| My sister turned 18 this year, then went off to Kirkwood College which is on the other side of the state. Yesterday, she was drunk off her ass, and being the idiot she is, she tried driving. Well, since she was drunk, she het my cousin. I don't know if he's ok or not. So my parents call me this morning when I got back from my friend's house, and tell me this. They then tell me that there might be something wrong with my sister, and they have to put her in a home. I'm not sure what they meant; an insanity home, or a rehabilitation clinic. So here I am, and I don't know what to do. Disregarding everything I just said, the biggest problem is that I don't care. I'm not happy about it, but it doesn't bother me for some reason. I don't even feel bad about not caring. This isn't the only example either. It's as though all emotion has left my being, and I'm not sure what I need to do. | |||

| It's hard to say exactly why you feel nothing, but if I had to guess, you're just in a bit of shock. People tend to be a bit numb when something incredibly major happens, only feeling the actual impact a bit later.
For the time being, just try to continue living your life. When the actual emotions come, they're worth worrying about. Until then, there's not much you can do besides hope for the best. |
