edit: it is revelation 13:18. I've read many translations of it. The one in my copy of the bible is "Whoever is intelligenct can work out the meaning of the number of the beast, because the number stands for a man's name. Its number is 666". That translations lends credence to the idea that Revelations was a piece of political propganda against the Roman emperors (616 being code for Caligula, I believe). Also, the translation that I always grew up hearing was "Let he who hath understanding reckon the number of the beast, for it is a human number. This number is six hundred and sixty six." Mind you, Greek is fairly hard to translate. As well as multiple schools arising to deal with the various issues of the Book of Revelations. On a related note, I just finished a book (fiction) and a piece of history read in it said that a bunch of Templars or something like that were killed in mass numbers on Friday the 13th. There's a no-brainer about it's unlucky mess. |

| Funny you just made clear what I was saying on my previous post, since that book (the one you read) is The Da Vinci Code.
But yeah, 13 is just because a bunch of Templars were killed in mass numbers on Friday the 13th, and 666 is just political propaganda against the Roman emperors, so, let's say 1337 is the true evil number and that elitists are evil! XD |
