I was thrilled about having my last place in line until the person opening the store popped her head out telling us that two Wiis were defective.

Thinking about it, I think I'd rather have bought a defective Wii. At least I would have to wait for the mailman to deliver a replacement than to waste my time in calling stores and scouring the internet for information.

So much for assuming my family event's gonna be fun.

My guess, they were keeping two units for themselves or a friend.

And Colin, do I ever!?

Not sure if this has been answered anywhere yet, but how often do they plan to release VC games?

I think MS releases a new XBLA game every Wednesday, but Nintendo's got a huge library under their belt. So I wouldn't be surprised if they were released faster. That or maybe they'll release games in bulk?

I think it was going to be once a month thing with the VC, though they release them in bulk so I guess it would be about five a month or so?

They're suppose to release 10 VC games every month starting in January 2007.

Got my copy of SMRPG for 25 bucks at a local game reseller.

As for the Wii, it's amazing, hands down... I played my cousin's this past weekend and I'm definitely sold... I think that's how a lot of people are, they're not quite sure if it's the next big thing or not and want to try it first... well once they try it, they'll be amazed.

I'm predicting the rise of Nintendo, the Wii is gonna be big.

So, all I've played at my home has been Zelda, Zelda, and Zelda.

Tonight I finally tried out Wii Sports with friends and it was definitely a blast. Bowling and Tennis seemed to be the most fun. Golf was alright. The others I didn't see much of. We also played the Rayman game, it was decent. But I'd only buy it if I expected a lot of parties or something. There was also DBZ, and we quickly learned that that game is impossible to play with the Wii controllers.

I'm just hoping Nintendo will be releasing rechargable batteries (or are there some out there already?). 30 hours into Zelda, and I already had to change them out.

So yesterday (gee, a lot of things happened yesterday) I got a package with my free goodies from the managers conference back in October. So now I have a free Classic controller and 7500 points. Now all I need is a Wii (which I might end up getting later anyway).

I got one this past saturday without having anyone wait in line for it. It's a pretty short story:

My little sister calls me up while I'm at "work"(it was lunch/break time) and tells me that her friend called her up and told her that the Toys R Us in the area had a few left(they announced it) and my sister told my bro who was coming home from taking the GRE. My little sister called again later but I didn't pick up and was wondering from 12 until I got home if we got one. It was a pretty well kept secret. I found it there sitting on my bed.

Luckily, my brother preordered Zelda months in advance and picked it up the week before. I only got to play the Wii for around four hours but man, what hit me first was how ergonomic the controller was. Just....wow.

Everything rocks hard. The only thing is that when connecting to the Shop channel, it sometimes takes a long ass time or doesn't connect at all.

If the Wii improves on a couple of things, it might become way super awesome. 1.)Online Multiplayer on the VC.(will attract those who use emulators)
2.)Ability to purchase an exact amount of points to buy stuff like the PS3 has.
3.)Someway to fix this strap breaking issue. Although I find it stupid that people have not realized movements don't have to be so....extreme?

I'm not disappointed at all. I am hoping that the Wii makes DS esque games which may not be the most impressive in terms of visuals and such but have their own sense of style and ingenuity that make them...fun.

Oh, they are. I actually enjoyed playing Wii sports almost smashing my controller through my friends TV. While he just flicked his wrist.

Wait a few months and you'll get it for ~$8. Or just go the... other route.

I still haven't seen a copy of Zelda around here at all.

I seen enough reports about the Wii wristbands breaking but then it seems to be people who... uses it a bit too extreme. xD

Dogan: I guess it would be tricky to actually make him play the game, which is why it's faked. xD Still, kind of neat.

yeah, really. You're not supposed to flail around like a goddamned lunatic. There's reports of people throwing their controller through the window for fuck's sakes! And breaking 40 inch TVs.

And I blame them for being stupid. =/
