Well, would you?

The main reason I am asking is because my fiancee is a major Himura Kenshin fan.. I just recently got into him due to watching the movie, Samurai X. I had asked him if it were possible to do so, and he said of course! XD We're both a lil woo-hoo in the head I guess..

Personally, my favorite anime character is Gaara, but I doubt my fiance would want to name one of our sons, Gaara. =)

Edit: Aww.. poopie, I didn't do the poll right.

Edit: Edit: Nevermind.. O.o lol

No, I wouldn't.

Probably because I wouldn't want people laughing at their name...

Personally, I wouldn't. It'd sound kind of silly unless it was a common name or you lived in Japan.

Uh.

What.

No.

I mean, all the cool names are really weird... And common names, no one would know. Plus, then there's the matter that most anime sucks and isn't worth tributing... All of which adds up to "no."

Yes, I would name my first kid Kenshiro. My second Captain Tsubasa. My third Captain Harlock. And my fourth Char Aznable, the Red Comet.(known by his friends as Quattro Bageena)

No, no, no, no!

Such a thing has got to be the most horrible idea for a name ever. It's even worse than the parents who have their daughter the middle name "Marijuana". I swear, Japanophilia is getting out of hand in this generation. If I didn't know any better, I'd say they're trying to take over the world by forcing all their customs down people's throats in various different ways, corrupting an entire generation to make them vote for Japan-friendly candidates in elections (in democratic countries), just so they can uncensor their precious hentai which was forcibily censored by the Americans in World War II.

All that aside, Alastor summed it up pretty well for me.

Reminds me a few weeks ago in the newspaper when there were news about kids being given odd names in the last years ... 2 of them were characters from Dragonlance, no anime though

I wouldn't unless it happens to be a somewhat ordinary name, I mean it must suck for the kid to be named after an anime character or anything unusual if (s)he doesn't like it or is going to be laughed at for it at school and everywhere, and it'd be just weird if it ever became a serious trend and people were actually named Naruto23689 and such

No way, I could come up with an absolutely awesome name.

Or I could be a loser and name my sun Sinfjotli.

Maybe, but it would probably be inadvertent. You know, choosing a common name that JUST so happens to be the name of someone in a recent anime.

Maybe an animal, but not a person.

I'm wanting to someday get a cat though and name him Megatron.

Maybe. I've always liked the name Marle, but that's a video game character. For a male, I would have to say Glenn. ^^ (I'm a big CT nut). Anyways: I'd probably go with video game characters instead of anime characters. Just think of calling for your little "Goku", "Ichigo", "Misty", or "Ranma". It would just sound dumb to everyone who doesn't get it.
