Yeah, but the difference is most companies care about the customers supplying the money.

No they don't. Normally companies look at you, see a number, an associated bank account, and if you want more recognition you can buy stock and then get told to bugger off.

Fan boy association to companies is so weird. For five bucks a company would willingly beat you with a pool cue until you got detached retinas.

I looked around, I did not see anything about them sending the Wii through Lik-Sang. O_o

Or perhaps they took it down since the site is now dead supposedly? Who knows. I clicked on all the referral links in this thread anyhoo and registered each time. (Through different emails)

Then again, knowing them they probably have some sort of protection against that.

They may not care about you personally, but they at least do tend to give a damn what people have to say. Sony, on the other hand, would beat you with said cue just for fun.

I'm pretty sure they can just order the wiis from another company. Anyway, as far as this site goes, it's not really a scam, but if you do the math it's highly unlikely for anyone even on the second tier of one of these "conga lines" (or whatever they're called) to actually get one.

I see no reason why you can't use an armada of proxies and sign yourself up several times.

You'd need different sets of personal info even if you were using proxies, however. It's a lot more work than just putting a link up and hoping for the best.

Has ANYONE freaking gotten the screensave one to work? I tried one of the cell phone ones, and did not download a ringtone because it said it would sign me up for $20 a month AFTERWARDS!

So I think it charged me, but I canceled the subscription...

Any luck?

I think you might have to do the screensave offer again AFTER the spyware screensaver is installed. I'm going to attempt that and see what happens.

PS: I noticed something different happens if you click the offer link with the spyware installed.. It just blew through the first few screens it showed last time and went straight to the downloading section. I'll see what happens now.

I don't know about that one either, but it is a very difficult one to test since it supposedly takes 12 full hours for confirmation afterwards.. I'm sure someone has completed it (or one of them at least) though, as my one ref shows as completed after all.

It's working again. I just checked and both myself and the person I referred have both been confirmed as completing the screensaver offer.
