- Slowdown. Everywhere.
- Wrong colors in places
- EVERYTHING that isn't literally bolted down is a sprite
- Collision detection is broken in a few places
- Spindash actually ruins the game (seriously, you can skip huge portions of levels if you jump right)
- Physics are goofed up
- Sound effects sound like a GBC
- And more.

This isn't even worth the bandwidth it took to download it. (I just wanted to see if it was really that bad, as I saw a video of it running on a machine a while ago, and it had the same problems)

I actually had high hopes for this one... then I saw the mockup screenshots in Nintendo Power, and started to see videos of the actual game... and so I didn't even download it.

This game has worse music than Sonic Battle; which, is odd, as Sonic Battle's GHZ remix kicks the arse of all the music in this game put together.

Plus you can fall out of the SPECIAL STAGE! Wheeee!!!!

It's borderline unplayable. I gave up on Marble Zone.
I believe this video sums up the physics well enough:

Dead god, that is... awful! It's an embarassment that this was even put out. I DEFINATLY know not to get this game now.

To me, it sounds an awful lot like it's the Big Rigs/Superman 64/ET of the Gameboy Advance. Still, there's always the fun of screwing around in horrible games such as this one, a.k.a. "it's so bad, it's good".

At least Big Rigs tells you you're WINNER after you beat it easily. This just makes your brain hurt.

(Oh... I went into the special stage one time and the bumpers were replaced with gibberish. I considered it a great success, since the rest of the time the control kinda screwed me up enough to die because of enemies that are easily avoidable in the Genesis version.)

Basically, I'm one of those people who are dumb enough to say that Shadow wasn't a bad game, and I think this is utter crap.

Holy geez... did Sega screw this one up THAT badly?!? I mean, I knew it was going to be a port with the spin dash and such, and if it was a straight port it wouldn't be THAT bad for $19.99... wow.

Good thing Sonic's coming out on the VC (for those who want to play it on a TV), huh?

Let's see... broken physics, sloppy controls, massive popup (As in, things appear in the center of the screen), random glitches... yes, they screwed it up that badly.

For instance: In Spring Yard Zone act 1, in the Genesis version, there's a spring that bounces you up to a curve in the roof that Sonic will run along. If you hold left after hitting the spring, Sonic will run along it the full length, rolling will roll along it and in a normal arc through the air.

In the GBA one, holding left after hitting the spring causes Sonic to kinda shake in the air, then fall straight back towards the spring, but instead go through the passage you came through because of the broken falling routine or something. If you don't hold left, he will do something a bit similar to the Genesis one, but won't run on the roof. If you roll, Sonic will roll on the ceiling, but only after the screen snaps to his position, as it won't follow him correctly.

Nevermind the broken momentum routines which allow him to continue through passages that he should by all means not be able to continue through, as well as jumping miraculously at the exact same speed he was running, even after pushing a wall for a few seconds.

EDIT: By all means, what I'm trying to say, is that I've seen plenty of fangames that have better physics than this port. They have to be pretty crappy to be anywhere near containing comparable errors, even.

.......... Dammit. Maybe this is why I only got two copies into the store...urg, and I really wanted to buy this one too.

Oh well, I'll stick to my Genesis Collection (Ps2) then.

Not only is the GBA version awful, the new stationary Sonic title is also an atrocity.

I beat it last night, It was so friggin' annoying but I was just compelled to do it. I don't know what it was... maybe a drive to beat all sonic games...

I dunno, DKC2 (GBA) was entirely playable, made it into the last world without a problem actually... well, other than in the swamp, but I always have some trouble there. I'd definitely prefer the original (better graphics, sound, bigger screen), but it wasn't horrible.
