| Does anyone have any remedies for fixing CD's? I've sanded a NFSU2 disc back to working fully, kinda (loading screens everywhere and skipping music), but is there any other stuff I could do to fix it.
I know this is about fixing a game, but it is still software I guess. |

| If it's minor scratches, usually toothpaste works (though minor scratches don't normally affect playback); if they're major scratches, then there's specially products that you spin around a few dozen times to take it out. Some of them actually work, others don't; you have to be careful and ask people that are actually experienced with said products.
And if you can see actual punctures in the data layer (hold it up to light and if you can see holes), there's nothing you can do unless the discs have good redundancy data (almost everything doesn't). |

| I saw toothpaste and Brasso in the WikiHow. I used Vaseline, and somehow, it plays perfectly for about 2 hours. Then I heated the Vaseline with a hair dryer, and it seems to be working a lot better.
