Luke couldn't contain himself as he started laughing. This had long since stopped being a battle of power and was now a battle of egos.

Luke: "You really don't know who I am."

Luke could only manage to spit a few words out between laughs.

Luke: "You and I have never met."

Luke continued to choke on words.

Luke: "I am above anything you've ever seen. Far beyond what you could imagine. Unlike any being you ever met, I've always been around. I remember my own birth, can you say the same?"

Luke finally calmed down and spoke directly.

Luke: "Safe to say, I'm on an entirely different league than you. My hole of darkness, I've seen your type before. An anti-thesis to fate is just a being that exists outside of fate. Those aren't as rare as you seem to think."

He sighed, explaining this seemed so pointless.

Luke: "I control both ends of the spectrum. I am granted absolute freedom. You aren't even worth my breath Siryx. Please, tell your masters that if they want to meet me they should come look for me themselves."

Luke played a note and a chain of fate formed on his neck. He turned away from Siryx and started walking away, holding onto Maya's hand and bringing her with him.

Siryx smiled...

... and then, a massive array of chains of fate, all bathed in corrupt red light, came out of nowhere, forming a thick wall before Luke, preventing him from leaving.

"Well, at least, you have a sense of humor. Sadly, you will soon enough learn the limits of your powers. A "simple hole of Darkness" I might be... but that is what makes me most dangerous. Who knows what can spring up from the depths of the deepest holes...." said the creature, grinning as the crimson chains continued to swarm and distort above, consuming this Dimension's fate while replacing with his own, twisted version of it...

"I shall make sure to tell those who brought me back that you aren't cooperating. We shall both see the effects it shall have on this Dimension..." the humanoid creature turned away on those words and begun to walk away...

... but then, stopped in its tracks and turned back to Luke. Then, Siryx pointed at Luke and the wall of weird chains disappeared as suddenly as it had appeared... "I look foward to meeting you again..."

... and then, the creature disappeared and everything was back to normal... except that Frigidia was still gone. Delia slowly approached Luke, eyes widened...

"Okay... what was that all about?!? Who are you? What was this being? I mean..." but then, she remembered something... namely, how he had said that he was some kind of superior being...

Could it be... really? Could it be? "Mis... mister? Are you... Are you a Hunter? A realone? One of those beings who supposely created the Dimensions and all of the timeline?"

Luke: "He's quite the sad sight, but for now I'll play along."

Maya: "Luke... can you restrain yourself in this dimension? I know that what you did was showing a lot of restraint, but can you use more than that? We don't even know what these beings are like."

Luke: "Yeah, don't worry about it, just give me a good kick to the head if I start going to crazy."

Luke laughed sincerely, which always made Maya shake her head. This probably wasn't the best time.

Luke: "As for your question though, no. I'm not a 'hunter'. I'm a uh, well really, I'm not sure what you could call me. I certainly have my own set of abilities and powers."

Maya just rolled her eyes, Luke knew exactly what he was, he just didn't want to sit here for a day explaining it.

Delia rose an eyebrow. Huh? Not a Hunter?...

...

Delia frowned. Well, that's what you get when you expect those silly legends to be true. Huh? What is she thinking? She KNOW that the legends are made up! I mean... shapeless immortal, almighty entities that possess objects and use them as their bodies as they travel the Universe, creating Dimensions? Come on! That can't be true! That is ridiculous!

... but still... that creature... Siryx... she heard of him somewhere before...

... !!! This can't be!

Siryx! According to the legends, an Ex Being halfbreed named Siryx was the embodiement of Evil, the Avatar for the Absolute Evil himself, nothing less!

... but how could this possibly be?!? According to the legends, Siryx broke free from the Absolute Evil's control and vanished from the timeline when the Absolute Evil and the source of his poisonous power was smashed into pieces by the Mother Ex!

This being...

... the Hunters...

This being, was it truly Siryx... THE Siryx she have read about in her books? The infamous Anti-Ex that acted as the living vessel for the ultimate enemy?

... she can't believe it. All of this is too... too... crazy...

... yet, she cannot deny what she saw... what she felt...

She blinked a few times, staring at the weird human. His power was strange... and she had this feeling...

"You're not a Hunter? I... see..." the Ex Being remained there, so very nervous... and then, realized something.

Frigidia was... gone!

