[12:55] (Dr_Death16); I swear, the word drama needs to be stricken from the dictionary, for I've heard it so many times, it will permanently be imprinted on my brain

* Metal decided not to waste time and just ran onto the battlefield, ready to fight. *

"Let's get this fight started!"

* He suddenly stopped, causing somewhat comical skid marks. Then he quickly pulled out... a nine-iron? He smiled sinisterly as he prepared for the upcoming fight. *

( I guess so. I don't remember what happened in the previous match, and it wasn't archived either... )

So. At one end of the arena was Mel-Bot - Looking more like Robo-Ky than the previous incarnation of him that had appeared in Round 5. Fuck, I'm not writing up the whole goddamn description again. Jesus Christ.

Standing across the arena from his opponent, Mel-Bot stood motionless, in a neutral stance that seemed to offer no outward undefended points.

OOC: I feel your pain.

"Get ready to be schooled!"

* A split second flew by, and then Metal's nine-iron lit up an unearthly blue hue. But before anyone could react, Metal smashed it into the ground. A brilliant blue line of laser energy flew out from it, flying straight towards Mel-bot. Metal leaped to the right and hit the ground diagonally , and then leaped to the other side and repeated his attack. The lines flew at Mel, threatening to burn him and possibly knock him over. *

Mel-Bot's right leg seemed to immediately fracture at the knee, sliding forward. A blue blur shot out from the hollow insides, as the thin, twin blue beams arced towards him - when a solid, opaque blue wall erected itself in front of him. Both lasers crashed into it, and with a loud electric note, diffused into seven or eight lasers apiece that deflected off in all directions, either slamming into the ground of into the air, eventually dispersing naturally.

The blue, glass-like wall shimmered once, then simply floated back an inch or so and faded away, revealing Mel-Bot standing with a bright blue keytar, with the neck pointed directly at Metal Man. He stood with one leg slid back, the other moved forward slightly and bent in, right hand on the keyboard, the left on the neck. The tiny crackles of electricity that danced across the polished surface of the keytar, occasionally leaping to the reploid's grey metal plating gave light to the idea that this was no ordinary musical instrument.

The yellow lenses of the reploid's glasses glowed a bright yellow for nary a moment, and his white, piano-key like teeth flickered on and off with his voice.

Mel-Bot: KEYTAAAAAAR BATTLE

Bringing his right hand up as if he were to do a windmill, he brought it down on several keys at once. His feet dug into the ground, breaking the tile underneath and sending him sliding back a few feet without falling over. There was no visible output from the keytar - no big black wavy lines, no laser beams, no bolts of lightning - save for the loud electronic notes emitted from the musical instrument. A split second later, tiles in front of Mel-Bot in a conical area, stretching all the way up to Metal Man and a good twenty feet past him were instantly shattered. Several spotlights in the immediate vicinity, not neccasarily in the conical path cracked, and a few of those in the audience with particularly sensitive hearing whimpered in pain, holding their hands over their ears.

* The attack set off a whole ton of Metal's sensors, all of them warning him to get out of the way. He dove to the side, but got blasted in the back by some of it, which damaged a variety of subsystems and cracked his armor. He got up, still sparking a bit, and then gripped the nine-iron tightly. *

"You have an inspiring attack system, but what of... your defenses?"

* Metal suddenly slammed the club into the ground twice, causing two more lasers. Surely he wasn't this predictable... nope. He leapt off to the left, and then suddenly lunged, trying to charge at Mel-bot and bash him in the stomach seconds after the inevitable deflection of the lasers. To hedge his bets, Metal used his off hand to hurl a flash grenade behind Mel. *

Even as the flash grenade erupted behind him, Mel-Bot remained unfazed, the adjustment of his vision for a high-intensity light environment an easy task. Besides - the thing erupted behind him. He wasn't looking into it.

Flipping the keytar around in his hands, gripping it by the neck primarily with the right hand like a baseball bat, Mel-Bot swung the keytar hard, one laser striking the polished keys and bouncing directly off. He twisted his twist, the body swinging around to strike the other laser, which shot off into the air. He braced the other end of the keytar with his off hand, catching the keytar against the head of the nine-iron as Metal Man brought it down, effectively stopping his attack cold. Both of his yellow eyes glowed, and he said, in a voice that seemed both arrogant and unfeeling at the same time:

Mel-Bot: My defenses are adequate.

Letting go of the keytar, Mel-Bot hit both sides, causing it to spin around, and before it had even completed a turn, he had grabbed it, now holding it like an instrument again, with the neck leveled at Metal Man's chest. His eyes shimmered, and he played a few notes - which heralded a sudden burst of energy, a fat blue beam that erupted from the end of the keytar at point-blank range and lasted for only a few moments before the flow ceased.

"We'll see about that!"

* Metal punched the keytar with his free hand; and suddenly, the beam was hitting his fist point-blank. It then channeled through his high-tech armor, and into the other hand... the one with the golf club. Which was touching the keytar. As well as Mel-bot, since it had bent from the block. Both Mel and the keytar would be feeling their own attack; while it damaged Metal, he was actually able to reroute a good deal of the energy right back into Mel-bot. But that wasn't enough, as Metal thought. Surely Mel-bot would just pull out some other gadget and avoid this as well. *

"If you think this burns, why don't you check out THIS!"

* Metal, noticing the keytar's beam beginning to end (as per Mel-Bot's original firing program), immediately shoved Mel-bot back, and then while both of them were still glowing from the laser energy, he flipped open his wrist-mounted laser gun, his left-wrist harpoon launcher, his dual automatic shoulder guns, and then kneeled to reveal dual rocket launchers in his knees. He then pointed them all at Mel-Bot and opened fire, spraying bullets, lasers, a harpoon, and two rockets at Mel while the laser from the keytar was still dying out. *

The laser slammed into the reploid's midsection, sending him plowing backwards through the ground and tile of the arena, like he was smashed onto the front grille of a semi. He quickly sank into the beam, and it overtook him, moving past. As the beam died off, Mel-Bot stood there with a thick layer of scratches, dings, and soot on his armor, as the volley of fire from Metal Man came in. The bullets had next to no effect, either reflecting directly off due to an odd angle or completely smashing themselves against his plating and falling off harmlessly. Both rockets exploded in clouds of smoke, and the lasers only seemed to leave thick, black smoking lines on his armor. The harpoon - What the hell? A harpoon? Forget that. He catches the harpoon, then simply blinks and stares at it.

Mel-Bot: A... harpoon?

The robot stands there for several moments, blinking at the large metal object he's holding - and then gives the harpoon a hard tug, pulling Metal Man in towards him. There is a slight flash of green as he pulls his right arm back, the fist drawing back into the wrist slightly. When the robot master drew close, he struck, sending his fist forward, hopefully slamming it into Metal Man's stomach - and then igniting his rocket fist, detatching the fist from the wrist and pushing Metal Man backwards, sending him crashing through the tiles layered across the ground.

* The fist shoved him waaay back, tearing up the ground and knocking Metal over into a pile of debris. The fist itself would then do whatever it should do when its target was knocked over and had fallen off of it. Metal looked TERRIBLY messed up... but he began to get up, shooting sparks and moving oddly. *

"That hurt like hell. I'm not letting you do that again. Prepare for the ultimate attack! There's no escape from this one. I'd start running if I were you."

* Metal got up, walked three paces forwards, and then began glowing a violent shade of blue. Nothing else happened, not even anything flying at his foe... he was open to attack, and not even with some sort of force field or an excuse for a defense, either! *
