth effort in that thing while all the time returning to near entrance time and time again. Innovative dungeon, but no offense: I'm done goofing in there and I'll be on my way. I just ask what the dungeon is, and if I'm PMed the exact directions, that's fine, but if not, oh well.

Things take longer when you can't use savestates. I'm in Nayru's Bay, trying to fight the Armos Knights. And it takes... FORTY-EIGHT HITS... to kill a single one. AND THERE ARE SIX OF THEM.

I can do it. I know it's possible. But are you supposed to have the bow before this, or what? I mean, it seems a little unfair when I have to hit them a combined 288 times to kill them, and they can hit me 10 (or 20 if I have a fairy) and kill me.
