After playing 3, 2 started to feel really sluggish to me... I dunno why, maybe I was just used to sliding everywhere and shooting up and down ladders in each game thereon, and I thought 3 was far more forgiving on the platformer side of things. That's probably the primary reason I didn't like 7, just because it felt clunkier to play than the others. I didn't mind 8, it didn't terribly stand out to me though.

I still personally believe that 3 was and will always be the pinnacle of NES music.

Why all the hate for VII? I thought it was pretty good. Second Megaman game I ever played, and the one that made me love the entire series, too (first ever was X).

Now, if you want a bad game, take a look at High Max... yuck.

I rather like the fact that II garners so much respect from OC Remix, but I've got to overall go with III as more a favorite, even if I find myself rocking out to Wily's Mosh Pit more than any other OCR I have.

But then again, my absolute favorite will always be the Legends games...

Yea, it's SO hard to find good Mega Man III remixes. Albeit the boss music by Gux is not bad.

I don't know why people prefer 2 over 3 remix wise, but you can't deny that the 2 soundtrack is excellent. A lot of room for creativity there.

But 3 should have a bit more than what's currently floating around out there, yes.

Ugh.. hard choice.
I'll go with 3. Just a *hair* better gameplay and music, IMO.

Oddly enough, MM2 and MM3 are the only megamans I have for the NES. XD

I really liked Disco Dan's "Blue Lightning" mix for Megaman III.

II definitely does seem to get covered more though.
