Play-Asia's trying to cover their own asses here and I'm not surprised. Better safe than sorry right now.

On the other hand, if they stop orders and Sony STILL goes after them, then there's no excuse.

In the past, I have bought several items from Lik-Sang.com

The first item I ever ordered from them was an N64 Gameshark Pro for $30 - I chose Lik-Sang b/c they had a surplus - it would have been fifty in the US. Although it had great hacking software, my Game Shark was very finiky, and finally died after about six months - when I was saving the code "Mario 64 Everything Cap", my TV screen garbled up and when I reset all was dead

I had also ordered a portable famicom (3rd party crap), of which I had to stuff a piece of cardboard between the cartrige to keep it from resetting. Oh, and their "Global Priority" mail system was sooo sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooww....... Once I waited like 4 months for a product to get there, although I was being cheap with postage. I ordered two items a month apart and a month and a half later, both arrived on the same day.

But I did get my hands on a special little gem of a GBA cart:
Famicom Mini Series #21: FDS Super Mario 2j
Known in the USA as the lost levels, I got about as far on it as my fiance did on SMB1 - which is "not very"

I believe the day that it finally arrived at my doorstep, made it all the more worth it in the end

Yeah, it does annoy me that Nintendo would go after the supplier of a device that can be, but isn't exclusively, used for piracy rather than the actual pirates. But at least they were suing over sales of a piracy-related item, and just filed one lawsuit to regain the losses they claim to have suffered (whether they did or not is another story). As opposed to Sony's exploitation of the law to run someone out of business for selling their own product.

I'm not even kidding. If they shut down PA, I will officialy and forever abandon the Sony brand. This is not fangirlism based, its the fact that Sony is being complete jackasses to these legitimate, useful, and resourceful companies for no reason.

With all the BS they've pulled recently, you haven't already? I was never a fan of their products to begin with, and I completely stopped buying any Sony product after that rootkit incident.

I removed the direct link to their site but it linked to a page at ljk-sang.com that probably (I didn't click the link obviously) asks for login info. Anyone else get an e-mail like this?

What was the point of that lawsuit? Sony still made the money off the PSPs.

I'll admit I was not a huge fan of the rootkit dealie, but I won't lie, the Sony products I do own, namely the few games that were PSX/2 specific that I still love to play, are obviously only playable on their products granted, Sony themself did not make the game product, so it dosn't make much of a difference. Regardless, I would boycot their entire product line, yes, games and all, if they were to get PA shut down. There's just some things you don't fool with.

Well I can't blame you for not throwing out your existing Sony products. I still use my Playstation (albeit mostly for NES emulation) sometimes. Buying new products and using the ones you already have are quite separate.

Nintendo sued Lik-Sang because Lik-Sang sold Flashcards and writer for Game Boy and Nintendo 64.

And I could understand Sony, if it really was illegal or moral not accectable to sell PSP's to Europe (It remains uncertain, if the PSP or PS3 are devices of hell or not), but It's a complete different matter to sue one company in many different countries for the same reason in the same time frame.

On a sidenote: Phoenix Writh lost it.

True.

Thing is, back in the Atari days, Atari had complete domination and were close to dominating if I recall, while today we have three diffrent major consoles and two handhelds.
