| I voted yes. I would, even though I don't have any plans to.
I do, sort of, in a way, have plans to name my son (assuming I have one) after a video game character. Particularly Quint, the obscure Megaman character who has appeared in the second and fifth Gameboy Megaman games, Rockboard for the Famicom, and the Wonderswan game Rockman and Forte (not to be confused with the SNES/GBA game of the same name). ... Except I'm not actually going to name him "Quint." I'm going to name him "Quinton." I will call him "Quint" though. I also want to give one of my kids the middle name Tiberius, not so much after the Roman emperor as after Captain/Admiral James Tiberius Kirk. I haven't given too much thoughts toward what to name a daughter, but there's certainly a list of anime and game names that I'd consider. As for pets, my dog is named Wicket. After the Ewok. We used to have a cat named Chewy, but I don't think that Chewbacca had any role in naming it that (it was named well before I was born, anyway). Also, I joke with my friends about our current cat, named "Maggie" by my sister, being the spawn of Kami Neko, the gray cat from Azumanga Daioh that tends to bite people, due to similar appearance (mostly gray) and similar tendancies (biting AND claws). |
