| So I decided to set up my own board so I could experiment with some of the code and see what everything does (I am very unfamiliar with PHP). But, I cannot get it set up.
I copied all the files to myname.awardspace.com. Then I tried running setup.php, but I got the following error: Warning: main(/lib/dbinfo.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/www/myname.awardspace.com/lib/config.php on line 12 Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required '/lib/dbinfo.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/php4/share/pear') in /home/www/myname.awardspace.com/lib/config.php on line 12 I'm not sure what is going on, becase the file http://myname.awardspace.com/lib/dbinfo.php exists. Any ideas? |

| Wierd, I think it has to do with the root path of 1.A2, I think the path can be found on lib/function.php near the start. The line has a comment like: // fix this ||bass
Not sure as I haven't used 1.A2 much... Just change the root path to your server's path and it should work. If thats not the problem then sorry but I have no idea what the problem could be. |

| Well, I edited the config.php file and added the line
$root = "/home/www/myname.awardspace.com"; Now it works... but only in lololol. For example, in lololol, the "Main" link takes me to http://myname.awardspace.com/index.php. But in IE, the "Main" link tries to take me to http:///index.php, causing an error. What is going on? Then, I tried using AB 1.92, and it works fine. So unless someone has a solution to my earlier problem, I'll just stick with 1.92, since all I'll be doing anyway is screwing around with the code. |

Use 1.92. 1.92 is more secure than 1.A2, and doesn't has the problem with the root path thingy. Also, I would like to see your site, as I dont think its myname.awardspace.net.....  I might be able to help you with some things... |

| Seriously, use 1.92.
Or if you really want to use 1.A2, I believe there's something about the url in the database (boardconfig or something, search for it in PMA) |
