I don't know. I've seen a pro-HIV one, where gay men go to talk about spreading HIV to other people, and where some people go to find someone to give them HIV. They talked about "DROPPIN' POZ LOADS IN NEG BUTTS" and stuff. It was a forum, too, and it had quite the long history (it was probably real, too, despite their saying it was fake). I joined in on a forum raid on there, but that did little good as they weren't offended by that sort of thing. After a narcing of their location, they simply moved elsewhere. We found them again, but decided to drop it.

Anyhow, I got a mild chuckle out of this, due to the absurdism. Other than that, it's not funny. Not because it's in bad taste, but because it just isn't funny. I've seen plenty of other jokes in bad taste that are funny, but this is more something created for shock value.

It as a joke (obviously) since I added the (not literally) part. But if you think about it, the same people that complain about population control shoot out 6 kids...

Overpopulation is a load of crap. We could all fit in Texas.

And there's plenty of food to go around, its just poorly distributed.

What the fuck. This is just sick.

I do think the world is overpopulated, but people shouldn't die from diseases. They should die from accidents like plane crashes and such... But that's just my opinion.

It's a joke, it's a bad joke but i believe you should be able to joke about anything at the same time. Still I seen much been satire than this. :/

Come on, i rather live in a society where people keep doing tasteless jokes than a uptight police state. And the best way to approach those sites if they upset you is to ignore them.

Before you say anything, yes I had a relative to die of cancer. But I don't really care what disease they would have mentioned.

Also allot of countries have the opposite problem, Sweden's population would been decreasing if we didn't get so many immigrants.

This world may be overpopulated, but killing off people just so THOUSANDS OR MILLIONS MORE CAN COME INTO THIS WORLD? That's just wrong. I hate death. I found out a few minutes ago that someone I used to live next to a few years ago was found dead in her home last Saturday. She was shot in the head. And no one knows who did it, why they did it, or what was to gain from it. It didn't seem like whoever killed her stole anything. It's the reason behind my sad mood. She used to be a good friend of my family. She was so nice...

emcee you are so totally right there. Everyone could fit in Texas with ENOUGH land. Food needs to be distributed better, thats the only problem. I doubt this website "launches" off. Because I can almost promise you noone will fund it because nearly everyone has a relative who has/will/had cancer.

Ignoring disease, yeah. Ignoring the necessity of the land being healthy and able to support life without contamination.

How would you go about getting a site like this closed down, anyway? Only thing I can think of is a negative smear campaign, but that's probably what these jerkholes want anyway. I already checked their host's Terms, and there's nothing about offensive/tasteless jokes. :/

Right and wrong is in the eye of the beholder. Personally, I don't want cancer, but I think the whole point of the website is that you can find a cure, but getting it is inevitable. The underlying message here is that if you get cancer, it's because you were always supposed to get cancer.

I'm pro-cancer, in this case.

The land becomes contaminated or unable to support life due to poorly regulated industry and agriculture. Farming leaches nutrients from the soil, but proper crop rotation puts it back. The soil only becomes contaminated when use of harsh fertilizers and pesticides isn't controlled, or when industrial waste isn't properly disposed of.

Disease isn't caused by over population, it's caused by lack of decent sanitation, lack of awareness, and poor distribution of medication.

Blaming overpopulation is always an oversimplification that avoids the real issues.