She began to pace around, trying to find traces of the other Ex Being. "... where is she? What happened here?!?" she had this horrible feeling... the feeling that she had been somehow killed.

Yes, she had wished secretely that this horrible wind bag would someday choke on her words and die... but that was just frustration, not her true wishes! This is horrible! Besides, considering she's the last one to run into her and that NO ONE would believe that a weird humanoid Raichu killed her, she would be in deeeep trouble! Oh dear...

... and besides... what kind of creature could kill someone so easily without leaving any traces?!?

This is crazy... just too... crazy...

...

During this time...

...

"I have... returned..." Siryx said, bowing down.

A massive figure stood by the window, looking down at the planet below...

"Look at them, Siryx... look at those... mortals. Living comfortably on their little planet, ignorant of the grand scheme of things. To them, this miserable little speck of tiny sand is the world... little do they know just how unsignificant and pathetic they truly are. In the end, they are just mortals... creatures created by us to worship and serve us. Such... is the fate of inferior beings... of mortals." said the figure in a deep yet majestic-sounding voice...

The figure then turned to face the Raichu. "So... are you bringing back that mortal to me?"

The creature shook his head. "He... isn't cooperating."

"Then... why did you return?" asked the figure, stepping foward.

"I thought you would like to find out that he might require some... re-education... once he shall be back." explained Siryx quite plainly.

"You do not understand, Siryx. You were meant to return with the mortal. Not to do so is to fail. You are nothing but a mere mortal, a worthless, expendable mass of ugly, fetid flesh. To fail is to commit a sin against me... which is punished by death and eternal damnation." replied the figure, its azure blue eyes filling with a murderous intent...

Siryx stood up, a feeling of frustration rising... "I did not fail! I only wanted to inform you of..."

"Enough. You shall be screaming your lungs out for all eternity in Hell, begging for forgiveness for your failure. Guards! Take him to the execution deck!" interrupted the figure, its voice growing louder, an accusating tone rising.

Two figures approached... and stopped next to Siryx, as if hesitating. The figure's eyes glowed, intense rage rising.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!? He FAILED! Damn that WORTHLESS PIECE OF SHIT for all eternity, as it deserve! HMPH! That's what I get for digging up the old toys of pathetic mortals!" roared the figure, throwing a fit and striking fear into the hearts of the guards... but not into Siryx's.

"Bu... but... he didn't really fa..." the guard couldn't even complete his sentence that the figure pointed at the two. In an instant, the two screamed in terror as the figure pointed at them.

FWOOOSH!

Flames appeared out of nowhere and reduced the guards to ashes. The figure then turned to Siryx... "HMPH! Fine... FINE THEN! I will give you one last chance... ONLY ONE! Bring those foolish souls to the Dark Gate for eternal damnation and resume your mission at once!... and this time, return with the mortal! Failure WILL be punished!"

Siryx, smiling, nodded... which enraged the figure. "WHAT ARE YOU SMILING FOR? I will teach you respect, impudent mortal!"

The figure rushed foward...

CRACK!

... and broke Siryx's right arm! "This is for your defiance, fool!"

... and then, Siryx's eyes widened as he felt his entire body burning with pain as the figure injected into his body a special chemical that caused all of his body cells to go awry. Starting from there, he would be in constant, intense pain until either he was cured or killed from the poison the figure had injected into him.

"... and that is for your failure!" the figure calmed down and soon, its eyes were filled with a kind of sadistic pleasure. "... and that is just a little preview of what you will feel for all eternity should you fail. Now... GO!"

The figure kicked Siryx into the face, knocking him down and breaking his nose. He then kicked into his ribs with all of its strength, knocking him away. He kicked into him again and again until the poor creature was sent flying out of the room.

With the creature out, the figure returned to look at the planet...

"Mortals! Stupid mortals who believe they are equals! They are nothing but tools meant to be used! They have no rights! That worthless Siryx... I revived him and that's how he thank me? He should be bowing down, worshipping me with all of his heart and obeying my orders strictly and placing them above his safety and dignity... not that mortals have any. But no! He have to have a will of his own! That is no way to treat the perfect, almighty, and all-knowing God of the entire Universe!" whined the figure to itself. "Once I will have kicked those silly mortal-loving imposters out... I will make the world as it should!... with us above and the mortals below, worshipping us and obeying us! Fate will rule over absolutely everything and I will eliminate that stupid "free will"! Free will... what a stupid mistake it was to give that to lowly mortals! Oh well..."

