| Daikirai: I've had enough of this!
The youth yells at the top of his lungs and the black flames swirl around his body furiously. The dragon exhales a great gout of flame incinerating those who stood before them. The seals vanish from beneath Genkimetsu, however Daikirai keeps going. Wounds begin to open up on his body tearing apart his clothing simultaneously. Teguru: Daikirai! They aren't there anymore! He's gone beyond out voices. Go Kesiri! Reliae! Try and get him under control! We can't have him break through the third barrier! We have no idea what will happen then! The two young women rush forward, Kesiri takes him in her arms and lowers him to the ground speaking soothing words to him and Reliae kneels by his head stroking saying soothing words as well. The boy coughs blood, and more wounds rip open. Teguru: Shumo! We must prepare a teleportation seal, Daikirai has lost control and when those two have finally got him under control he will be too weary to fight them when they do come. The boy's breathing was ragged but it slowly comes under control and becomes more and more stable. When he is finally calmed down Kesiri picks him up and throws him over her shoulders. A doorway leading to a rocky landscape with a castle set atop a hill can be seen through it. Shumo and Reliae go through it. Kesiri goes through next, Teguru waits beside the door waiting for the rest to go through. |

| A little shaken, Kaede waves her hand to dismiss the motes, and lowers her staff. She walks up to the grave Teguru, nods, and goes on through without a word. | |||

| The castle sat atop a rocky slope. Gazing down upon the plains beneath with a demonic quality for the walls were covered with rotting vines because of the mist hanging in the air obscuring the great structure. The castle itself was covered with vines yet the great glass windows peeked out from the curtains of vines. The portal came out into the lobby if you will of the castle.
Upon your entrance into the castle you can see the two young women carrying Daikirai up a stairwell into the upper levels. Shumo is walking away down one passage and Teguru walks through the large iron bound doors at the end of the room to enter the dining hall. Where do you want to go? |

| Teguru goes into the dining and sits at the large wooden table set in the middle of the hall. He leans back into the chair and lets out a sigh. Looking to Kaede he speaks.
Teguru: That boy is truly a marvel. We found him when he was about 7 years old. At that point he could break the first barrier easily. By the time he was twelve he could make it to the point inbetween the 6th threshold and the 3rd barrier. Kesiri really seems to love the boy. We took him in because no one else would, treated him like our son. And now we have one of the most feared groups in this world. Besides the Church. Teguru: So then you want to join Genkimetsu to aid us? Daikirai and Kesiri are scheduled for scouting. They will be leaving as soon as the boy is ready. While those two are away we will be getting you ready to join actively in Genkimetsu activites. Are there any questions you have to ask me? |

| Kaede holds her head in her hands and looks at the tapestry thoughtfully. She finally says, "Are you sure what you--we-- are doing... All this violence... Is this really the only way to set things right?" She pauses before adding, "There was another thing on my mind-- that boy, is there anything we can do to help him? | Teguru: We are just doing what we think is going to help the government. Poor people cannot run for positions in the government because we do not have the funds. They made the election process so that only the rich can ever hope to get win. As for the boy, people have tried to release that seal on him, none have succeeded. We think that the only way it can be broken is if that Suki girl helps him break it. However that won't happen, so he's stuck with it.
Teguru: Now then pardon me while I go make preparations. If you wish you may go and visit the boy up in his room before he leaves. |

| ((hmm... don't have much info, so I guess I'll take a few liberties with the storytelling))
Nodding, Kaede rises, mutters her thanks, and walks back into the foyer. She crosses the massive hall and climbs the stairs, wandering the corridors until she comes to the door. Quietly, she pushes it open, and enters. She takes a chair beside the bed and looks at him for a time, running a hand over his forehead. Terrible images flashed across her vision-- fiery hatred. Fields of blood. Men behaving like demons. Screams of those left dying... All fragments of memories and dreams. "Those healers-- they're skilled, but there's one more thing I can do..." A pale blue light flowed from her palm and momentarily lit up their faces. The pained exp |

