Yeah, I thought it'd be useful to have something like tag.
When someone asks, say; "Where can I get instructions on Metroid Zero Mission headers?" So you could respond; "I don't think there's a database or such, but you could ask Interdpth" And it'd link to his/her profile. Other variations could be "Boss". That would link to the profile, yes, but in that form it could have different text. "Boss", in this occasion. Eh? |

Names change. ID numbers don't. | |||

Ahah.
Of course. Another suggestion, though. (I'll post it here if you don't mind. Making a new topic isn't necessary.) Smart tags would be great. When someone says "SMWCentral" or "The Announcements", it'd automatically fix them to "SMWCentral", and The Announcements. There could also be more smart tags like DataCrystal, etc.. This way we could avoid posts like "wher is dutucrästöl?" |

No.
- It'd break links, since a href="http://datacrystal.org" would become a href="http://<a href="http://datacrystal.org">.org/yourpage", i.e. broken. Not tomention, there would end up being far too many things to check to make sure aren't pointless linking (no one wants to click a dead link ) and the potential number of these things would be huge. In short: learn how to link them normally or just realize that idiots will always, always ask these questions. |
