I really dig this show, it's hip and pretty intense. Mugen is by far my most fave character. He's lazy, but he also kicks serious arse. ^__^

I didn't really mind watching it but, if you've seen it already or have seen the majority of the eps CN shows...you find that it doesn't really lead to a lot.

I watched it a few months ago, and it was pretty good. The Baseball episode was the best episode in the entire series, methinks.

It's an enjoyable watch, but Hiryuu's actually right, it really doesn't lead anywhere in the overall story, I mean it has a storyline, but the storyline doesn't really dig too deeply or with very much development, honestly. But it's not bad, and I like the animation as well.

Well, maybe because it's directed by Shinichiro Watanabe? The same problem was with Cowboy Bebop-- not enough focus on the central story. Hell, we STILL don't even really know that much about Spike.

Yea but...I do believe it's worse than Bebop even. At least the ending in Bebop was better than how SC turned out...even though it was in the same damn style.

It's violent. It has swords and lotsa broffles. Awesome musical score. Good voices and plot in my opinion. It wins in my book. There are better Samurai animes out there, but this is fine.

Which was exactly my problem with it. It's stylish, yes, but it leads nowhere and everything just feels the same throughout it.

One day I will watch episodes 18-end. Silly Japs taking a break midseason.

I really hate the opening though. It's not really rap, it just sucks. There's no flow with it, the words are just connected somehow in some bastardized haiku form if that. |
