No firm dates set in stone, and the VC ones are interesting, but let's start with Wii... (all credit to Kotaku)
CONFIRMED LAUNCH: Wii Sports (pack-in), The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Excite Truck LAUNCH WINDOW: Call of Duty 3, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Rapala, Tournament Fishing, Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam, World Series of Poker: Tournament of Champions, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2, Trauma Center: Second Opinion, Madden NFL '07, Need for Speed: Carbon, Elebits, Happy Feet, Rampage: Total Destruction, The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, The Ant Bully, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz, Metal Slug Anthology, Super Swing Golf, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Barnyard, Cars, SpongeBob SquarePants: The Creature from the Krusty Krab, Far Cry: Vengeance, GT Pro Series, Monster 4X4 World Circuit, Open Season, Rayman Raving Rabbids, Red Steel, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Double Agent, Ice Age 2: The Meltdown A healthy mix of the good, the promising and the crappy. I hope Metal Slug Anthology is cheap because that's a game I could sink my teeth into... I have hopes for Super Monkey Ball and Excite Truck too. Oh, and Zelda. Now onto the VC stuff, which I'm going to sort out by system/publisher... again, all of these are launch window, meaning between launch and the end of the year... NES (500 points) Nintendo: Baseball, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., Ice Hockey, Legend of Zelda, Mario Bros., Pinball, Soccer, Tennis, Urban Champion, Wario's Woods Tecmo: Solomon's Key (Thoughts: Wow, Nintendo's really breaking out the old titles. Wario's Woods is interesting because it was the last licensed game for the system but I'm surprised SMB didn't make the cut. Solomon's Key is a big WTF because it's the only third party game on the list but if you've never played it... it's good. Trust me. Action/puzzle.) SNES (800 points) Nintendo: F-Zero, SimCity (Thoughts: Only two?!? No SMW to boot? Very strange...) N64 (1000 points) Nintendo: Super Mario 64 (Thoughts: Gotta save Ocarina of Time, right? ) Sega Genesis (800 points) Sega: Altered Beast, Columns, Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, Ecco the Dolphin, Golden Axe, Gunstar Heroes, Ristar, Sonic the Hedgehog, Space Harrier II, Toe Jam & Earl (Thoughts: Wow... pretty strong launch lineup by Sega. Gunstar Heroes is a fantastic little addition and most of those games are really good. Good job, guys!) TurboGrafx-16 (600 points) Hudson: Bomberman '93, Bonk's Adventure, Dungeon Explorer, Super Star Soldier, Victory Run (Thoughts: Bonk is good. Bomberman is good. I've never played the rest but Dungeon Explorer was developed by Atlus so I may have to take a peek.) |

I was expecting more for the SNES than just 2 games. I was hoping the Donkey Kong Country Series would make the cut. I've been playing those 3 games lately and haven't gotten bored yet.
I'm likely not going to use my Wii Points on the N64 games since I still do own a N64 that works just fine. Instead, I'll use them for mostly the NES and Sega Genesis. As for the Wii games, the only game I want for sure is Red Steel. I'm still can't make up my mind if I want the Gamecube or the Wii version of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. |

Don't forget those are only launch titles. More stuff's going to be added through the next several years. XD It could be stronger but it's not bad.

I wonder if they charge the same amounts of points in Europa.
I wonder how much 1000 points would be in US dollars. |

My guess is 1,000 points = $10 US
Bear in mind that it is a guess and if it turns out to be accurate bear in mind I am allergic to fruits and vegetables. (no booing me off the stage either) :EDIT: Oh, I was right....didn't see his post when I made mine though. (edited by Koitenshin +∞ on 11-01-06 12:03 AM) |

I wondered what the point cards were that I saw on the site I preordered Wii from.
But 2,000 point cards there costs 27$. Letīs say that you buy two N64 games sometime. Then you only pay 20$ but still payed more for that card. I hate how things are more expensive here. And the is a little more worth than the US $. Edit: Iīll mostly concentrate on NES, SNES and Genesis games as I own an N64 already. I do have a NES too but there are many more games with thtat too. I might download a FEW N64 games, though. But not SM64. Got that for the N64 and my DS so thatīs not necessary. (edited by Fire Trapster on 11-01-06 06:25 AM) |

I'm sure some places will end up selling the card at $20 (plus tax). The tax part is a little ew but at least there's a method for people who don't want to/can't use a credit card.

The only Wii games I'm interested in, are Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Red Steel, and Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles. And according to the information, it seems that Red Steel is the only one out of these that will be in the launch window. But, it's a decent amount of games coming out for the Wii in this launch window. I think the Wii will be a good system.

Brawl was never planned to be in the launch window, though.

Give them patience with Brawl. If "patience" means "tons of multiplayer options and modes" then it's good.

If they release brawl without online multiplayer... so help me... it will be Hiroshima and Nagasaki all over again...

Well, odds are it'll have 2-player at worst. Cross your fingers for 4-player, it has to happen.

Isn't Brawl the only Wii game to use that little controller and not the remote?
I also heard something about the Gamecube controller... |

Gah, I was hoping their points would cost a little less than the 360's, in comparison.
Doupt I'll buy a lot of VC games though, unless we get some rare / unreleased stuff. |

Several games could use the classic controller. The VC stuff does for sure.
Nintendo eventually wants original stuff on the VC service. Cross your fingers. |
