OK I've decided to try and run a sudoku challenge here at Acmlm. I've seen King Kattwah competition and I think I will run something similar.

To those who don't know what Sudoku is here are the rules:
A 9x9 grid is shown with numbers filled in. The difficulty will decide how many number are filled in at the start.
The 9x9 grid is divided into 9 3x3 grids. In these grids the numbers 1 to 9 are filled in. No number may be repeated twice.
In each column and row there also may only be one of each number.

Now the rules for this competition:
Every 5 or so days, I may change this if I think it's neccisary, I will post one easy, one normal and one hard sudoku puzzle.

Points are awarded like so:
1 point for an easy puzzle
2 points for a normal puzzle
3 points for a hard puzzle

1 additional bonus points for solving a puzzle that isn't with the solution I have.

I'm not going to start straight away, I would like to get the work out and find out how many people would like to play. Post here if your interested and help get the word out. Also PM me with any suggetions if you have any.

I might be interested... I've never actually tried the game before, so I might turn out to be terrible. Still, it would be interesting to try (without the use of online sudoku solvers, of course).

I wanted to play in Kattwah's sudoku game, but I sucked then. Since I have done about one a day for the last 4 months, I would be willing to play.

God knows if I'll win though

Well so far response has been great so maybe I'll start this in about 24 hours. And anyone found to be cheating (not sure how you'd find out ) will be disqualified imediatly. Lets keep the spirit of the game.

Spread the word a bit as well, signatures and stuff.

It's kinda likely someone will cheat.
There are Sudoku-auto-solve applications in the internet.

Yeah, someone probably will and there isn't much we can do to find out about it.

However I've got some problems in doing this as I am going to be unavailable for a few weeks . If someone else wants to do it they can PM me about me but I mightn't be able to respond. I'll try to keep it ontrack but I can't promise anything.

Are the three different puzzles worth different amounts of points? I would tend to think so, considering they are hard, medium, and easy.

Yes, they are worth different amount of points. Says so in the first post.

1 pt. for the easy puzzle.
2 pts. for the medium puzzle.
3 pts. for the hard puzzle.

An extra point for solving the puzzle with a different solution than the one I have.

Alright, you got the same solution as I have so that gives you one point. I'll post the scores until either all 3 puzzles are solved or when it's been 5 days since I last post the puzzles and not all 3 have been answered.
