Bleh, I can't seem to get water right. No matter what I do (or how many times I look at previously made levels) I keep messing up. Here's screenshots of what it looks like in ZSNES and Eggvine.

The screenshots show it. Yoshi is at the surface of the water, even though visibly the surface is above him. He's floating near the top, but not at the top.

It looks to me that the surface of the water is placed at the top of the screen in which the water object is placed, even if that's not where the top of the water object is. You'll have to redesign the level so that the top of the water object coincides with the top of the screen.
