| Without even making any noticeable entrance to the room to start, Jack suddenly spoke up, approaching the group from out of the shadows of the room's corner.
"If I could add a word... in my living days, an associate of mine was a combatant in the tournament (Kyle was his name). However, he couldn't keep up with the battle because his 'real world' life suddenly became very busy. Shame, would have been a great battle. As consequence, he forfeited, and Jarukoth won the battle through rule." He stared at Zap, with his head tilted down slightly. "What I mean is, sometimes the time limits on battles conflict with life in the 'real world' - they add a whole level of stress, what with having to move and put on a good battle before the round ends. Perhaps battles in the tournament could continue until a player is KO'd or quits? There could still be other methods of deciding if a combatant would progress to the next round, so being ko'd (as one must first choose to be) wouldn't be guaranteed failure." He turned to the door. "I'd like to enlist, but I couldn't commit to anything with these time limits as they are..." Jack left the room, but stopped at the door, casting a sort of shadow over the room. "Shame Schwa isn't here anymore. He was like the life of the party. Will he not come back?" |

| Marino sips what's left of the soda before she tosses it in the trash bin nearby, and logs out without speaking another word.
MARINO LOGGING OUT "Yeah... I miss that guy as well... atleast I have something to remember him by..." Forte is refering to when he used his Get Ability Program and made a duplicate of Schwa's Alpha Psibeam. "Schwa's the only one who was able to match up to my level of power..." A Nebula Hole opens up in front of him, as he walks through. He heads back towards Black Earth Area 2, the Nebula Hole closing up and fading out of existance. |

"If a new tournament does start, I want in! Although as what has already been mentioned, all the great battlers have fled the country to lead a second life in Europe, Asia and Antarctica! So it'll never be as good unless they return." |

| "The tournaments end just a few months ago, and people already have forgotten the fighters like me and Grey?"
A pink, round creature floats into the area. It was wearing a red cap with a blue bill, and had tiny wings fluttering on its back. "Sheesh.. I appear in the Sim Battle Tournament for a cool cameo, and I'm just as easily forgotten. Not even given credit, for that matter." With the way Kirbynite was talking, it seemed like he would do better sitting on a rocking chair, stroking a long, white beard. He floated over to a wall, and pulled down a screen from seemingly nowhere. He also pulled out a metallic pointer. "Folks, time limits are needed. And a month isn't a bad thing. If anything, it would be too much, but it's best to stick with it. Did you know how many times we went past the time limit? Both on fights AND judging? Too many times, and that's what caused the tournament to go on for more than a year. And you know what happens when things just take waaaaay too long?" An image of a kid sitting at a desk appeared on the screen. The kid's eyes were glazed over, and a large amount of drool was accumulating ontop of the desk. "People get bored. People lose the drive. If you mix those in with real life events, then you sure as hell will not see things end well in the tournament. Besides... I'm sure most fighters in the tournaments could be classified as Hero-types." The image on the screen changes into a monkey wearing an orange karate gi. "Hero-types usually will not give up fights, and sometimes don't know when to quit. Since it hasn't seem like anyone has stepped up to host the tournament, I think I will. I will be a judge as well, despite me wanting to take you guys on and show you a thing or two in person. HOWEVER!" The image of four sheep glaring at each other appeared on the screen. "Every tournament has its own gimmick. Sure, the previous one didn't have one, but that in itself was a gimmick. This will be a tag-team tournament." Kirbynite nodded twice. "After everyone complains how I'm being a tyrant and think I'm crazy, I'll explain the rules and show the benefit of fighting in a team." |

Kirbynite pointed at the image on the screen... which hasn't changed. "Two members of the board versus two members of the board. The member of the board can use any character in his or her own roster to represent himself in the fight, but the choice has to be made at the beginning of each round." |

| "Tag is there just because I thought it sounded snazzier. No, these battles will be done in a normal fashion. I'm still thinking on the full mechcanics, but it may end up being done in turns.
A fighter cannot post until after one of the opponents posts and after the ally has posted. If it seems like this concept will not work, we will have to just go in order, with Team A Fighter 1 posting first, then Team B Fighter 1, Team A Fighter 2, Team B Fighter 2, rinse and repeat. I'm hoping the first concept will work, since it holds potential for interesting attacks." |