The boy rose slowly. The sheets fell away from his body, revealing his scarred upper torso. Daikirai: Would you like to see my other memories? It could make you feel more in touch with what we are doing here for Genkimetsu. For the country. |

| Kaede looked slightly taken aback, both by the scars-- though she was no stranger to grisly wounds, in her line of practice-- and his sudden revelation. "You knew? Normally when I work my healing magic to dispell nightmares, whoever it is falls into a deeper sleep and doesn't... well, never mind. It's just... unusual. Anyway." A mystified look lingering on her face, she continued. "If you're willing to share your memories, I'm more than willing to listen. I'd like very much to know more about this organization." | |||

| Daikirai places his hand on her forehead, and closes his eyes.
Images of Daikirai surrounded by swirling black flames appear in Kaede's mind. He is walking through towns burning houses. Killing anyone who gets in his way. No matter who they were. He laughs maniacally the whole time. The other members of Genkimetsu are further away, doing the same thing as he is. Praising him even. Other images of Daikirai as a child getting rocks hurled at him appear. Others of him getting cut trying to protect Kesiri with his body. Then going berserk, witht he flames swirling around him, and the wounds opening on his body. An overwhelming sense of despair is deep down in the midst of these memories. The images stop, and Daikirai appears in front of her once more. Sitting in the bed with the sheets fallen from his chest. Daikirai: So, what did you think? | Kaede sat with her head bowed for a time, wringing her hands, her palms cold with sweat. She soon regained her composure and looked up. "Life has clearly been unknind to you--you have my sympathy--and I can see you've got some semblance of nobility, at least for those you have allied yourself with."
The girl recalled the scene from the village again. She heard the innocents' laments, saw burning rafters of a house collapsing, burying those inside alive. The settlement was destroyed in a matter of hours, blood so thickly shed on the ground it soaked through the assailants' soles, charred bodies littering the ground like leaves in the fall. The volume of the destruction that had been wrought was far more than could be justified as serving any strategic purpose. These were people who revelled in gore. "...But you're a monster. So is this Genkimetsu, apparently, slaughtering innocents by the hundreds wantonly. I want nothing to do with it." She spat the words, her voice rising. "If this is the only way to revolution, we're better off staying as we are!" Face hot with impending tears, she added, "At least the tyrants are human." She turned as if to leave, but lingered, seemingly in expectation, longing for some assurance things were not as they seemed. |

| Daikirai: My life and well being has never been important to someone before now. The Genkimetsu are the only people who demonstrate some level of care for me. They are like my family. Aren't you supposed to keep your ties with family? I've never been sure that this was the way to go about things. Deep down, I've questioned my actions, "Is this what I'm supposed to be doing? Am I living life the right way?"
He struggles out of the bed. Daikirai: I just want at least someone to truly care about me. I want the people to respect me. I'm a living being too aren't I? He falls down, groaning. He clutches his head, and the seal begins to glow. He crys out. Daikirai: Not again! He's coming! He wants to consume my soul!! He writhes on the floor, crying out in pain and agony, clutching the shining seal. |

| She floundered, watching him, just as helpless as he. She called out for the others, those who had tended to Daikirai before, and tried to calm her mind. Kaede then attempted to quash the dark forces surrounding him, crawling their way out from within him, employing the most powerful white magic at her disposal. She mangaged to calm the evil, if only for a few seconds.
"Daikirai! Listen to me-- I've bought you some time, but barely. Tell me anything you can, right this instant-- who is coming?" she demanded, her voice quavering as she strained against the immense power she was expending and her own fear. |

| Daikirai: That monster they sealed inside me! The one who lived off of the negative emotions of this world. That monster he tries to control me! Whenever I start to feel those engative emotions it feeds off of them and grows stronger. The seal tries to hold it back . . .
He cries out in pain and agony. Kesiri and Reliae come in. Kesiri kneels beside him. Kesiri: The demon is rising once more inside of him. She sits down and tries to calm him, stroking his brow. His cries become louder. Reliae: I think we've got to wait until he fights the demon off. Teguru enters. Teguru: He seems to be worse off than ever before. We take him someplace, and quickly. Reliae and Kesiri begin chanting, tracing a seal around the boy large enough to fit the people in the room. Reliae: We'll leave Shumo here? Teguru: We don't need Shumo. Besides he already left for his own reasons. The seal was complete after a few moments and when they had all stepped in it they were taken in a flash of white light. When the light vanished they were in the middle of a forest. Teguru: Now we must stand back and leave him for now. The three of us cannot do anything for him. Normally Kesiri can calm him, but it would seem the demon has aken a stronger hold than ever. |

