Alright, so I have world desigined in SMB3, using SMB3 workshop, and I'm mostly self taught. What I've found out through experimenting with the editor, and the official game is that there can only be so many enemy sprites at a time on the screen, Right?
Well, there's a level I'm working on now, where I'm positive I'm no where near the limit of enemies per screen, yet I can't seem to get certian ones to load. I've got shots of in game, and then that spot on the editor here: (edited by PoisonRain on 10-29-06 05:21 PM) (edited by PoisonRain on 10-29-06 05:25 PM) |

Inthe file you downloaded, go to docs andclick on the html file called enemies. This will give you a list of what enemies can be on screen and what can't. (edited by Tanks on 10-28-06 09:32 AM) |

Everything there checks out fine, And when enemies that arn't compatable are together, they just glitch up, not disapear compleatly.

You are limited to 5 enemies on the screen at a time (with very few rare exceptions). When I say on the screen, I do not mean visible screen. I mean in memory screen, which is a about 30 pixels to the left and right off screen.

For future reference, renaming a bmp to jpg doesn't make it a jpg. You have to actually convert the files...
You can even do it in paint.exe - just load the files in it, then go to Save As and in the drop down box, select jpg. |

photobucket converts .bmp files to .jpg when you upload them to it

No, it doesn't. It renames the file from bmp to jpg which has nothing to do with converting. It's like renaming a 40mb wav file to mp3 and saying its an mp3.
Edit: I'm not trying to be a dickhead. It would just be annoying for a dialup user to try to read a thread with 1.5mb bmp files that could have been easily compressed to 150kb or less. (edited by Stabwound on 10-29-06 02:17 PM) (edited by Stabwound on 10-29-06 03:19 PM) |