"Now don't get any ideas Forte. I highly doubt they'll allow you to use your Get Ability Program to make a copt of someone's attack." ForteZero said as he appeared standing next to Sky. "Who said that I'd try and become more powerful. Sure, Schwa was the only person who I used my Get Ability Program on... ohh, shut up brother..." ForteZero only chuckled, and gave his elder brother a smirk. "That reminds me though Forte, when we or two other members of Maverick Hunters enter a tag-team fight, one of us battles, the other remains in the Reserve Rank..." "That's right. When we do a Tag Assist, time freezes for a brief moment in order to allow the switch to happen unless one of us was in a submission lock by the enemy (of course when that happens, the Reserve Rank enters and frees the trapped hunter, allowing him/her to escape while the rescuer is automaticaly placed in battle). So, how would that affect this tournament?" "They'll figure out a way, for now. Let's sign up! I'm inching to fight!" Forte, like a rebellious teenager, ran over to the nearest sign up place. ForteZero only sighed before following after. OOC: I'll join. Forte and ForteZero are the two battlers I'll use. * * * "Hmm..." Slur is nearby, but she's sitting down off the edge of the roof, the building where the sign-up sheets are located. It'll be fun to enter... but it's better just to watch. Keep tabs on Forte's fightning style... She smiled to herself, "Forte... once I find your weakness... I'll delete you." She chuckled before she got up and flew off. Grey: "Your team's gonna need a partner team, Forte. Make sure to get one." Grey signed his name on the list. He hoped he'd get himself a partner... "Wouldn't wanna be a judge for this one..." |

| "Yo Black Shadow!" Forte turned to see Zero walking up to him. The two Navis knocked their fists together, a sign of saying hello.
"Hey yourself Z." "Weirdest thing Forte... there was a miniturized KirbyProg posting posters everywhere in Internet City, the Uranet, and stuff like that." "KirbyProg?" Forte questioned, "You mean like those Mr. Progs with avatar data to cosplay a character?" "Uhh, basically." "Whatever. Anyway, me and my brother's gonna enter, but Grey here says we need a partner team, or something like that." "Ahh what the hell," Zero snatched the pen from Teundusia after she finished signing and written under her name in his classical writing, "might as well be one of your Team B partners.... now all we need is someone to fill the last one and we're good to go." "Hmm... hello Forte." The Black Shadow only closed his eyes. "Slur..." The female diva grabbed the pen and written her name down. "I'm with Zero.EXE on Team B for Forte and ForteZero Mr. Grey..." She turned and faced Forte, who in turn faced her. "Alright guys... now I know you two don't like each other... but don't go and fight now. There are innocent fighters here who don't want to recieve the ending blast from one of you guys," ForteZero said. The two only looked at each other before they turned their backs at each other. |

Over at another table next to Grey and the sign-up sheets for the Tournament, Forte, Zero, and ForteZero are playing a few hands of Poker. (Elsewhere...) "Damn! Where the hell is everybody!?" David fumed as he avoided another buster shot, and retaliated with one of his onw, deleting the umpteenth Copyroid enemy. This battle took place in the desert regeions of Namatse, close to Egypt. "There's a Tournament going on, and four slots of the Hunters, and Slur has taken place. Marino's with your wife, and Spider's on schedule with Bounty Hunting Vile and his subordients of the former Dark Nation members." "I hate taking missions by myself. This is more along the lines of Zero's idea of an adventure, not mine -- wait a minute! Did you say Slur? The so-called Diva of Space?" "Duh." "Shit. Forte and Slur hate each other to the point of killing each other, no matter who gets in the way." "ForteZero has things under control... and if not, god help us all..." David groaned, before he lifted his buster to his right without looking and blew off the head of another random enemy copyroid. |