((Graaah, I haven't replied in a week .o0. Sorry about that >< ...By the way, you have so many characters I've had a hard time keeping track of them all. Maybe you could make brief who's who kind of post? Thanks  ))
Kaede stood back, reluctant to leave, but unsure if she should stay. Daikirai's soft moans persisted. This is rather awkward, she thought, reaching down and slowly tearing a blade of grass. She felt a hardened grin tugging at the corners of her lips. The others tarried, and a few looked back at her, awaiting her decision. She could still hear the boy's cries, though they seemed to be subsiding. She quickly decided, "Go on ahead, I'll keep an eye on him." Kaede wasn't sure why, but she felt compelled to protect him. |

| Here is the who's who you asked for.
Daikirai: He is the vesself for all of the hatred in the world. The Church wants to get him under control because of all the trouble he has been causing with Genkimetsu. There is a monster inside of him that feeds off of negative feelings as well. Kesiri: Member of Genkimetsu. She is the one who looks after Daikirai the most. Under normal circumstances she can calm him down, however lately he has become increasingly difficult. Reliae: Member of Genkimetsu. Mother figure to Daikirai she and Teguru aren't really married however for the sake of their family image they make it seem that way. She helps Kesiri when Daikirai gets a little too out of control however she isn't nearly as effective. Teguru: Leader of Genkimetsu. He is Daikirai's father figure. It was originally his idea to try and harness the powers that Daikirai possessed. He provides his own brand of guidance to Daikirai. Shumo: Member of Genkimetsu. Sort of like Daikirai's elder brother figure. Or rival even. Perfers to be by himself generally because he can't stand to see how Kesiri fawns over Daikirai. Suki: Suki is a member of the Church. She is the vessel for all of the good feelings. She is the opposite of Daikirai. She was made into what she is in the hopes that she could keep a leash on the no doubt troublesome boy. Hope that helps. Teguru and the others move on ahead leaving her behind. Daikirai's cries become more frequent and racked with pain. Daikirai: NO! I CAN'T LET HIM WIN!!! AAARGGHHH!!! He falls down and rolls about on the ground writhing in pain. Black flames begin to swirl about him. Wounds begin to open. His arms and legs become lacerated. A line on either side of his face opens up. Each of them going over one of his eyes leaving the eye intact. The inner triangle of the seal on his forehead appears on his chest. It rips open the front and back of his shirt and is seen there. The seal on his head is glowing and it bleeds from the innermost triangle. Daikirai: SOMEONE! HELP ME!!!!! |

Kaede screamed in horror, her legs so weak she could barely stand. Wildly, she turned, her face hot and cheeks wet, hair whipping her face. She shouted after the figures in black, calling the first names that came to mind. "Teguru! Kesiri-- anyone?! Come back, he'll die if you don't do something!" The flames, roaring and dark as night, grew in front of her eyes. Negative emotions... she thought. That's what feeding the demon. If I can dispell his fear, I can save him. Kaede closed her eyes touched her temples on either side with her middle and forefingers. A stream of blue emerged from her forehad as she reached out with her mind as before, knowing the risk. She could be consumed as well, but she had to trust in her own constitution and strength of mind. Kaede reached desparately, fighting through the darkness, until she reached him. By then she was all but drained, her consciousness fluttering as she concentrated. Now it was up to Daikirai to grab the lifeline she had thrown him. | Daikirai: No! You will not take my body! It's mine!
The buy struggles to rise his eyes filled with hatred for the creature. Daikirai: I will turn your own power against you! The flames began to enter the boys body and he roared at the top of his lungs. Suki arrives without her entourage, and stands by watching in astonishment. Daikirai: No more will you control my body demon! He took that blue light Kaede had created and wrapped it around himself and his head. The seal began to dull. After a while the boy's cries ceased and he collapsed. Suki comes closer and creates a seal to take the two of them away from there. When Kaede awakes she finds herself in a large bed and Suki is sitting in a chair nearby. Suki: Ah you're awake. Feeling better? Thank you for helping him. Genkimetsu is only using him for their own purposes. That is one of the reasons why the Church has been trying to hard to get a hold of him. They are a corruptive influence. It's my duty to watch over him. |