The figure then fell silent again... watching... plotting... hating...

There was a silence for a few seconds.

Luke: "Well Maya, I assume you have a place to stay?"

Maya sighed, the absolutely worst thing about Luke was living with him. He didn't make a mess, he did everything he was told, and all he would do is tune his guitar and play silent songs. It was like living with a ghost. He would zone out for several hours at a time and wouldn't say anything. This drove Maya nuts. They had been together for a while, but they had hardly ever kissed or done anything. Maya knew that Luke had feelings for her, why else would he be here, and Maya was devoted to Luke.

Maya devotion was no sign of weakness though. Luke had saved her once. When they were both younger and Maya was nothing more than a mana-battery. A slave to barbarians. He was so innocent back then and Maya truly believed that he was the same little boy. He might have been shown the horrors of people and what they do, but she didn't think he really knew all there was to know... or maybe it was the thought of kids that drove Luke away from his physical side.

There was so many unanswered questions about Luke, that Maya wasn't sure if he was even capable of having kids, or if his kid would inherit any of his powers. Taking a look at her own opinion on the subject though, Maya wasn't quite sure she wanted to have kids, it would be a responsibility she would rather not have to face.

Luke: "Maya, you all right?"

Maya: "Oh, oh sorry. I just kind of got lost in my own thoughts... Yeah, I have a house, but well... you're going to make fun of me."

Luke: "You must have been deep in thought, I thought I saw a familiar face, I'm going to go check it out and I'll meet you at your house later."

Maya: "Are you sure it's safe?"

Luke: "You aren't affected by fate as it is and you can handle yourself. This is important though."

As Delia kept pacing about, people begun to gather at the strange scene that had just unfolded...

... but it seemed that no one was paying attention to Luke, Maya, and Delia. In fact... for a moment, the chains of Fate loosened...

Durandal kept watching Luke...

... those events were linked to this being. The weapon could sense that this creature was not a normal one... and glimpses of events that goes beyond time and space were seen... even if it was just for half a second.

The weapon knew it was bound to Delia like Delia was bound to it... and that Delia was a peace-loving, naive being who, if allowed to, would live all of her life quietly within the confines of Fate, never dreaming of anything else.

... at this moment, Delia did seem so... ordinary.

She was good-hearted... but she was the opposite of the ideals of Mother Ex. She was a Slave of Fate, a being locked in self-created limitations and following a baseless, meaningless set of moral rules set by others. A being bound by Fate in such a grotesque way would never be able to comprehend the nature of the events unfolding...

... in fact, it even angered the Dark Weapon.

This human is a being from beyond, an exceptionnal mortal, a being who defy the space-time continuum and could bring out so much!

... and Delia is locked in her silly selfish dellusions, worrying about minor troubles of a boring everyday life!

If only Delia could grasp the scope of what had just happened... of the potential changes to the timeline and to the planned future! The ability to separate herself from her Fate and becoming a true Ex Being was within her grasp... but her mind is too narrow, too limited, too ignorant and naive to realize it.

... such a sad state of affair...

The two will leave and Delia won't even realize nor even suspect what could have been...

Maya: "So Delia, I think you should come with me for a while, just in case."

Maya tried her hardest to be sincere and to hide the truth. The conflicting emotions in her voice would trigger off anyone that was paying attention, but Delia was hopefully still shell shocked from the events.

Maya: "Really, you don't want to put yourself in harms way."

Luke walked away from Maya and Delia, noticing a very familiar face on the other side of the street. If his eyes didn't deceive him, it might help him track down that bastard Lexuk. When he was out of sight of Delia and Maya, he broke out of his walk into a dead sprint. Thoughts swirled in his head as the bard recalled the face.

It was Nijote, it had to be Nijote, the same eyes and smile. Luke saw her, her long bla--woah, wait a minute. Her hair wasn't black anymore, it was... blond? What? Luke stopped short as the woman he thought was Nijote turned around. It was Nijote, but she looked different now. There was no corruption around her or blood on her hands, was this just a look-alike?

Luke examined the threads of fate around her, it was Nijote, no doubt.

Luke: "What are you doing here?"

Nijote's nobody just looked at Luke.

Luke: "Rather, what is your name?"

Pastless: "Pastless."

It was Nijote's Nobody, what next?
